Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 13

The 2021 NFL season is now in full swing and the DFSR team has covered with content all week long. Earlier in the week, we covered our top cash game plays and now it's time to look at some of the top stacks for GPP formats.

Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below.

    Running Back/Defense Stack

Alexander MattisonAlexander Mattison FD 8700 DK 7600

    Proj Points FD - 20.24 DK - 22.59

    MINMIN FD 4600 DK 3200
    Opponent DET
    Proj Points FD - 7.92 DK - 7.92

I never like writing up my favorite team and not because I am biased. It's more due to the fact they seem to play up or down to their opponents and have been very inconsistent, hence a 5-6 record. The reason this stack shows up at #1 for me this week is that it can be used in all formats as the Vikings are in a great spot here checking all the boxes. They are pretty much in a must-win situation sitting as the 7-seed and no better matchup than against the winless Lions who will also be without their best player, D'Andre Swift.

With Dalvin Cook ruled out, Alexander Mattison will once again take on the lead role in the backfield and he has a track record in this situation. His last three starts with Cook out(Week 5, week 3, & week 16 2020), he has averaged over 150 yards from scrimmage and that includes heavy involvement in the pass game. I project him getting 18-20 touches for a floor with upside of 25+. He is likely a little lower owned on FanDuel where he is the 3rd most expensive option at the position(6th on DK).

I like stacking the defense with Mattison in this matchup, especially with Swift and his late game fantasy explosions out of the equation. The Vikings D has actually provided a decent floor all season as they have tallied multiple sacks in every game with at least one interception in six of their last seven games. I will have exposure to this stack in all formats this week.

    Projected Low Owned Leverage Stack

Taylor HeinickeTaylor Heinicke FD 7100 DK 5600
    Opponent LV
    Proj Points FD - 20.31 DK - 21.21

Terry McLaurinTerry McLaurin FD 7200 DK 7400
    Opponent LV
    Proj Points FD - 15.01 DK - 18.31

If you are one to look at ownership projections and try and make some leverage pivots, this one is for you. I use FanShareSports for my ownership research and Derek Carr on the other side of this game leads all players in tags this week and it makes sense as Washington's pass defense is terrible and he is very cheap. In these situations, I like to try and find a player in the same price range with similar upside but lower ownership. Enter Taylor Heinicke who doesn't get as good a matchup but still decent as the Raiders rank 17th in DVOA vs the pass.

I get much more excited about Terry McLaurin who could possibly come in the sub 5% range in terms of ownership as he is sandwiched in the same range as Kupp, Jefferson, Allen, and others. There is plenty of risk as he hasn't been the most consistent as of late and the Raiders are 6th in fantasy points to wideouts but the upside at low ownership will ensure I have a few variations of this stack in big GPP contests.
