FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 2/2/21

Monday was almost a huge night for me. Yours truly dropped 330 in the single-entry contest on FanDuel while getting a big fat 0 from Will Barton. That was obviously very frustrating, but it's a reminder to keep an eye on the news as long as possible. I got distracted and stopped paying attention after lock, which is one of the dumbest things you can do in this racket. Detroit was the team that caused the postponement, and you need to keep an eye on them in the news because they're playing again here!

Point Guard

Damian LillardDamian Lillard FD - $10200 DK - $10700
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 50.82 DK - 53.7

This price is getting pretty lofty, but it's almost impossible to fade this guy right now. Before getting blown out on Monday, Lillard had at least 49 DraftKings points in each of his previous six games. That directly correlates with C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic getting injured, forcing Dame to run this offense. He usually runs the offense anyway, but his 32 percent usage rate in that span is absurd. The best part about using him today is the matchup though, with Washington ranked dead-last in total defense while playing at the fastest pace in the NBA.

Kemba WalkerKemba Walker FD - $5700 DK - $6700
Opponent - GS
Proj Pts FD - 32.73 DK - 33.4

Walker was already one of the league leaders with a 29 percent usage rate, and that's likely to increase with Marcus Smart out for the next few weeks. That sort of usage is crazy from a player this talented, especially with Kemba priced so affordably. He's usually priced somewhere between $7,000-$8,000, and it's just a matter of time before he gets there. Scoring at least 32 DK points in three of his last five games is a good indicator that he's starting to find his groove, and the absence of Smart might finally get him over the 30-minute threshold. We love this matchup too, with Golden State ranked 23rd in total defense this year.

Ja Morant should not be below $8,000 on both sites like he is.

Shooting Guard

Bradley BealBradley Beal FD - $10800 DK - $9900
Opponent - POR
Proj Pts FD - 58.97 DK - 60.43

How is Bradley Beal below $10,000 on DraftKings? This has been one of the best players in the NBA this season, and it makes no sense why he remains in this price range. We're talking about a dude who's scored at least 38 DK points in every game this year en route to a 52-point average. He's the only player below five-figures doing that sort of damage, and it's no surprise when you see that he's leading the NBA in usage rate while taking over 28 shots a game over the last three weeks. Having Lillard and Beal face-off should only make him more motivated, especially with Portland ranked 28th in defensive efficiency.

Jeremy LambJeremy Lamb FD - $5300 DK - $5400
Opponent - MEM
Proj Pts FD - 29.1 DK - 28.68

Lamb has been great since returning from injury, and he's one of the best pairings with the aforementioned studs. He's actually got at least 28 DraftKings points in three of his last four games, directly correlating with reinsertion into the starting lineup. That's the production you usually see from a $6,000 player, and one has to believe he'll only improve as the season progresses. We adore this matchup with Memphis too, with the Grizzlies owning a 25th OPRK against opposing shooting guards this season.

Wayne Ellington has been raining three's for weeks and remains too cheap as well.

Small Forward

Kawhi LeonardKawhi Leonard FD - $9600 DK - $9200
Opponent - BKN
Proj Pts FD - 45.6 DK - 45.54

A matchup with the Nets is one of the best things in DFS right now. Not only do they rank at the bottom of every defensive metric since the James Harden trade, but it also motivates players against all of these superstars. That should certainly be the case for Kawhi, who will definitely be at full tilt against Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving. Leonard has been cruising recently too, scoring at least 52 DK points in eight of his last 15 games. That pairs wonderfully with his 32-point floor, and the matchup makes us believe that a 60-spot is definitely a possibility.

Jerami GrantJerami Grant FD - $6800 DK - $7000
Opponent - UTA
Proj Pts FD - 38.23 DK - 38.67

Grant's production has definitely fallen off a bit recently, but this price drop is way too drastic. He's actually fallen about $1,500 on both sites over the last week, and that's just way too much. We're talking about a guy who scored at least 32 DK points in his previous 17 games before two duds last week. Those happened to be two blowouts, though, and while that seems like a possibility here, we can't overlook this pricing by these sites. Anyone with a 32-point floor should be at least $8K, and the small forward position is one position that Utah has struggled with this season. If he hustles and plays 30 minutes, Grant should easily provide 5X value no matter what happens in this game.

If you need to save some salary, Kelly Oubre is a nice option below $6K.

Power Forward

Chris BoucherChris Boucher FD - $5200 DK - $4900
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 30.8 DK - 29.61

Recent form is definitely not going to make us want to use Boucher, but this is another price drop we want to capitalize on. Before dudding out in the last two games, Boucher averaged over 32 DK points per game across his previous 15 outings. It's not like Toronto is getting much out of their frontcourt anyway, and it's just a matter of time before they start giving this beast the minutes he deserves. To put it simply, we can't overlook a guy who's dropped $2,400 in just one week, making Boucher a great GPP option. Orlando just lost their starting power forward as well, and that only adds to CB's value.

Tristan ThompsonTristan Thompson FD - $3800 DK - $3900
Opponent - GS
Proj Pts FD - 18.98 DK - 19.07

This is a total punt play, but Thompson should not be this cheap. This is a rebounding machine who's scored at least 14 fantasy points in all but two games this season. While that doesn't sound like a whole lot, a 4X floor from a $3,800 player is hard to overlook, particularly when we want to squeeze in studs like Lillard, Leonard, and Beal. If we can get eight boards out of TT, which he's done in 11 of 16 games, it'd be hard for him not to reach value. The matchup makes him even more intriguing, with Golden State surrendering the third-most fantasy points to opposing PFs this season.

If you have the salary, Domantas Sabonis is the best pick at this position.

Center

Rudy GobertRudy Gobert FD - $9100 DK - $7200
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 50.93 DK - 49.97

While this FanDuel price is appropriate, this DraftKings price is not. Paying $7,200 for Gobert is absolutely criminal, and it's hard to understand what they were thinking. The Utah big man has scored at least 34 DK points in 13 of his last 15 games, averaging over 40 fantasy points per game in that span. You never see that from a $7,200 player, and he's actually averaging 47 DK points per game across his last four fixtures. That absurd form looks even better when you consider that Detroit surrenders the most fantasy points to opposing centers.

Enes KanterEnes Kanter FD - $7000 DK - $6900
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 34.69 DK - 34.24

Kanter has been a per-minute beast throughout his career, and we love that he's starting in Portland now. The Nurkic injury is the thing that's opened up the job for Kanter, starting in seven-straight games. He's actually recorded a double-double in four-straight fixtures, which is no surprise when you realize that Kanter averages about 1.3 DK points per minute for his career. That's great news with his 33 minute average in that span, making him impossible to avoid. We haven't even discussed how he faces the worst defense in the NBA that happens to play at the fastest pace. That means more possessions and more rebounds for this per-minute monster, and a 20-20 game is not out of the realm of possibility.

DeAndre Jordan consistently scores between 25-30 fantasy points and could be hungry against his former team.
