Cleveland Indians

Admittedly, I'm riding the hot hands here today, rolling with two teams that just don't seem to know how to lose, but it goes a bit further than that in both cases, and for good measure I'll throw you a curveball at the end. Kicking things off though, we have the Cleveland Indians. The Indians have been on an absolute tear down the stretch, now winners of 15 straight. You have to travel back two weeks and through two double headers to find the last time Cleveland took an "L". It takes more than just a ridiculous win streak to be a stack worthy DFS team though, and the Tribe have what it takes. First off, the matchup is quite favorable. Baltimore comes to town for the weekend and bring left-hander Wade Miley along with them. Cleveland has been awesome against southpaws this season possessing a .341 team wOBA and a 109 wRC+ against them. Bringing his 4.91 ERA and 4.56 xFIP to the hill today, Miley stands out as a prime target for his 17.5 hr/fb% and 5.10 bb/9. I'll put the whole order, 1 through 9 in play but the keys to build around will be Jose Ramirez (.379 wOBA vs left handers) and Francisco Lindor (10 HR, .220 ISO vs Left handers).

Top stacking options: Jose Ramirez, Francisco Lindor, Austin Jackson, Edwin Encarnacion

Arizona Diamondbacks

Another team getting hot at the right time is the Arizona Diamondbacks. The DBacks are currently riding a 13 game win streak, and will look to keep the streak alive after taking Thursday off to travel home to host the Padres for a weekend series. San Diego will trot Jordan Lyles out to the hill. Lyles has been primarily a bullpen arm for the past two seasons, and will make only his second start of the season tonight in Chase Field. Lyles holds a 22% HR/FB rate and has been atrocious against left handed hitting this season with a .424 wOBA against and a 42.5% hard contact rate. That is going to spell big trouble in the tight confines of Chase Field and could mean big things for the likes of Paul Goldschmidt, who reportedly should be back in the lineup Friday night and who has a .421 wOBA and 156 wRC+ against right handed pithing. In addition the the right handed hitting Goldy, you have to love the Backs hitting from the left side of the plate as well, most of all Jake Lamb who has 22 home runs against the split. The early projections from Vegas have Arizona With the highest projected run total of the night and with good reason.

Top stacking options: David Peralta, Ketel Marte, Jake Lamb, Chris Herrmann, Paul Goldschmidt (If available)

New York Mets

Here's your contrarian play. The Mets are a long shot to put together even a four game winning streak through the remainder of the season, but here we are. So, why would we want to consider stacking the Mets today you ask? Well, I'll tell you. The Mets are playing host to the Reds this weekend and Cincinnati will open the series by sending Amir Garrett to the hill. Garrett was recently recalled from AAA. He opened the season up with the big boys, and impressed in his first three starts but things quickly went downhill from there. He was sent down in June after posting a 7.41 ERA and 27.5% HR/FB rate. Through his final five starts in the bigs earlier this season he only made it out of the fourth inning twice and allowed 25 earned runs while striking out only 16 batters. As bad as the season has gone for the Mets this year, they're actually not terrible offensively, and over the last 14 days have been a top ten offense with a .322 wOBA and 102 wRC+. Asdrubal Cabrera has led the way during that stretch with a .444 wOBA, while Travis d'Arnaud sports a .239 ISO this season against southpaws.

Top stacking options: Asdrubal Cabrera, Jose Reyes, Juan Lagares, Travis d'Arnaud
