Point Guard

Chris PaulChris Paul FD - $8500 DK - $7400
Opponent - DEN
Proj Pts FD - 39.59 DK - 40.04

Paul remains just a bit too cheap for what he’s doing in this series and the Nuggets have just no answer for the veteran point guard. He’s looking fully healthy from the shoulder issue that cropped up in the first round and was second in the team in shots in Game 3. The Suns are going to look to close this thing out and Paul is coming off a full stat line game with 27 points, eight assists and six rebounds. He’s dominated this series and the Nuggets’ backcourt has no defensive answers for him so far. That’s unlikely to change in what could be the final game in the series.

Mike James (FD $4300 DK $3900) is coming cheap and is still getting some minutes for the Nets.

Shooting Guard

Devin BookerDevin Booker FD - $7900 DK - $8100
Opponent - DEN
Proj Pts FD - 47.51 DK - 49.7

It’s probably a little too much to pay for Booker on this slate, but the shooting guard position on this slate is very thin to begin with. His usage rate hasn’t been all that great this series though he did dial it up some in Game 3 scoring 28 on 11-23 shooting. Again, I’m not in love with this play, but the position is a moderate problem on FanDuel. You are overpaying some, but you might have to based on the player pool.

Bruce BrownBruce Brown FD - $5600 DK - $4700
Opponent - MIL
Proj Pts FD - 29.84 DK - 29.44

Bruce Brown was amazing in Game 3 until the very end when he missed the Nets' last two shots and they went home with the loss. But from a fantasy perspective, it was everything you could ask for. He hit floater after floater and finished with 16 points on 8-17 shooting and added team-high 11 rebounds as well. He’s likely to be a popular option on this slate considering the mid-tier pricing.

Small Forward

Khris MiddletonKhris Middleton FD - $8200 DK - $7600
Opponent - BKN
Proj Pts FD - 41.68 DK - 43.43

Middleton broke out of it in a big way in Game 3 and was the primary reason the Bucks were able to get the win in a total slog of a game. He dropped 35 points on 12-25 shooting and also grabbed 15 rebounds as well. It was a dominant performance and one Milwaukee sorely needed to keep themselves in this series. It’s likely we see similar usage in Game 4 especially in the mid-range for Middleton which is where he tried to operate for much of the contest.

Joe HarrisJoe Harris FD - $4500 DK - $5500
Opponent - MIL
Proj Pts FD - 25.92 DK - 27.56

Harris struggled in Game 3 which is a complete understatement. He went 1-11 from the field and missed some very easy looks along the way. But the price is pretty cheap on this slate and he did play 37 minutes. The Nets aren’t going to dial him back in terms of run at all and the workload should be there. Harris was about the best shooter in the league this season and isn’t going to run bad for long. We are buying a bit low on him because of the recent performance. Let’s take advantage.

Power Forward

Giannis AntetokounmpoGiannis Antetokounmpo FD - $10700 DK - $10800
Opponent - BKN
Proj Pts FD - 65.35 DK - 67.44

Game 3 was a total rock fight between the Nets and Bucks, but from a fantasy perspective Giannis did almost everything you’d want to see. He finished with 33 points and 14 rebounds while taking more than 30 shots. The two assists and zero defensive stats are total outliers and this guy still has a massive floor in a game the Bucks will likely run him for major minutes again. It’s definitely worth spending up to the full price on him in this matchup and it’s encouraging how aggressive he was early in the game. If that’s the case again, the Nets will still struggle with him on the defensive end.

Blake GriffinBlake Griffin FD - $5200 DK - $5100
Opponent - MIL
Proj Pts FD - 28.81 DK - 29.9

At his price point you probably have to still run Griffin out there in cash games. Foul trouble did him in in Game 3 and he ended up fouling out in just 30 minutes. That’s always the risk when the primary defensive assignment is Giannis and Blake could be in for some more trouble again in this game. But the Nets clearly want to run him major minutes and he’s been mostly effective in this series. I think we can take the risk with the understanding that there might not be tremendous upside.

Center

Brook LopezBrook Lopez FD - $6100 DK - $4400
Opponent - BKN
Proj Pts FD - 28.11 DK - 27.33

Game 3 was a good news/ bad news game for Brook Lopez. On the one hand, he was able to use his size against a smaller Nets’ front court and get on the glass to the tune of 11 rebounds. But the scoring was a real problem, going only 1-7 from the field and scoring just three points. While he’s not going to be tremendously high usage in this offense, that is still an outlier in terms of the scoring output. I think, considering the center options and that the Nuggets might be drawing dead, that we can play Lopez in cash.

Nikola Jokic (FD $11500 DK $10600) has obviously been amazing and there’s a chance he plays the whole game here with the Nuggets needing to win. I’m just a little worried this series is totally over and the game gets away from them.
