Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings- 9/27/16

In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Texas Rangers vs. Jimmy Nelson (Brewers)
Park - Globe Life Park in Arlington

The Texas Rangers are going to come in as our top stack of the night, for the second slate in a row. They did decent yesterday, though the top players got robbed of a few very hard hit balls. They will be facing off with Jimmy Nelson tonight, a young right hander that has had a rough time settling into the majors. He has been absolutely horrible against both lefties and righties, and even worse on the road. He will be in the Globe Life Park in Arlington tonight, which is one of the best parks in the league for home runs. The Rangers sport a lineup that consistent of both lefties and right handers, and is is about split evenly. Rougned Odor and Ian Desmond profile extremely well, so I would make sure I get those guys in at the very least. After that, I would sprinkle a few different guys into a few different lineups. I do expect the Rangers to be highly owned, so there is definitely a point in deploying the sneaky stack. As a note, the wind blowing in is not a big deal. It actually creates a jet stream and sends it back the other way,, which is towards right field.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Robert Stephenson (Reds)
Park - Busch Stadium

The Cardinals are going to close us off here as they come in as our 2nd favorite stack of the day. Vegas also loves them as the offense is projected to score 5.15 runs, which is the highest of the day. They are facing off with Robert Stephenson, a right handed prospect that has been absolutely horrible so far. Against both lefties and righties, Stephenson has struggled. He will continue to do so until he gets acclimated to the majors, which I doubt starts tonight. The Cardinals are definitely lacking a few of their bats, but they still have a pretty lethal lineup. Stephen Piscotty and Matt Carpenter are my favorite 2 guys, with Peralta and Moss following. The Cardinals will likely be pretty highly owned, so I would definitely consider the sneaky stack. The production is very spread out in this offense, so don't be surprised if a guy lower in the order has a big game.
