Daily Fantasy Football Injury Updates and Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 12 - 11/26/17

Welcome back daily fantasy football fans. I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving and enjoyed the triple-header but it's now time to dip out feet into the Sunday slate. Before getting into my top stacks for GPP formats this week, let's take a look at some of the injury situations to monitor as lineup lock approaches.

  • Devonta Freeman - Ruled out for Week 12 vs. the Buccaneers with a concussion. This will give full run of the backfield to Tevin Coleman who once again makes a nice value play.
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster - Ruled out(hamstring) against the Packers in a terrific matchup. This gives a boost in value to Martavis Bryant who should see extra targets this week.
  • Greg Olsen - Panthers have activated Greg Olsen with full expectation he will play on Sunday.
  • Jimmy Graham - Was listed as Did Not Practice on both Wednesday and Thursday and is considered questionable for Week 12. Stay tuned for his Friday and gameday status.
  • Ty Montgomery - Has not practiced all week for the Packers and is questionable for Sunday but more likely doubtful giving Jamaal Williams added value in the backfield once again.
  • Jacoby Brissett - Has been dealing with a concussion but was cleared and is not listed on the Colts final injury report.
  • Leonard Fournette - Still dealing with some pain with his ankle but is not listed on the injury report. Good to go as a RB1 this week and it's positive that he played through the pain last week and rushed 28 times for 111 yards.
  • Jay Cutler - Has been ruled out for Week 12 with a concussion. Matt Moore will get the start.
  • Robert Woods - After suffering a shoulder injury last week vs. the Vikings, Woods will miss this week and possibly another week or two. I look for more targets to go Sammy Watkins and Cooper Kupp's way moving forward.
  • Rob Gronkowski - Confirmed he will be active after dealing with an illness earlier in the week. Fire him up as a TE1 vs. the Dolphins.
  • Julio Jones - Was dealing with multiple injuries this week(ankle, knee) but is not listed on the final Falcons injury report. This is great news as he gets an elite matchup. See below.
  • Rishard Matthews - Late addition to the Titans injury report as he did not practice on Friday with a hamstring injury. He is listed as questionable and if he is ruled out, makes Corey Davis an excellent value play.
  • Kelvin Benjamin, Jordan Matthews, Charles Clay - The Bills will be in a tough spot this week in the passing game as all three players are listed as questionable on Friday. This should give extra run for LeSean McCoy who is a top running back this week the Chiefs.

Atlanta Falcons

Quarterback - Matt Ryan
Primary Target - Julio Jones
Secondary Target - Mohamed Sanu

Hello darkness, my old friend. It's been a tough year for those(me included) who have tried stacking 2016 MVP, Matt Ryan, in daily fantasy. After leading the highest scoring offense in football last season with an average of 309 passing yards per game, Ryan has averaged just 256 this season with only two 300+ yard games. Nevertheless, I will be going back to the well once again as he and the Falcons get an elite matchup vs. the Buccaneers who have allowed the second-most yards per game through the air(276.3), the eighth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, and the most fantasy points per game to wideouts. Using the Player Lab, I used a basic set of filters(High Vegas O/U & Poor Defense vs. the Pass) and it spit out just one quarterback this week.

Pair Ryan with Julio Jones who has been targeted an average of 10 times over the last three weeks and is due(for lack of better term) for his second or maybe third touchdown of the season. He was once again limited at practice this week but that is nothing new for Jones who has played through injuries all season. If his status scares you at all, don't be afraid to pair Ryan with Mohamed Sanu who may not be getting the bulk of the targets overall but has caught six of his eight redzone targets this season for a team-high four touchdowns and has scored in three of his last four games.

Seatle Seahawks

Quarterback - Russell Wilson
Primary Targets - Doug Baldwin, Jimmy Graham
Secondary Target - Paul Richardson

As much as I would love to see Doug eat his hat, as he promised in his main picks article, I have to agree that Russell Wilson will be the chalk this week. That shouldn't scare you away, however, as he gets an elite fantasy matchup vs. the 49ers who not only allow the ninth-most passing yards per game(246.3) but they also give up the fourth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and ninth-most to wideouts. We all know Wilson is also an elite rusher and trails only Cam Newton in yards with 376(three 20+ rushes and two TD's as well) and that is even better news as the 49ers are tied for allowing the most rushing touchdowns(3) to QB's as well. Looking again at the Player Lab, I was looking for a quarterback in a high-paced game and found it with Wilson who is also projected for 37 pass attempts. This is, by no mean, a crazy high projection as he has attempted 37 or more in five of his last six games and seven of his 10 games this season. The other interesting thing I found in the lab was that the Seahawks rely on passing for 88% of their touchdowns and 72% of their total yards which sits among the league-leaders on the slate.

My top option to pair with Wilson, if he is active, is Jimmy Graham who has been on a tear lately with touchdowns in five of his last six games including two multi-touchdown games. He has also got a ton of targets with eight or more in four of those six games with double-digit targets in two of them. Doug Baldwin is also on my radar as he has scored in three of his last five games and leads the team with 46 targets since their Week 6 bye. If Jimmy Graham is ruled out, I will also give some consideration to Paul Richardson who should see a ton of coverage from Dontae Johnson who ranks out at 104 of 117 qualified cornerbacks on PFF.
