Guards

Jordan Poole FD - $7800 DK - $7800
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 40.01 DK - 42.64

For you regular readers, it probably feels like a copy/paste job with Poole but as long he remains under $8K with Curry out, he is as close to a lock as there is right now. He has been especially dominating over this last three-game stretch with Steph out averaging 49.5 DK points and going back to the start of December(16 games) is averaging 28.9 points on 21.8 shots and over 41 fantasy points per game with Curry out.  It's only an average matchup against the Wizards(15th in def eff) but the projected usage at this price still has him as a top PTS/$ play in all formats.

Brandon Ingram FD - $7800 DK - $7800
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 42.67 DK - 43.81

There are five guards over $10K on DraftKings(three on FD) but I much prefer a balanced attack when looking at the slate from a PTS/$ perspective. Ingram was eased back in after missing two months with a toe injury but has been terrific since returning to his 30+ minute role(five games) averaging 26.4 points on 19.6 shots and 43.8 DK/42.4 FD points per game. While the Thunder are mid-pack in overall defensive efficiency the have given up the 3rd most fantasy points to guards. This game has the highest total on the board and Ingram is a top target for me in all formats.

Jordan Clarkson FD - $6200 DK - $6700
Opponent - IND

Collin Sexton FD - $5500 DK - $5200
Opponent - IND
Proj Pts FD - 28.12 DK - 29.38

The Jazz unloaded guards Conley, Alexander-Walker, and Beasley before the deadline and that, in turn, has created a ton of value with Clarkson and Sexton. Let's start with Clarkson who is has been very consistent in the short-term averaging 19.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and over 32 fantasy points per game over his last six games. The volume is there as he has taken 19 or more shots in three of his last four and the price is still under $7K in plus matchup against the Pacers who run at a Top 10 pace and rank 24th in defensive efficiency. For Sexton, the price has taken a huge after looking terrific over three straight starts where he averaged over 25 fantasy points per game. In this matchup, I am still on board with Sexton in all formats.

Small Forward

Lauri Markkanen FD - $7600 DK - $9100
Opponent - IND
Proj Pts FD - 42.04 DK - 45.79

There are a ton of great spots on this slate with a whopping six games with a total of 230 or higher and this is one of them that pits two teams rank outside the Top 20 in defence and inside the Top 12 in pace. I am a bit more interested in the Jazz side as they traded away half of their team creating a high floor in terms of minutes for those who stayed put at the deadline. Markkanen has been fantastic since the Christmas break averaging 27.8 points and 9.3 rebounds over those 21 games while recording 39 or more fantasy points in 17 of those games(average 45 per game). He is in play for me in all formats tonight and is an elite value on FanDuel where he is still in the mid $7k range. Lock and load.

Deni Avdija FD - $6100 DK - $6000
Opponent - GS
Proj Pts FD - 29.08 DK - 29.29

This is a bit speculative right now but it does appear Kyle Kuzma will miss his fourth straight game as he is dealing with an ankle injury which opens up some minutes and opportunity. While it has been Kispert getting two of the last three starts with Kuzma out, Avdija has been the one providing fantasy value averaging just over 30 fantasy points a game during that stretch. Even going back a bit further when Kuzma was healthy, Avdija was playing great and if you take out the game against Portland where h playing just 15 minutes, he is averaging over 35 fantasy points per game over his last nine. Stay tuned for the Kuzma news but Avdija is on my radar no matter what.

Power Forward/Center

Evan Mobley FD - $8000 DK - $7400
Opponent - SA
Proj Pts FD - 39.54 DK - 40.92

We have surprisingly made it this far in the article without targeting the worst defence in the league and it really comes down to the risk of a blowout on a large slate as the Cavs are 15-point favourites. Mobley is one player who has been mostly blowout-proof lately as he has tallied 29 or more DraftKings points in 20 straight games while playing under 30 minutes just three times. During that stretch, he is averaging just shy of a double-double with 18.1 points and 9 rebounds, has flashed 55+ fantasy point upside and is averaging 38 fantasy points per game. This is a smash spot and Mobley is in play for me in all formats.

Nikola Vucevic FD - $8800 DK - $9000
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 43.67 DK - 46.86

If it's consistency you're after, look no further than Nikola Vucevic. Even on a team that is incredibly balanced from top to bottom, Vucevic continues to provide an elite floor and comes into tonight having tallied 40 or more DraftKings points in 20 straight games while averaging a double-double on 20.2 points and 13.3 rebounds. He isn't just a high-floor play either as he has also tallied 50 or more DK points six times and 60 or more DK points three times during that stretch. Tonight, he also gets a great matchup against the Magic who rank 19th in defensive efficiency and 26th in fantasy points to centers. Lock and load in all formats.
