GOALIE

Antti RaantaAntti Raanta FD - $7500 DK - $8200
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 17.73 DK - 4.43

He was out with a lower-body injury last week but was back practicing on Friday and is expected to be back between the pipes tonight. That is great news as he not only gets a terrific matchup vs. the Canucks who are 5-13 since the start of February and rank 23rd in road offense, but he has also been playing great lately. He has won three straight starts allowing just four total goals and is 7-1-1 over his last 10 games with a whopping .944 save % and two shutouts. Fire him up in all formats.

CENTERS

Mathew BarzalMathew Barzal FD - $6200 DK - $6300
Opponent - CGY
Proj Pts FD - 12.76 DK - 3.61

While I normally play cash games, today I will be concentrating solely on GPP lineups and I love taking the discount off the top options at center and rolling with Barzal. He leads all rookies with 69 points on the season which also places him in a tie for 15th overall. He doesn't provide a safe floor as the shot volume is not in the same area as others but the upside is huge as he already has 15 multi-point efforts and has tallied three five-point games. Today's matchup is also better than it appears as the Flames rank down in 26th when looking at home defense allowing 3.1 goals per game.

Stack with: Jordan Eberle, Andrew Ladd

Riley NashRiley Nash FD - $5600 DK - $5900
Opponent - CHI
Proj Pts FD - 10.44 DK - 2.98

If yo uare playing the all-day slate today, it will be hard to avoid Riley Nash despite the rising price. The Bruins are playing on a back to back and third game in four days but so are the Blackhawks and the Bruins have so much more to play for down the stretch. Nash continues to skate on the top line with Marchand and Pastrnak and comes in with points in three straight games and has 10 points over his last 10 games. Same as Barzal, he doesn't provide much shot volume but gives us enough upside at a discount to consider in all formats today.

Stack with: Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak

Also Consider: Evgeni Malkin(PIT)

WINGERS

Johnny GaudreauJohnny Gaudreau FD - $7700 DK - $7100
Opponent - NYI
Proj Pts FD - 13.39 DK - 3.89

Johnny Hockey is my top player overall on this small four-game slate(three-game if not counting the early BOS/CHI matchup). He isn't scoring as much this season but has already set a career-high with 57 assists and is one point away from tieing his career-high in points as he sits with 77 on the season. Despite some juicy matchups lately(OTT & BUF last two), he has been heating up with points in three straight and now gets another elite matchup vs. the Islanders who have dropped eight straight games and rank dead last in defense allowing 3.53 goals per game. All things considered, he is an elite play in all formats.

Stack with: Micheal Ferland, Sean Monahan

Conor ShearyConor Sheary FD - $4600 DK - $4800
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 7.37 DK - 2.16

We are definitely going to need some value on this slate so why not get some exposure to Sid the Kid on the Penguins top line. He has regressed after a 53-point season last year and broke out of a slump last game with two goals against the Flyers and while the shot volume is way down, he has tallied 10 shots over his last three games. At this point, it is not guaranteed he will be back on the top line as the Penguins have shuffled the deck almost every game so be sure to check those lines prior to lock. Another option if he is not on the top line is Jake Guentzel or even Carl Hagelin who has been skating with Malkin on line two.

Stack with: Jake Guentzel, Sidney Crosby

Also Consider: Daniel Sedin(VAN), Brendan Perlini(ARI)

DEFENSEMEN

Ryan PulockRyan Pulock FD - $3800 DK - $4700
Opponent - CGY
Proj Pts FD - 10.86 DK - 3.17

In case you haven't noticed this season, I love going double value with my defense strategy especially on these small slates where we have multiple options at the top of the forward list. Enter Ryan Pulock who I have discussed a lot in the second half of the season. He doesn't provide us a ton of upside with just 21 points on the season but does offer some safety and over his last 10 games, has 18 blocks and 34 shots for an average of 3.3 DraftKings/11.1 FanDuel points per game. The price is going up fast on DraftKings but he still has near elite PTS/$ value on FanDuel under $4K.

Travis HamonicTravis Hamonic FD - $3600 DK - $3300
Opponent - NYI
Proj Pts FD - 6.83 DK - 1.99

If you are looking to go even cheaper have a close look at Travis Hamonic today. Like Pulock, he also fits the mold of a low ceiling player but on a small slate I will consider him to help fit in some high-dollar players with big upside. He does have three points over his last 10 games but what we are really looking are secondary stats and in those 10 games he has provided a decent balance of shots(20) and blocks(20) giving him a safe floor for the price.

Also Consider: Stephen Johns(DAL) as another punt play

  1. Kuemper starting for Coyotes not Raanta. Still GPP viable
