We get a huge 12-game slate on Tuesday night but at the goalie position, one player stands out as the clear #1 option. Since losing five of his first six games to start the season, Bishop has been arguably the top goalie in the league winning 10 of 13 games with an elite .944 save % while facing an average of 32.4 shots per game. It gets better as the Stars open as -220 home favorites against a Devils team that has lost five straight and eight of their last 10 while scoring just 2.4 goals per game and rank 29th in road offense on the season. Bishop tops the raw points projections tonight is my top goalie in all formats.
With Bishop likely taking on a lot of ownership tonight, it opens up some pivots and there are plenty on this slate. One game I am focusing on is the Flames and Coyotes as it is one of just four games with a 5.5 total. Despite the Flames hot streak(five straight wins), the Coyotes and their #1 overall defense open as -140 home favorites as the Flames are on a back to back on the road and third game in four nights. Raanta is projected to start and despite losing back to back starts, he has been solid in the backup role posting a .926 save % and the Flames have also been much worse offensively on the road(1.8 goals per game) than on home ice(3.4 goals per game). Raanta can be considered in all formats but his best value comes on Fanduel where is our #1 PTS/$ play.
Also Consider: Laurent Broissoit(WPG) as a value GPP play on FanDuel facing the Red Wings who have lost 11 straight games and rank dead last on offense
Despite the Lightning playing on a back to back and third in four nights, the battle of Florida is most definitely on my radar. Let's start with Steven Stamkos who has been limited to 25 games this season but has really started to heat up with 11 points in his last 10 games with 31 shots and seven blocks for 14.3 DK/19.9 FD points per game. The decision is a little closer on FanDuel where the price is in the $8K range but Stammer is an absolute bargain on DraftKings under $7K and in play in all formats.
The Panthers have been better lately and like the Bolts are a Top 5 offense overall led but their top-line center, Aleksander Barkov. Like Stamkos, he has 11 points over his last 10 games and also provides the high floor with a combined 41 shots/blocks over the last 10 games for an average of 14.1 DK/ FD points per game.
I am fine with either center in cash games and love game stacking this one in GPP's with exposure to both top-line centers.
Stack Stamkos with: Nikita Kucherov, Ondrej Palat
Stack Barkov with: Jonathan Huberdeau, Evgenii Dadonov
Dylan Larkin(DET) in all formats in the mid $6K range on both sites. He has started to heat up with points in three straight and 4+ shots on goal in four straight.
Ryan Getzlaf(ANH) as another mid-tier value who has been red-hot with 12 points and a combined 35 shot/blocks over the last 10 games
Filip Forsberg FD - $7200 DK - $7400
Opponent - SJ
Proj Pts FD - 16.16 DK - 12.51
Calle Jarnkrok FD - $4300 DK - $4900
Opponent - SJ
Proj Pts FD - 11.22 DK - 8.68
It has been a disappointing start to the season for the Preds who sit near the bottom of the Western Conference standings but the good news is that they are in a great spot tonight. The are -175 home favorites going up against the Sharks who have lost four straight while being outscored 20-6 in the process.
For the Preds, it starts with the top line and their best forward, Filip Forsberg, who has seen a drop off in points lately but I am not worried as the shot volume remains. He enters tonight with 36 shots in his last 10 games and is averaging 12.7 shots/60 and 22.5 shot attempts/60 on the season. Joining him on the top line is Calle Jarnkrok who provides us some nice value to tie the lineup together. In his 7th season, he is enjoying his best start yet and is on pace for career-highs across the board. He comes into tonight with points in six of his last eight games with 23 shots on goal. Stack these two together for a high floor/high upside stack in all formats.
Stack with: Ryan Johansen
Brendan Gallagher FD - $7500 DK - $6200
Opponent - PIT
Proj Pts FD - 16.39 DK - 13.22
Joel Armia FD - $4400 DK - $4900
Opponent - PIT
Proj Pts FD - 13.7 DK - 11.06
The Canadiens are another team I will be targeting, especially in cash games as they have a couple of players who provide sky-high floors on a very consistent basis. It starts with Brendan Gallagher who is averaging a whopping 4.6 shots/blocks on the season and comes in with seven points in his last 10 games. Joel Armia comes at a nice discount under $5K on both sites and has really been trending as he is averaging 3.7 shots/blocks on the season but 4.2 per game over his last 10 games. Take your pick depending on how salary you have to allocate and I don't even mind stacking them together in GPP formats to get exposure to both top lines and powerplay units for the Habs 11th ranked offense.
Stack Gallagher with: Phillip Danault, Tomas Tatar
Stack Armia with: Max Domi, Artturi Lehkonen
Ryan Ellis FD - $4800 DK - $5700
Opponent - SJ
Proj Pts FD - 13.8 DK - 10.54
Mattias Ekholm FD - $4500 DK - $5000
Opponent - SJ
Proj Pts FD - 13.06 DK - 9.99
I will be going back to the Predators on defense tonight as they have three tremendous fantasy options at three different price points. If you have the salary, Roman Josi is an elite play but you can also go another direction without giving up a whole lot of floor in cash games. Ellis and Ekholm aren't likely to win you a GPP very often as they have just nine combined points over the last 10 games but both have a combined 50 shots/blocks in that time and now get a plus matchup against the Sharks. Both are in play in all formats.
Calvin De Haan FD - $3700 DK - $3900
Opponent - VEG
Proj Pts FD - 10.71 DK - 8.54
The price is starting to come up on De Haan and I am a little surprised it is taking this long. He isn't a player we are going to want in GPP as he has just six points on the season but we cannot ignore the PTS/$ value he has been providing for our cash games lately. Over his last 10 games, he has a combined 46 shots blocks for an average of 9.5 DK/8.9 FD points per game which is impressive for a player who comes in under $4K on both sites. Lock him and his salary relief into your cash game lineups.
Also Consider: Victor Hedman(TB) as the Bolts are in a smash spot vs. the Panthers or Miro Heiskanen(DAL) as a mid-range option who is in play in all formats
