De'Aaron Fox FD - $8900 DK - $8700
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 42.51 DK - 43.53
This slate is a bit on the light side when looking at elite guards, especially with Ja Morant questionable. This leads us to a more balanced build at the position and it starts with Fox who has emerged from his slump in a big way. Over the last 12 games dating back to mid-December, Fox has averaged 27.7 points and 6.9 rebounds for nearly 45 fantasy points a game. Volume and usage is not an issue either as he comes into tonight having taken 20 or more shots in three straight and five of his last six games. At sub $9K prices on both sites in a plus matchup against the Magic, Fox is my top guard and in play in all formats.
Dennis Schröder FD - $5800 DK - $5700
Opponent - DEN
Proj Pts FD - 26.6 DK - 29.26
The Lakers are playing a bit short-handed right now with both Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker out for a couple of weeks and Anthony Davis still out. This has obviously led to some monster usage from LeBron but he hasn't been the only one benefiting as Schroder has seen a big increase in playing time and usage playing 32+ minutes and taking double-digit shots in six straight games while shooting over 50% from the field. He is very shooting dependant but in a game with a total approaching 240 against the Nuggets 24th ranked defense, I am on board in all formats.
Tyus Jones FD - $5200 DK - $4900
Opponent - SA
Proj Pts FD - 35.25 DK - 37.85
This is a situation we will have to monitor leading up to lock as Ja Morant missed Sunday's game with a thigh injury and is questionable on Monday along with Demond Bane. As of writing this, I am going to assume the Griz aren't going to push their superstar in a game where they are 11-point favorites. That brings us to Tyus Jones who could be one of the top overall value plays on the slate once again. He got the start last night playing 34 minutes and while he took the 4th most shots, he was efficient making 7 of 15 for 21 points while adding six assists and four steals for a 40+ fantasy point night. If one of Morant or Bane is out tonight, Tyus should get another start and it's a beauty spot against the Spurs who rank dead last in defense on the season.
LeBron James FD - $11200 DK - $10900
Opponent - DEN
Proj Pts FD - 57 DK - 58.38
I mentioned the Lakers' injury woes above and that brings LBJ to the forefront of this slate and the superstar we are going to be building around. He has been consistent all season but has been especially dominating with AD out of the lineup as he is shooting over 56% on 23.3 shots per game in the 10 games without him. Everything lines up for another monster night considering the injuries, great matchup against Denver's 24th ranked defense and the fact this game has the highest total on the slate. Fire up Bron as an elite play in all formats.
Julius Randle FD - $10100 DK - $10400
Opponent - MIL
Proj Pts FD - 46.13 DK - 49.82
This game has the lowest total on the slate and the matchup isn't too fantasy friendly against the Bucks' Top 5 defence but we just can't ignore the run that Randle has been on lately. After averaging just 40.5 DraftKings points per game over the first two months(27 games) of the season, Randle turned on beast mode tallying a double-double in 12 of his last 13 games while averaging 56.3 DraftKings points per game. The price has also leveled off and sitting in the low $10K range on both sites and even in a tougher matchup, Randle provides a terrific PTS/$ fantasy floor. I will have exposure in all formats.
Thomas Bryant FD - $6800 DK - $6300
Opponent - DEN
Proj Pts FD - 35.04 DK - 37.35
Despite the injury to Anthony Davis who has been out since mid-December, the Lakers are currently in their best stretch of the season and the only question for fantasy tonight, is how many Lakers' is too many? As of now, I am locked onto three of them in main build and Bryant is easily one of those. He has not only filled in for AD down low, but he has also played some of the best basketball of his career averaging a double-double on 16.9 points and 10.6 rebounds over the past 12 games giving us an average of 34.6 DraftKings points. The price is on the rise but still below $7K on both sites putting him in play in all formats as a top PTS/$ option.
Also Consider: Xavier Tillman(MEM) if the Grizzlies are once again short-handed and he gets the start
