A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets All hitter stats provided are against the handedness of the pitcher they are facing Early Slate The San Francisco Giants vs. Aaron Blair Kicking things off, we've got a short 3 game early slate to look at, and the stacking option that stands out to me the most is the Ginats vs. Aaron Blair. Blair is the lowest priced pitcher on the slate for a reason, as he's got some numbers that have to be considered poor at best. His biggest weakness comes when he faces left-handed pitching, where he's allowing a line of .320/.448/.489, an xFIP of 6.60 and he's walked 9 batters compared to recording only 3 strikeouts. To be honest his numbers against right-handed batters are pretty terrible as well so I would say that all Giant hitters are in play today. Our projection system really likes guys like Buster Posey, Brandon Belt, Brandon Crawford, and Denard Span, but as I already mentioned you can really mix and match any combination of hitters to take advantage of this matchup. I'm not crazy about the ballpark factor and...

Daily Fantasy MLB Pitcher Breakdown FanDuel and DraftKings- 6/2/16 Welcome to our new daily article breaking down some of the other pitching targets on this slate. Pitching Targets We already covered Madison Bumgarner, Wade Miley and Jared Eickhoff in our main picks article.  If you want breakdowns on those guy head over there. Early Slate I'm going to make this real simple for you. Play Bumgarner. That is all. Late Slate Matt Boyd FD 5200 DK 6400 Opponent - NYY (Pineda) Park - @DETFD - 23.54 DK - 11.49 If your goal is to load up on Rockies/Reds/Red Sox bats today, I think that Matt Boyd makes for a very interesting play, particularly on Fanduel where he's the second cheapest pitcher on the slate. Now I will be the first to admit that Boyd got roughed up quite a bit last year, but he seems to have gotten it together in the limited amount of time he's pitched this season. His ERA is waaaaaaay down (almost 5 whole runs), his K/9 is up, his BB/9 is down, and his GB % has jumped nearly 9% since last season. While the Yankees don't strike out a ton, they are near the bottom in offensive rankings this season when it comes to facing southpaws, so that bodes well for Boyd here. This is definitely a shot in the dark, but I think running Boyd in a couple of GPP's could have a big payoff tonight. Carlos Carrasco FD 10200 DK 10300 Opponent - KC (Ventura) Park - @CLEFD - 35.04 DK - 18.88 For those of you considering using Carlos Carrasco as your pitcher tonight I'd ask that you strongly reconsider that decision. Not that Carrasco has been bad or anything this...

Stack Targets (Hitter stats provided are vs. the handiness of the pitcher they are facing) Early Slate The Houston Astros vs. Patrick Corbin We called for an Astros stack yesterday and boy did it pay off. The 'Stros find themselves in another nice lefty matchup with Patrick Corbin, who isn't terrible but is struggling mightily against right-handed batters. For the season against a right-handed split he's got a K/9 ratio of only 4.66, an xFIP of 4.65 and a wOBA of .343. Those are numbers we can certainly work with as far as stacks go, and the Astros are by far the best stacking option on the early slate. Again I'm targeting guys like Evan Gattis (.411 wOBA), Jose Altuve (.464 wOBA), Carlos Correa (.347 wOBA for his career), and George Springer (.405 wOBA). Each of these guys should be hitting near the middle or top of the order so look for each of them to see plenty of chances to put up some big numbers again (I know Gattis didn't play yesterday but he should be in the lineup today). Late...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets (Hitter stats provided are vs. the handiness of the pitcher they are facing) Early Slate The Houston Astros vs. Edwin Escobar Now I understand the reluctance to stack the Astros given some of the struggles they've had this year, but things are trending in the right direction, and facing a journeyman minor-league pitcher will certainly help. There isn't much info available on Escobar other than he's a high 4's ERA guy during his 8 years in the minors, who's K/BB ratio is nearly 2. This could easily mean trouble for Escobar against a Houston team that's full of young guys who for their careers destroy left-handed pitching. For this stack I'm targeting guys like Evan Gattis (.411 wOBA), Jose Altuve (.440 wOBA), Carlos Correa (.341 wOBA for his career), and George Springer (.373 wOBA). Each of these guys should be hitting near the middle or top of the order so look for each of them to see plenty of chances to put up some big numbers today. The Coors Field Stack Honestly you can stack this one either way you'd...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.   Stack Targets   Early Slate Toronto Blue Jays vs. CC Sabathia (Yankees) The early slate is a little short, but if you're into that type of thing I can't see how you would be able to pass up a Blue Jays stack against a lefty in one of the best hitters parks in all of baseball. Sabathia has some pretty decent numbers this season, but he's also benefitted from some unsustainably good run (check the main article to read Brent's breakdown). Not to mention that he's been significantly worse this season in the hitters haven that is Yankee Stadium. So moving on to the hitters for Toronto, there isn't much surprise as to who you should target for this stack. The usual suspects such as Josh Donaldson, Edwin Encarnacion, and Jose Bautista are definitely in play, as well as cheaper options such as Russell Martin, Justin Smoak, and Devon Travis (who believe it or not is hitting .322 with an OPS of .958 vs lefties in 63 career PA). If you want to pay up for Fernandez it might be...
