One thing is clear on these small playoff slates and that is the importance of locking in and building around the consistent raw points plays. Tonight, that is Luka who enters game six averaging 32 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists in the series and has tallied at least 50 DK points in each game, and has a 70-point upside. There should easily be enough value to load up on Luka in all formats.
The mystery in Miami right now is the number of Heat players that continue to be listed on the injury report despite being healthy. Max Strus is one of them and of all the guards who have stepped in with Lowry out, he has seen the most time on the floor playing at least 27 minutes in all five games. Hitting value has been hard to come by but the good news is that he is coming off his best game in the playoffs and is better than his 39.5% shooting % this series(career 45% shooter).
The price has finally started to go up on Butler who is having a very solid playoff run for the Heat averaging 27 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists over nine games. That has translated to a very high floor for fantasy as he has topped 45 DK points in seven of those nine games and also flashed big upside topping 60 three times. Butler will look to lead the Heat to a series victory on the road tonight and he is easily one of our top plays in all formats.
Jae Crowder FD - $5100 DK - $5400
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 26.6 DK - 28.46
There is a path to stacking Butler and Luka tonight but it is not for the faint of heart and includes taking some risks but I mean, isn't that why we are playing DFS in the first place? Crowder is coming off his first real dud of the playoffs since game one against the Pelicans and at his price, has been consistent in between averaging just over 26 DK points per game which is a solid floor for his price and he has also topped 30 fantasy points twice in his last four games in this series. That is more than enough for me to have exposure in all formats.
Dorian Finney-Smith FD - $5200 DK - $5500
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 27.63 DK - 29.81
The playoffs started out great for Finney-Smith who tallied 23 or more DK points in each of the Mavs six games against the Jazz. He has been anything but consistent in the second round as we have seen his rock-bottom floor but also some huge upside like he displayed in game four. I would honestly just like to see something somewhere in the middle but either way, on this small slate, I will be taking some risk with DFS as the Mavs look to force a game seven.
