Welcome to the daily fantasy hockey picks article for DraftKings, FanDuel, and DraftPot for Saturday, December 12th, 2015. Tonight there are 10 games on the NHL schedule with the following teams playing on back to back nights:

• Carolina Hurricanes (Road)
• Dallas Stars (Road)
• Los Angeles Kings (Road)
• Minnesota Wild (Road)
• New York Rangers (Road) **3rd game in 4 nights**

Lets dig in to some of the matchups and find some value plays and high end targets for tonight.

GOALIES

Jhonas Enroth - Los Angeles Kings @ BUF *PROBABLE*
DraftKings - $7,300 FanDuel - $8,200 DraftPot - 6.00 DPPG

Be sure to monitor the situation following morning skate, but it looks like Enroth will get the start in Buffalo tonight as the Kings are playing back to backs. He has been a great fill in for Jonathan Quick this year going 3-1 with a .962 save percentage. The Kings are ranked 1st in the league in defense(2.07 goals against per game) while the Sabres are ranked 25th in offense(2.38 goals per game). There is no line released yet for this game but I would assume the Kings will be favorites. If Enroth doesn't start, Quick makes a solid choice.

Braden Holtby - Washington Capitlas @ TB *CONFIRMED*
DraftKings - $8,000 FanDuel - $9,600 DraftPot - 6.32 DPPG

The Capitals come in to this game as the road dog and I am not quite sure why. The Caps beat the Lightning earlier in the year with Holtby between the pipes. In that game Holtby stopped 32 of 34 shots and improved his career record vs. the Bolts to 6-2. He would be top pick if Vegas agreed with me but all signs are pointing to another solid low scoring game between division rivals.

Also Consider - Jaroslav Halak - New York Islanders @ CBJ

 

CENTER

Nicklas Backstrom - Washington Capitals @ TB
DraftKings - $6,400 FanDuel - $6,100 DraftPot - 3.13 DPPG

The Washington Capitals have played phenomenal hockey this year and sit just one point behind the Habs for 1st in the Eastern Conference and have three games in hand. The are a very balanced team who ranks 5th in offense and 4th in defense. The offense runs through Ovechkin of course but Backstrom is an instrumental piece that helps make the offense tick. He has produced a point a game (24  pts in 24 games) this season and has 44 points in 39 career games vs. the Lightning.

Ryan Johansen - Columbus Blue Jackets vs. NYI
DraftKings - $5,800 FanDuel - $7,900 DraftPot - 3.93 DPPG

He leads the Blue Jackets team in points with 21 on the season and has been much better playing on home ice. He is coming in hot and playing with confidence with three points in his last two games. In those games he has totaled 11 shots on goal and even picked up a couple blocks(DraftKings bonus).

WINGERS

Alex Ovechkin - Washington Capitals @ TB
DraftKings - $9,100 FanDuel(RW) - $10,000 DraftPot - 4.50 DPPG

If you are paying up for a forward tonight, Ovi makes a fantastic choice as he has burned the Lightning in his career. In 58 career games he has scored 38 goals and picked up 39 assists for 77 total points. While he hasn't recorded a multi point game in awhile he can explode at anytime and no better spot than Saturday night vs. the Bolts. The Caps top line and PP will be my #1 team stack of the night.

Johnny Gaudreau - Calgary Flames vs. NYR
DraftKings - $6,400 FanDuel(LW) - $8,700 DraftPot - 4.43 DPPG

When the Flames play at home, Gaudreau is a auto insert into my lineups. His splits so far this year are pretty crazy. He has played 14 games at home with 21 points & a +14 rating. He has played 14 games on the road with only 7 points & a -10 rating. The Rangers come to town Saturday night having lost 2 straight on their western Canadian road trip and are now playing a 3rd game in four nights.

Daniel Carr - Montreal Canadiens vs. OTT
DraftKings - $2,700 FanDuel(RW) - $3,200 DraftPot(LW) - .75 DPPG

This is close to, if not the best value play of the night. He made his NHL debut a week ago today and in his first three games has picked up a goal and an assist. He started out on the 4th line filling in for Smith-Pelly but was moved up to the 3rd line last game and seen 12.4 minutes of ice time. He will take shots and can score goals and if he is back on the 3rd line again tonight is a must play.

Also Consider - Mike Hoffman - Ottawa Senators @ MON

DEFENSE

Roman Josi - Nashville Predators vs. COL
DraftKings - $6,700 FanDuel - $6,700 DraftPot - 3.78 DPPG

Has been an elite fantasy option all year and sits 5th in scoring among defensemen. He has added 11 powerplay points, 81 blocked shots, and 69 shots on the season. He is safe in any format.

Ryan McDonagh - New York Rangers @ CGY
DraftKings - $4,800 FanDuel - $6,900 DraftPot - 2.48 DPPG

This is mainly a DraftKings/DraftPot pick tonight as his +/- has been hurting over at Fanduel lately. He has picked up 3 points in his last 3 games and has been blocking 2+ shots in each of those games. He isn't going to give you consistent scoring but fills the other columns making him a great cash game play.

Also Consider - Ryan Suter - Minnesota Wild @ SJ (FD Play)
