Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/26/16 Friday is here. And I have to say, after a truly crazy week around the DFSR offices, I'm feeling a little TGIF right now. Wait, what? We work every day? Doh. But wait - we write about daily fantasy sports for a living! Okay, okay. I'm back. Tonight's an interesting slate for a few reasons. We've got a pile of fast and loose defenses, and at least 1 team (the Bulls) with a ton of playing time uncertainty. It also seems like it might take 400 points to win a big tournament tonight, so keep that in mind when building your GPP lineups. If you want to grab a free trial of the winning projections that inform each and every one of these picks, check out our NBA Optimal Lineups, Projections, Player Cards and Google Chrome extension that auto-populates your lineups into FanDuel. While the seasons overlap, you'll get access to our tools for the NBA and NHL (and MLB when the time comes)! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebook on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! We've also launched a Stats and Research Page, which includes a lot of the individual statistics that we use to make our projections. It's free! Enjoy, POINT GUARD Mike Conley - FD 6900 DK 7200 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 36.05 DK Proj. Pts - 38.24 An easy one to start with. I wrote this the last time Conley played the Lakers (2 days ago, if you're keeping track at home), but this is literally the very perfect spot to play him. Not only have the Lakers allowed the most fantasy points to opposing point guards of any team in the league, the Grizzlies are essentially missing a whole team's worth of players as compared to what they were rolling out earlier this season. Conley put up 42 fantasy points in 29 minutes on Wednesday, and I see no reason why he shouldn't repeat that performance (or even exceed it, if the Lakers keep it close) on Friday. Chris Paul - FD 9800 DK 9600 Opponent - SAC FD Proj. Pts - 44.12 DK Proj. Pts - 46.01 I'm straying slightly from the...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 2/23/16

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/23/16 Tuesday's here! And to be real with you for a second, it's a seriously crazy day for us. We have a brand new lineup tool coming out today (I'll replace this text once it's fully launched), and we have some other potentially huge developments coming in the not to distant future. We just launched our stats and research page - where you can get access to a lot of the data that goes into our projection system. Meanwhile, there's daily fantasy politics to follow, with a bunch of insane candidates vying for the right to rule us. Okay, okay. Just the picks, James. I get it. Don't worry - my focus is totally on nailing this slate for y'all. So let's get to it. If you want to grab a free trial of the winning projections that inform each and every one of these picks, check out our lineup construction tool for DraftKings and FanDuel. POINT GUARD Emmanuel Mudiay - FD 5600 DK 5900 Opponent - SAC FD Proj. Pts - 27.23 DK Proj. Pts - 28.37 After a one game break from being a great play at these prices, Mudiay went back to work against the Celtics, putting up a solid 18/5/3 in just 30 minutes in a blowout loss to the Celtics. I've written this before, and I hate to repeat myself, but Mudiay is simply under-priced if he's going to cost less than $6,000 and play 33+ minutes per game. He gets a significant boost here because of the man who will be guarding him. David Thorpe had a terrific take on Rondo's defense on a recent Zach Lowe podcast - essentially, Rondo is simultaneously gambling too much for steals while also not doing the hard work of playing the team defense the modern NBA requires. This is great new for Mudiay, who can occasionally be overwhelmed by defense first point guards. He's got a high floor here, and enough ceiling that I'd recommend him...

Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury News and Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings – 2/19/16

Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury News and Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/19/16 Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Now let’s look at some news that’s come in throughout the day to see if anything’s changed in our minds or in the NBA landscape. What We Know Kawhi Leonard is out He was a late scratch (thanks for nothing, Pop) last night, and Kyle Anderson got a good amount of run. Still, the minutes in that game were all over the place for everyone. Anderson is more of an interesting tourney play than a double-up guy for me, just because he's simply not very good. This news is also significant for LaMarcus Aldridge, who gets a 10%+ usage bump when Kawhi's not on the floor. His usage also soars to 33%+ when both Duncan and Leonard are off the floor, which will inevitably happen in this one. Amar'e Stoudemire, Luol Deng, and Justise Winslow should see increased roles With Whiteside AND Bosh out, it's sort of unclear how the Heat are going to handle things. My gut tells me they are going to play Deng and Winslow more, and that they play Stoudemire as much or more than they have all season. The Hawks are basically a league average match-up for each of these guys, and each has plenty of value at current prices. EDIT: Casey, a member of our DFSR community, points out that the ATL bigs could eat the piecemeal Miami bigs for lunch. I tend to agree - Stoudemire isn't a true 5, and Horford certainly is. Millsap will be a very tough match-up for Deng as well. It should be a slow paced game, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see a big game out of either of those guys. Tobias Harris is coming off the bench Basically just means that whole collection of guys (Tolliver, Harris, probably Stanley Johnson) are a stay-away until we see how this plays out in at least 1 close game.   What We’re Waiting to Know Marco Belinelli and Omri Casspi's mouths...
