Welcome to the daily fantasy hockey picks article for DraftKings, FanDuel, and DraftPot for Tuesday, December 8th, 2015. There are 9 games in the NHL Tuesday night and only the Nashville Predators are playing on back to back nights. There are plenty of top end goalies to choose from tonight so we will be looking closely at vegas odds, team home/road splits and current form. I love the top options for forwards tonight(Ovechkin, Seguin, Kane) as their salaries continue to drop. Lets dig into some core plays for Tuesday and some value plays to allow us room for the elite talent.

GOALIES

Jake Allen - St. Louis Blues vs. ARI *CONFIRMED*
DraftKings - $7,700 FanDuel - $9,400 DraftPot - 3.00 DPPG

He makes a great GPP play on Tuesday as he is coming off two straight losses giving up seven goals in total. This should drive most people to other top options tonight. Dig a little deeper and you can see why he is a good pick. First of all, he has been great so far with a 11-6-2 record with a .92 save %. He is also unbeaten in his career vs. the Coyotes with a 3-0 record and .952 save percentage.

Cory Schneider - New Jersey Devils @ TOR *PROBABLE*
DraftKings - $7,400 FanDuel - $8,700 DraftPot - 4.44 DPPG

The Devils are right in the mix in the Eastern Conference in large part to their strong defensive play and outstanding goaltending lead by Schneider. He is 12-7-3 on the season with a .925 save % and is unbeaten in his career vs. the Leafs with a 4-0 record and .942 save percentage. He is safe choice for any format.

Also Consider - Martin Jones - San Jose Sharks @ CGY

CENTER

Tyler Seguin - Dallas Stars vs. CAR 
DraftKings - $8,700 FanDuel - $8,700 DraftPot - 5.15 DPPG

He is tied for 2nd in league scoring with linemate Jamie Benn and has seen his salary drop $300 in the last 10 games. While he has been a bit cold lately with only three points and a -1 rating in his last four games, he has picked up 25 shots in the process. He is safe in all formats and has a ton of upside in a matchup vs. the Hurricanes who are ranked 27th in goals against per game.

David Backes - St. Louis Blues vs. ARI
DraftKings - $4,800 FanDuel - $7,300 DraftPot - 3.10 DPPG

He has picked up the pace after a slow start to the season with seven point in his last 10 games. Even in the games he has not provided scoring he has provided a nice floor with shots and penalty minutes(bonus on FanDuel). Nice home matchup on Tuesday vs, the Coyotes who have lost four straight games and have been worse on the road. He is a great play on DraftKings where he will cost less than 10% of your salary cap.

WINGERS

Patrick Kane - Chicago Blackhawks vs. NSH
DraftKings - $8,800 FanDuel(LW) - $8,300 DraftPot - 6.48 DPPG

After passing Bobby Hull for the Hawks longest point streak, he will to make it 23 straight on Tuesday. He is one of only four players(Sidney Crosby, Dany Heatley, Adam Oates) since 1992 with a streak over 21 games and has a long way to go to catch Gretzky at 51 games. Either way it is an amazing feat considering the shift to more defensive hockey in the "new" NHL. He makes a great play across the industry, especially on FanDuel(15% of salary cap).

Mike Hoffman - Ottawa Senators @ FLA
DraftKings - $5,600 FanDuel(LW) - $6,800 DraftPot - 5.78 DPPG

It  has been an incredible breakout season for Hoffman who has 26 points so far with 7 coming on the powerplay. He is 16th in the league averaging 19.8 CF/60 which has produced 71 shots and has added a nice +7 rating for the Senators. He will be looking to rebound after an off game last time out and makes a great play in any format.

Justin Abdelkader - Detroit Red Wings @ WSH
DraftKings - $5,000 FanDuel(RW) - $4,700 DraftPot(LW) - 3.75 DPPG

He comes at a great value on all sites and is red hot lately with four goals in his last three games. The offensive uptick has been a product of the increase in shots he is getting on net. He has been averaging over 3 shots on net over the last four games after only averaging close to 1.5 shots per game throughout November. It is a tough matchup on the road in Washington but also means he should be low owned.

Also Consider - Craig Smith - Nashville Predators @ CHI

DEFENSE

Roman Josi - Nashville Predators @ CHI
DraftKings - $6,500 FanDuel - $6,600 DraftPot - 3.18 DPPG

Has pushed his point total up to 20 after a goal game in a winning effort vs. the Bruins on Monday night. He continues to prove he is an elite defenseman in the NHL and can help you in many ways in the fantasy game. Half his points come on the powerplay and he adds close to 3 blocked shots a game which is an added bonus for DraftKings and DraftPot.

Shayne Gostisbehere - Philadelphia Flyers vs. NYI
DraftKings - $3,500 FanDuel - $3,600 DraftPot - 3.28 DPPG

The "Ghost" just keeps impressing in his rookie season and is now riding a three game point streak with 8 points in his first 11 games. He makes a terrific fantasy option at these value prices as he averages 15.9 CF?60 which has produced a total of 27 shots in those 11 games. He is safe in any format Tuesday.
