Weekly Fantasy Football Picks for ScoreStreak Week 1

Looking for our picks for traditional salary cap leagues like FanDuel and Draftkings? Click here.

DFSR has partnered with ScoreStreak: a new, innovative style of DFS play. Gone is the salary finagling, mixing and matching, and hair-pulling that goes into setting lineups. ScoreStreak simplifies the process in an easy-to-use interface. Employing a prop-pick style, ScoresStreak leagues are specific outcome dependent with three categories: Total Bases, Hits, and for pitchers, Strikeouts.

QB Touchdowns

Drew Brees
In any given week, Brees will be a terrific touchdown play. The reason our projection system likes him best in this one is the perceived pace that the game will be played at. The game features a delicious 51.5 over/under, and Atlanta's pass defense was the 12th worst in the NFL last year. It's good enough for our system to project Brees as the top overall touchdown getter, and it isn't especially close.

Peyton Manning
This one won't shock you, unless it's because Manning is below Brees. With Manning's usurper on the opposite sideline in prime time, Manning rates to want to go off. He very well could, but our projection system likes him as "merely" second best.

All purpose yards

LeSean McCoy
It's rare that you can go wrong in picking Shady McCoy for the top all purpose yards selection, but even rarer when the Eagles are facing a team like the Jags. McCoy is a guy who can kill opposing defenses by catching passes or by running between the tackles, and the Jags' 4th worst rushing defense last season shouldn't inspire any great hope that McCoy will be bottled up even for a minute.

Matt Forte
Another dynamite all-purpose back, Forte will ply his trade against the Buffalo Bills run defense, which is only a hair's breadth better than the Jags (at least according to last year's stats). Like the Eagles, the Bears are a heavy favorite, which should give their workhorse back plenty of touches with which to gather a ton of all purpose yards.

Receptions

Antonio Brown
The departure of Emmanuel Sanders is going to give even more looks to the Steelers' superstar wide out, and regardless of whatever else happens, Roethlisberger should look his way plenty of times during what rates to be yet another Pittsburgh trouncing of the Browns.

Andre Johnson
Surprised to see this Johnson, and not the other? Here's the thing - the big changes to the Texans' offense this year might make some dent, but no new Quarterback walks in and looks away from #80. Johnson is a guy who racks up targets regardless of who is throwing to him, and the Redskins' backfield doesn't have anyone that should be able to change that.
