Point Guard

Damian Lillard FD - $9900 DK - $10300

We wrote up Lillard yesterday and he was a pretty popular cash-game option on FanDuel. That looks like it should be the case again on Sunday with the Trailblazers running on the back-to-back again against the Timberwolves. On Saturday, they put 125 points in the win and we could be looking at a similar total considering the Minnesota defense remains one of the worst in the league. Lillard dropped 25 points and 10 assists though did struggle from the field some shooting just 7-19 and 3-10 from three. With CJ McCollum out one more game, it should be Dame time once again.

Tomas Satoransky FD - $3500 DK - $3200
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 25.63 DK - 26.6

It was announced on Saturday night that Satoransky would take over the starting duties at point guard for the Bulls, sending Coby White to the bench. It’s a great time to buy low on the guard who is coming at near-minimum prices on both sites. Point guard is a bit loaded which could make the decision on FanDuel a little tougher, but on DraftKings Satoransky is a clear cash game option considering the new opportunity and the very low price tag.

Kyle Lowry (FD 8400 DK 8600) is once again in play with the Raptors remaining very shorthanded.

Shooting Guard

Paul George FD - $7800 DK - $8100
Opponent - NO
Proj Pts FD - 47.74 DK - 50.06

Paul George is still something of a bargain on both sites and the Clippers have shown that in close games he’ll run major minutes. Considering the nature of this team, they really do need his offense these days. George is having an excellent statistical season, shooting 45% from three on almost eight attempts per game and averaging 24 points, six rebounds, and five assists. After starting out ok to begin the season, the Pelicans have dropped to the third-worst defense in the league this season. They aren’t running a fast pace, but the issues on the defensive end are real. There’s a reason this game has the highest total of the day.

Anthony Edwards FD - $6500 DK - $7000
Opponent - POR
Proj Pts FD - 33.36 DK - 34.52

Edwards was a popular cash game option on Saturday in this same matchup and could be that way again on Sunday. He ran into some foul trouble which did buzz off some of his minutes against Portland, but he still managed to finish with 21 points and eight rebounds. He put up the second-most shots on the team at 18 and the usage should remain higher in this current iteration of the Timberwolves. The price on both sites is in the value range, though he’s a better deal on FanDuel.

Strongly consider Victor Oladipo (FD 7700 DK 8400) who could see a ton of usage and run without John Wall and Eric Gordon.

Small Forward

Kawhi Leonard FD - $9300 DK - $9000
Opponent - NO
Proj Pts FD - 50.34 DK - 50.65

Stacking the two Clippers’ superstars could be the cash game move on Sunday for this evening slate. Kawhi, like PG, will run 36-37 minutes if the game remains close, from a Vegas perspective, that at least appears the case at the outset against the Pelicans. He’s put up nearly identical numbers over the last three seasons with 27 points, five assists, and six rebounds this season. The floor remains high enough considering his fantasy profile at these prices and, as stated with George, this matchup against New Orleans is a good one.

Kevin Porter Jr. FD - $6000 DK - $5000
Opponent - BOS
Proj Pts FD - 45.26 DK - 44.19

Kevin Porter came over to the Rockets as a reclamation project and spent some time in the G-League. Houston promoted him two games ago and it’s going very, very well so far. He entered the starting lineup last game and through two is averaging 33 minutes a game with 20 points, nine assists, and four rebounds. He played point guard for the Rockets last game and has a ton of ball-handling duties in this offense. Oladipo is back this game, but Porter’s price really hasn’t fully adjusted for this new role.

Power Forward

Thaddeus Young FD - $6800 DK - $5700
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 36.06 DK - 35.43

Like Tomas Satoransky, it was announced that Thad Young would also be joining the Bulls’ starting lineup on Sunday, replacing Wendell Carter. Young looks like he’ll play the small-ball five in this scenario. His per-30 minute stats have him sitting at about 15 points and seven assists per game and you’d think the run would be right in that range when joining the starters. Unlike Satoransky, Young isn’t exactly coming cheap these days, making this is a little bit of a closer decision. But power forward remains an issue on FanDuel.

John Collins FD - $5900 DK - $6400
Opponent - CLE
Proj Pts FD - 33.49 DK - 33.72

The minutes for Collins have been weird over the last four games though there’s some context to it with some blowouts and foul trouble in there. The fouls, in particular, were the problem in the last three. I think the plan is to still play him up-and-over 30 minutes in ideal situations and that would make him a total bargain on FanDuel especially where the price is starting to bottom out. Capela is taking up a lot of the rebounding duties right now, but Collins is still a bargain at these prices.

Center

Kelly Olynyk FD - $4500 DK - $6100
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 30.35 DK - 30.94

Bam Adebayo remains out at least another game which should leave a lot of minutes for Olynyk once again. He’s played 33 or more in each of the last three games with Bam out, averaging 16 points and nine rebounds with some defensive stats thrown in there as well. The price is climbing but not in line with the opportunity. He’s an easy play on FanDuel especially.

Clint Capela FD - $8300 DK - $7700
Opponent - CLE
Proj Pts FD - 44.92 DK - 44.36

Capela was out cash game center write-up for yesterday, especially on DraftKings and he delivered. Against Sacramento, he put up a whopping 24 points and 14 rebounds in just 27 minutes. This isn’t as good a matchup against the Cavs because of the pace and the slightly better defense. But the DraftKings price remains too low.
