FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 2/3/21

After just six games on Tuesday, we have a full 10-game slate here. We need to keep an eye on so many things, though, with numerous guys being ruled out already. We also have a few teams in the second half of a back-to-back, which means even more players are bound to sit. While we have some of that info now, be sure to monitor news up until first tip. With that in mind, let's get into it!

Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below.

Point Guard

Dejounte MurrayDejounte Murray FD - $6900 DK - $6400
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 40.91 DK - 41.3

How often do you see a player projected for more than 40 points priced below $7,000? That's what we have here with Murray, and it's a wonder why many of these Spurs remain so cheap. We love him his stat-stuffing ways, averaging 14.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game for the season. He's one of the best rebounding guards in the NBA too, and he should be able to feast even more with LaMarcus Aldridge missing. Those big numbers have led to him scoring at least 33 DraftKings points in 10 of his last 11 games, making these price tags hard to figure. We haven't even discussed how he faces a 27th-ranked Timberwolves defense.

Lonzo BallLonzo Ball FD - $6200 DK - $5700
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 36.03 DK - 37.26

Lonzo has been cruising recently, and it's a wonder why these DFS sites haven't taken notice. The talented point guard has scored at least 30 DK points in four of his last five games, averaging 34 fantasy points per game in that span. That's all you can ask for from a $6K player, and he's done that despite struggling with his shot. While we don't necessarily like the matchup, Ball had one of the best games of his career against the Suns in his final game against them last season. He collected 20 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, three steals, and two blocks en route to a 52-point gem. If he does that at this price, Ball will be in every optimal lineup.

Speaking of the Ball family, LaMelo Ball could be a great play if he starts again.

Shooting Guard

Bradley BealBradley Beal FD - $10800 DK - $9700
Opponent - MIA
Proj Pts FD - 55.58 DK - 56.87

With Russell Westbrook likely sitting this game out in the second half of a back-to-back, Beal is probably the best play on the board. We say that because he's leading the NBA in usage rate with him on the floor, and one has to believe he'll be over 40 percent in with Russ gone here. What makes that even crazier is the fact that he's averaging nearly 30 shots a night over the last three weeks, averaging 54 DK points per game over those nine fixtures. If we get 30 shots and a 40 percent usage rate out of a guy this talented, we could honestly be looking at 60-70 fantasy points.

Jeremy LambJeremy Lamb FD - $5300 DK - $5700
Opponent - MIL
Proj Pts FD - 29.16 DK - 29.14

These sites really need to boost Lamb's price. The former Uconn stud has been excellent ever since returning from injury, and it's hard to believe he remains in the mid-$5,000s. He's actually scored at least 28 DraftKings points in four of his last five games, correlating with a return to the starting lineup. He's also played about 30 minutes a night over his last three fixtures, and one would have to believe his shot attempts will only increase the more adept he gets with the offense. The matchup against Milwaukee only adds to his value, with the Bucks playing at the seventh-fastest pace in the NBA while sitting 20th in total defense.

With John Wall out, don't forget about Victor Oladipo and Eric Gordon.

Small Forward

Jimmy ButlerJimmy Butler FD - $8500 DK - $8400
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 46.06 DK - 44.83

Butler is the best bet of any player below $9K to reach 50 fantasy points. We say that because he's done that in each of his first two games since returning from injury, running the show for Miami. That's the stud we remember, and one would have to believe he'll duplicate that in this matchup. Not only does Washington rank dead-last in numerous defensive metrics, but they also play at the fastest pace in the NBA. He certainly showed that in their one meeting earlier this season, dropping 60 DraftKings points, falling one assist shy of a triple-double.

Gordon HaywardGordon Hayward FD - $7400 DK - $7200
Opponent - PHI
Proj Pts FD - 40.59 DK - 41.38

With P.J. Washington and Terry Rozier likely sitting here, Hayward should be adding to his already heavy workload. He actually has a 27 percent usage rate with those two off the floor, and we anticipate it being closer to 30 percent here. While many people may not realize it, Hay is making a case for an Eastern Conference All-Star appearance. He's currently averaging 23 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. That equates to about 40 DraftKings points a night, which is less than Hayward is averaging in his two meetings with the Sixers this season. That looks even less surprising when you see that Philly owns a 25th OPRK against opposing small forwards this year as well.

If Kemba Walker sits, Jaylen Brown is hard to avoid below $9K.

Power Forward

Jarrett AllenJarrett Allen FD - $7000 DK - $6500
Opponent - LAC
Proj Pts FD - 35.21 DK - 35.71

If Andre Drummond is out again here, Allen is the best per-dollar play on the board. On Monday, The Fro provided 23 points, 18 rebounds, and five blocks en route to 58 DraftKings points in a start for Drum. That absurd line is less surprising when you see that Allen is averaging 1.2 DK points per minute. They could also be without Larry Nance Jr and Kevin Love, which means the 35 minutes Allen played on Monday could be the floor. If we get 35-40 minutes at this 1.2-point rate, Allen should be looking at 42-48 fantasy points. It's not like the center position is scary for the Clippers either, with an undersized Serge Ibaka starting there.

Lauri MarkkanenLauri Markkanen FD - $6700 DK - $7100
Opponent - NY
Proj Pts FD - 36.49 DK - 38.27

It feels crazy to recommend Markkanen at this inflated price, but he's earned every bit of it with his stellar play. Since returning from injury two weeks ago, Markkanen has scored at least 28 DK points in seven of his last eight games while averaging 34 fantasy points a night. A big part of that is Wendell Carter Jr's absence, opening up shots, rebounds, and minutes for Mark. While New York is a scary matchup on the surface, Lauri dropped 42.3 DK points on them just two nights ago in one of the best performances of his career.

Bam Adebayo crushed the Wizards last season and should thrive against them here.

Center

Al HorfordAl Horford FD - $6500 DK - $6000
Opponent - HOU
Proj Pts FD - 33.92 DK - 34.37

Big Al can be a beast anytime he steps on the court, and we definitely think he's going to be a focal point of this lackluster Thunder offense with SGA out of the lineup. He's shown that recently, scoring at least 30 DK points in five of his last six games. Horford is also averaging 35 DK points per game in that span and has a 40-point average since returning from injury last week. He's picked up that 40-point average in just 26.3 minutes a night, and it's scary to think how good he could be if he plays 30-35 minutes. We don't mind the matchup either, with Houston ranked fourth in pace while owning a 19th OPRK against opposing centers.

Cody ZellerCody Zeller FD - $5500 DK - $5800
Opponent - PHI
Proj Pts FD - 31.04 DK - 32.01

Balding white guys rarely find their way into this article but let's celebrate a smiling Cody Zeller. Just look at that picture! Anyway, this dude has been balling out since returning from injury, scoring at least 37 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. It's hard to imagine a player below $6K scoring 37 DK points once in a four-game stretch, let alone three times. Losing Washington to injury only adds to Zeller's value, opening up more rebounds and usage in the frontcourt. He'll be needed for big minutes too, considering Charlotte has no one to match up with Joel Embiid outside of Zeller.

Mitchell Robinson is a solid GPP option around $5K on both sites.
