Hello football fans and welcome to week seven of CFL action here at DFSR. We a have a normal four-game slate this week with the first game starting on Thursday evening at 6:30 central time, then we have a double header on Friday and the last game is on Saturday evening. Let's get started with some picks shall we?

CURRENT VEGAS ODDS:

Calgary -5.0 @ Toronto (Total - 54.5)

Winnipeg @ Ottawa -2.5 (Total - 57.5)

Hamilton @ Edmonton -14.0 (Total - 55.0)

Saskatchewan @ BC (currently no line)

QUARTERBACK

MIKE REILLY - EDMONTON ESKIMOS - $11,000

Okay, so I'm not even going to keep repeating Hamilton's defensive statistics, because they are out of this world awful. They are ranked dead last in almost every defensive category known to man-kind, so we need to keep picking on them for DFS purposes from week to week. Calgary beat Hamilton 60-1 last week. I'll repeat it again. 60-1. Calgary was resting their starters by halftime which ruined many fantasy rosters including mine. Teams rarely get blown out two games in a row and these teams played in Hamilton three weeks ago, as the Eskimos barely squeaked by the Ti-Cats by a score of 31-28. Reilly scored 31.0 dk points in that game and last week he scored 40.2 DK points. The stud QB has 11 total TD's and he has passed for 1628 yards through five games. We will look elsewhere in cash games because he will be very popular, but he's the only place I will be looking for my cash game lineups.

TREVOR HARRIS - OTTAWA RED-BLACKS - $9600

This guy is an awesome pivot off of Mike Reilly and he comes $1400 cheaper. Winnipeg is ranked second last in passing yards allowed behind Hamilton with 344.0 per game and they've allowed 85 points in their last two games. Yikes! Harris should tear their secondary apart this week. He has already passed for a whopping 1939 yards and 12 TD's in only five games. He has a wide variety of targets to throw to and with the total for this game set at 57.5 points, there should be a ton of scoring opportunities. Harris is a great gpp play this week and if you think Reilly won't play the whole game, then he is cash game playable also.

Also Consider: Matt Nichols - Winnipeg (GPP ONLY) - $9800

RUNNING BACK

ANDREW HARRIS - WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS - $7600

I keep recommending this guy every week and he's making even yours truly look smart. It's not rocket science. It's simple logic. Don't fix what isn't broken my friends. His price is still reasonable even after last week's monster 34.4 dk points. He has a modest 240 rushing yards so far, but he has four TD's and where he really shines is in the passing game, as he has 37 catches for 298 yards. Like I said above, this game should be a shootout and I love Harris in all formats.

CAMERON MARSHALL - SASKATCHEWAN ROUGH-RIDERS - $5900

This young man has looked good so far this year as he has rushed 57 times for 316 yards and a TD, as well as hauling in 19 passes for 124 yards. He really impressed everyone last week as he went wild for 110 yards on 18 rushes. He has an awesome college pedigree as he played for Arizona State and if you can't afford Harris this week, then Marshall is a great alternative in all formats and you could also consider using him as a flex option.

Also Consider: Jerome Messam - Calgary -$7600

WIDE RECEIVER

BRANDON ZYLSTRA - EDMONTON ESKIMOS - $9300

It didn't take much time at all to decide that this guy should lead the list of WR's this week. Him and Reilly have pretty much carried the team on their backs as the Eskimos are off to a 5-0 start. Well, they're about to go 6-0 this week as possibly the worst ever CFL team through five games that I've ever witnessed comes to town. Zylstra finally scored his first TD last week, but he's been great regardless, as he now has 36 receptions for 516 yards which is an average of 103.2 yards per game. Pair this guy up with Reilly in your cash game lineups and reap the rewards.

BRAD SINOPOLI - OTTAWA RED-BLACKS - $6900

Yes I know, Greg Ellingson has better numbers than this guy. That's obvious I know, I totally get it. It's just almost impossible to fit both Ellingson and Zylstra into your lineups and feel comfortable with the rest of your roster. Sinopoli is $2100 cheaper and he should see a lot of targets this week against a very vulnerable Bombers' pass defense.  He may actually be a better PTS/$ play than Ellingson as his numbers have been pretty good. He had a great performance in his last game as he caught 9 passes for 96 yards and he now has 37 receptions for 440 yards and three TD's. At this price, sign me up in all formats.

RYAN LANKFORD - WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS - $4200

We could always use a valuable near minimum priced dude to complete our awesome lineups. It's my job to find one for you and I believe that Lankford is our man this week. The target eating machine, Weston Dressler hasn't practiced yet this week so he's very doubtful to play against Ottawa and when he went down last week, Lankford caught seven passes for 53 yards and a score. He also returns kicks and a few punts for Winnipeg and he already has 866 return yards. This is too cheap for that kind of production and if Dressler is out, which he should be, then Lankford is my favourite PTS/$ play this week in all formats.

Also Consider: Marquay McDaniel - Calgary $7500

DEFENSE

EDMONTON ESKIMOS - $5200

Do I really need to explain this one? Edmonton hosts Hamilton who lost 60-1 last week against Calgary. The Stampeders D/ST unit scored 25.0 dk points and Edmonton has a better defense than Calgary. Don't even think about rostering another unit this week. This is a no-brainer folks.
