What We Know

Nicolas Batum, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kawhi Leonard, Chris Paul, Markieff Morris, and Seth CUrry will all remain out

These are guys who have already missed some games and will remain out tonight. We know, for the most part, the fantasy implications that come along.

Hassan Whiteside has been ruled out with a knee bone bruise

Whiteside has supposedly been laboring his knee quite a bit over the last few days and there was a lot of speculation early that he would miss this one and it was spot on. He missed last game and we saw 3 guys get a big minutes boost. Kelly Olynyk and James Johnson both saw just under 30 minutes and played well. They saw so little minutes because the Pacers were missing Myles Turner, so there was almost a mutual agreement to go small. They should see bigger minutes against a Hawks squad who kind of have a center. Josh Richardson also saw 37 minutes and he seems to get slept on as a whole. All 3 guys are in play, as well as Dragic and Waiters. Take your pick.

Eric Bledsoe was sent home from practice and will not play against the Kings

The Suns and Bulls should play a 7-game series in the middle of the ocean with neither the winner or loser returning. On a serious note, it's disconcerting to see a team fall apart so quickly. Eric Bledsoe tweeted on Sunday that he wanted out of Phoenix and was then sent home this morning at shootaround. He's been held out at least 1 game and I'm not sure he sees the court as a Sun again. Folks, this is Devin Booker time. Against the fast-paced Kings, he will shoot over 20 times and is a bear kick for 30 real life points. Tyler Ulis could also see an uptick in minutes and he provided quite the spark in 2016. P.S. Devin Booker is going to shoot a lot.

Dennis Schroder and Ersan Ilyasova Ilyasova are out against the Heat

I guess this one could go two ways. If the Heat play James Johnson at the 5 and force Dewayne Dedmon out of the game, it may be a small ball affair all night. That would lead to guys like James Johnson and John Collins playing the 5. The other scenario is a regular game where Dedmon and Olynyk man most minutes. I lean towards the former, but we have no real idea with so many bodies out for the first time. Taking over for Schroeder will be a few guys. Minutes-wise, it looks like Malcolm Delaney will get 30+ minutes. Production-wise, Bazemore and Prince will be needed. They have solid match-ups against vulnerable wings and I think at least one smashes value.

Jonas Valuncuinas will miss the game with an ankle injury

Raptors big men are always getting hurt and it seems like it's a constant attempt at grasping straws for the backups. I'm not sure this year is any different. Getting hurt midway through last game, Valunciunas saw just 15 minutes. The other big men saw - Ibaka 24 - Poeltl 16 - Nogueira 16 - Siakam 8. This match-up with the Spurs is actually pretty solid, but I can't be sure anyone sees over 25 minutes. If anyone does, they will have a good game. If you can look into the crystal ball and see who that is, take a shot in tournaments and get a 1% center facing Pau Gasol defense. Other than that, Lowry and DeRozan may see 2 or 3 shots more per game over a long haul. Against a slow-paced Spurs team, there isn't much to see.

What We're Waiting to Know

Ryan Anderson is questionable to play against the Grizzlies

The problem here is we aren't very interested in the replacements. Especially against the Memphis Grizzlies interior. If Anderson does miss, we will see Nene Hilario and Luc Mbah A Moute grab the minutes. Neither are fantasy relevant and even if they were, this ain't the match-up. If you feel the need to get exposure to the Rockets, go with a guard.

Wall is a lock and load. This is one of the best match-ups possible for him, facing off with the Nuggets. The game is sitting at a 223 over/under and is expected to be very close. Wall strives on the open floor and this game should give him more than enough opportunity. He's a near lock for 10 assists every time he takes the floor and I think he ends up closer to 20 than 10 tonight. Maybe that's bold, maybe not. He'll be defended by Jamal Murray and Emmanuel Mudiay, who is just not even close to fit for the job. Murray isn't even a true PG. Wall will dominate tonight as long as this game stays competitive. He'll stay locked into 100% of my lineups.
