Pitchers

Kyle WrightKyle Wright FD - P 9200 DK - SP 7200
Opponent - MIA (Sixto Sánchez) Park - MIA
FD - 28.79 DK - 14.82

Pitching is going to be very tough today with teams facing elimination and as of writing this there are only three pitchers even confirmed for this slate. One that stands out to me right off the bat is Kyle Wright who, after struggling early on this season, finished with three straight quality starts. He will now make his first postseason start and face the Marlins who have yet to score a run in this series. I see the Braves closing this series out on Thursday with Wright leading the way with a win. I will have exposure in all formats.

We are going to have to wait until the morning for the rest of the starters to be announced as it would only be speculation at this point. The Dodgers could go with either Tony Gondolin or Dustin may, both of which would be interesting GPP options at their prices. Tampa Bay is likely going with a bullpen game while it could be Frankie Montas vs. Cristian Javier in the A's/Astros game four.

Catcher/First Base

Matt OlsonMatt Olson FD - 1B 3100 DK - 1B 4700
Opponent - HOU (Undecided) Park - HOU
FD - 11.27 DK - 8.39

Despite scoring 11 runs and up 2-0 in the series, paying up for Freddie Freeman hasn't worked so I will be taking the discount, especially on FanDuel, and rolling with Olson today. While consistency isn't something we ever mention, Olson more than makes up for it with his power upside(14 during regular season) and comes into today with a long ball in two of his last three games. Stay tuned for the Astros starter but if it Javier, I love this play even more as he has been much worse vs. lefties giving up a .332 wOBA(.208 to righties).

Also Consider: Freddie Freeman(ATL) despite just one hit in four playoff games is still the MVP and one of the most consistent batters in the league. At catcher, it will be hard not to fit Freeman's teammate Travis D'Arnaud who has been red-hot in the playoffs with hits in all four games including home runs in back to back games against the Marlins

Second Base

Mike BrosseauMike Brosseau FD - 2B 2500 DK - 1B/3B 5000
Opponent - NYY (Jordan Montgomery) Park - NYY
FD - 9.23 DK - 7.08

Hard to ignore the Rays value tonight against a lefty where they finished 6th in wOBA(.343)and 4th in wRC+(121) as a team in the split in 2020. Brosseau is one of their many utility players and he gets a large % of his at-bats against lefties as he has tallied an elite .389 wOBA and 150 wRC+ in the split since the start of last season. There is also a chance he hits leadoff or at least at the top of the order which would make him an every-lineup play for me but either way I will have exposure in all formats. Keep in mind he is listed at first base and outfield on DraftKings.

Also Consider: DJ Lemahieu(NYY) on DraftKings as he is somehow $100 cheaper than Brosseau and is the 2020 batting champion(.364)

Shortstop

Fernando Tatis Jr.Fernando Tatis Jr. FD - SS 4400 DK - SS 4900
Opponent - LAD (Undecided) Park - SD
FD - 12.6 DK - 9.63

This obviously all going to depend on the Dodgers starting pitcher announcement but Tatis is easily one of my favorite payups on this slate. The Padres' success centers around Tatis and he showed that in the wildcard round singlehandedly turning that series around with two swings. He now has hits in four straight playoff games going into Wednesday and gives us a high floor and ceiling for fantasy, especially if he gets a favorable matchup in game three.

Also Consider: Willy Adames(TB) who is a part of a stable of lefty mashing value plays or Marcus Semien(OAK) who has been very consistent at the top of the A's lineup with four straight multi-hit games.

Third Base

Alex BregmanAlex Bregman FD - 3B 3800 DK - 3B 4400
Opponent - OAK (Frankie Montas) Park - HOU
FD - 13.15 DK - 9.79

After a somewhat low-scoring wildcard round, the Astros have exploded for 22 runs in the first three games of the series showing off their playoff experience. Bad news for the A's chances here as Bregman is starting to heat up with multi-hit efforts in two of his last three games with a double and a home run. If paying up at the position, he is my favorite play and safe in all formats.

Chad PinderChad Pinder FD - 3B 2300 DK - 2B/3B 2200
Opponent - HOU (Undecided) Park - HOU
FD - 9.63 DK - 7.33>

The system has been all over Chad Pinder the past two days and he has not let us down with a home run in back-to-back games and four hits overall. Provided he is back in the lineup again today, and I see no reason why they would sit him, he is going to be a core play again which really helps get us to Tatis, Freeman, and other top plays today.

Outfield

Randy ArozarenaRandy Arozarena FD - OF 3400 DK - OF 3800
Opponent - NYY (Jordan Montgomery) Park - NYY
FD - 10.28 DK - 7.88

Sticking with the Rays value, there is no way we leave out Randy Arozarena who burst onto the scene for Tampa at the end of the season posting a .422 wOBA and 176 wRC+ over 23 games(76 plate appearances). That success carried over into the playoffs as he has hits in all five games including four multi-hit efforts. Not only does he comes cheap on both sites and crush left-handed pitching(.591 wOBA, 291 wRC+), but he also hits at the top of the lineup making him a core play in all formats on Thursday.
