Point Guard/ Shooting Guard

Shai Gilgeous-AlexanderShai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10800 DK - $10000
Opponent - CHA
Proj Pts FD - 52.91 DK - 54.03

It’s going to be an interesting slate here with teams definitely making their intentions known around tanking and other groups getting back to full strength. As of this writing, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is questionable so we will need to see where he lands, but if he plays he’s a top option here. For starters, the Hornets stink so he draws one of the best matchups on the slate. The Thunder still have a chance at the playoffs here and they seem like they are going for it with SGA playing solid minutes in the short term. He’s had an unbelievable season, has ascended into superstar territory and still isn’t priced for his production in this matchup. Keep an eye on his injury status here for sure.

**Update - SGA is out tonight**

s Dennis Smith Jr.Dennis Smith Jr. FD - $6500 DK - $7000
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 33.1 DK - 33.91

Again, a theme of this slate is that we are likely going to be playing some guys on tanking teams. That’s the nature of these late season slates wherein some good and great players have been shut down for the season or are at least being injury managed. One of them is the Hornets who are already without LaMelo Ball and now Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward are out as well. Dennis Smith Jr. has been starting at point guard and that should remain the case in this game. He went for 14 points, six assists, and five rebounds last game against the Mavs in just 28 minutes. He did have foul trouble and I think the real minutes are more around 30+ and though he’s getting expensive, if Kelly Oubre is out as well then the usage should be there.

Delon WrightDelon Wright FD - $5800 DK - $5400
Opponent - BOS
Proj Pts FD - 32.79 DK - 33.28M

We are going to need to keep an eye on the Wiz situation leading into this slate. Last game, Monte Morris sat out and Delon Wright got the start at point guard. That could be the case again for this one and 34 minutes in another game isn’t out of the question. He mostly disappointed on that run last time around, scoring just five points, though he did add eight assists and seven rebounds. He would be an excellent play even in a bad matchup against the Celtics if he was in the starting lineup again.

Small Forward

Deni AvdijaDeni Avdija FD - $6800 DK - $6500
Opponent - BOS
Proj Pts FD - 33.09 DK - 35.91

Speaking of the Wizards, another guy who’s been able to capitalize on the injury situation there to Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma has been Deni Avdija. The latter has been in the starting lineup of late and putting up big fantasy numbers with the opportunity. Over the last four games, he’s averaging 16.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists. Those are borderline elite fantasy stats and he’s not priced anywhere close to that kind of production.

Svi MykhailiukSvi Mykhailiuk FD - $4200 DK - $4900
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 22.38 DK - 25.53

Another guy who’s seen his playing time spike of late because of injuries is Svi Mykhailiuk who has played more than 30 minutes in each of the last three Hornets’ games. In that stretch he’s averaged 12 points, three rebounds, and a couple of assists. It’s not been an overwhelming stat line, but the key here is that he’s coming cheap on a slate that might not have a ton of lower-tier value. He’s not a lock by any means, and is only small forward eligible on DraftKings, but I think he’s in consideration.

Power Forward/ Center

Kristaps PorzingisKristaps Porzingis FD - $9400 DK - $9300
Opponent - BOS
Proj Pts FD - 49.47 DK - 52.33

Are the Wizards double-digit underdogs? Yup! Are we still thinking about paying for them in cash? You bet! Kristaps Porzingis is averaging 25 points and 6.6 rebounds over the last five games with 12 blocks+steals in that frame. The Celtics could easily run over the Wizards here so that has to be factored in, but without Beal and Kuzma, Staps is averaging about 17 shots per game in the short-term and that kind of usage and opportunity is tough to pass up at these prices.

P.J. WashingtonP.J. Washington FD - $7000 DK - $7800
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 33.11 DK - 34.67

Nick RichardsNick Richards FD - $5300 DK - $4700
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 33.74 DK - 34.65

The Hornets are fully in the tank for sure, but that doesn’t mean we can’t grab some value with the big men. For starters, PJ Washington has gone to another level in the last few games. He’s taken 20+ shots in each of the last three, averaging 22 points over that stretch. The rebounds have come and gone, but he’s become the highest usage guy on the team in their current setup. If that continues along the same lines, then he’s not priced correctly especially on FanDuel.

And then there is Nick Richards who should get the start at center in their current setup that has the team rotating he and Mark Williams on a game-by-game basis. I actually think the way things are going for Charlotte, the minutes are pretty safe for him even in blowout scenarios because they just want to get him run.
