Point Guard

Ricky RubioRicky Rubio FD - $5100 DK - $6200
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 29.42 DK - 29.92

The Timberwolves will be without Malik Beasley for 11 games because of a suspension and are already without DeAngelo Russell because of injury. That’s leaving them very thin in the backcourt and should give quite a few minutes to Rubio and some others. Last game, an overtime loss to the Bulls, saw Rubio play 28 minutes in regulation and finish with nine points and 10 assists. The minutes and usage are set to tick up here without Beasley in the starting lineup. The price on FanDuel is just too cheap and he draws a fantastic matchup against the Wizards.

Théo MaledonThéo Maledon FD - $4300 DK - $4900
Opponent - DEN
Proj Pts FD - 24.04 DK - 24.78

Maledon has been playing big minutes over the short-term with George Hill and Hamidou Diallo both out. That’s led to 33+ minutes in each of the last four games and his game on Friday against the Hawks was one of his best yet. He scored 13 points and handed out 12 assists in the win over Atlanta. The dimes were a bit of an outlier, but he’s also not seeing much movement on the price here and his minutes appear fairly safe.

Shooting Guard

Bradley BealBradley Beal FD - $9600 DK - $9200
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 52.82 DK - 54

This is definitely going to be the game to stack in cash. It’s two of the worst six defenses in basketball with two of the top-six paces. That’s a matchup made in fantasy heaven and this game should see quite a bit of ownership. Beal has as high a minute's floor as anyone in basketball and has the Wiz surging winning six of their last seven games. They’ll look to keep it going here against the lowly Timberwolves. He’s having another fantastic statistical season with 33 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game. The price has actually come down a little on both sites and he’s a total steal on DraftKings at $9200.

Anthony EdwardsAnthony Edwards FD - $6000 DK - $6300
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 33.58 DK - 35.26

From a fantasy perspective, Anthony Edwards is likely the biggest beneficiary of the Malik Beasley suspension. He’s set to run a ton of minutes and the usage could be about the highest on the team for the foreseeable future. He’s coming off a 20-shot game against the Bulls and is averaging more than 15 shots per game over the month of February. He’s picked up the three-point shooting of late too with 23 attempts total in the last three games and knocking them down at close to a 40% clip. The Wizards are playing better of late but still let it up on defense. Stack the T-Wolves backcourt in this matchup.

Small Forward

Michael Porter Jr.Michael Porter Jr. FD - $6200 DK - $6500
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 33.49 DK - 33.58

The Nuggets are still going to be without both Paul Millsap and JaMychal Green on Saturday leaving almost all of the wing and power forward minutes to Porter Jr. He’s played 40 and 41 minutes respectively over the last two games with a 15 point and 10 rebound average during that stretch. The shot volume isn’t quite there considering the minutes, but the price is also stuck in the middle tier. There’s still upside here considering his scoring prowess if he can get going and he’s getting on the boards enough to keep the floor high at these prices.

Rui HachimuraRui Hachimura FD - $5800 DK - $5800
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 31.14 DK - 31.75

He takes a definitive backseat to Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook when it comes to scoring, and even rebounding sometimes, but this is still such a smash spot for the Wizards. Rui is playing huge minutes in the frontcourt which is almost enough to make him a solid cash game consideration at these prices. He even got up 16 shots last game which put him in line with the usage monsters he shares the court with. He’s played an average of 37 minutes per game over the last four with an average of 16 points and seven boards in that stretch.

Power Forward

Jarred VanderbiltJarred Vanderbilt FD - $4400 DK - $4100
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 30.64 DK - 29.74

Do you trust the 29 minutes in regulation last game? Me neither really, but this is a pretty thin position and Vanderbilt is coming cheap. On a per minutes basis, he is a solid performer as evidenced by the 16 point, six rebound, four steal line from last game. And per 36 minutes he’s right around double-double which can be enticing in the low $4K range at power forward. If he’s in the starting lineup again I think I’ll take the risk considering the matchup is so great.

Look, this position is pretty garbage especially on FanDuel. With big money going other places I don’t think you want to pay up for the Julius Randle’s or Domantas Sabonis’s of the world. It’s a rough spot for sure and we’ll probably have to hope for some punt-type value cropping up throughout the day. You can consider Mike Scott (FD $3500 DK $3000) at the minimums if he’s in the starting lineup with Tobias Harris out. But when you share the court with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, some of those periphery stats are tough to come by.

Center

Nikola JokicNikola Jokic FD - $10900 DK - $10900
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 59.71 DK - 61.88

It might be tough to fit all of the big money plays in on this slate, but man will Jokic be a tough fade. He’s been playing monster minutes with the Nuggets so tin because of injury. And it’s crazy to say, but the price is still kind of in check because he’s had some weird games in the short term. He piled on a 32 shot game against Portland but barely had any assists or rebounds. Then against the Wizards, the scoring wasn’t there but he had 11 rebounds and seven assists. he really just hasn’t put it all together fantasy-wise over the last couple of weeks. But that could change against OKC in this one. Even in this price tier, he’s still a value.

DeAndre JordanDeAndre Jordan FD - $5400 DK - $5700
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 35.74 DK - 36.34

If Jeff Green is out again and Jordan stays in the starting lineup then I think you can run him in cash. He’s averaging around 30 minutes a game over the last three as a starter with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game in that stretch. The way the Nets use him means he should be able to maintain double-double floor numbers and he’s been able to pitch in on the defensive end as well. He’s still a good deal if running with the starters.
