It's the simplest daily fantasy football game in the world, and it might be your best bet to cash in without trying to do a ton of research.   Quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger - FD 8300 DK 7400 DD 12850 DFSTR 7000 Big Ben will be a popular play this week, and for good reason. After putting up 314 yards against Tampa Bay's 3rd worst passing defense, he'll get the crown prince of terrible passing defenses in week 5 against Jacksonville. The Jaguars' 321 passing yards allowed per game is the league's worst, and their terrible performance against the pass last year suggests that this year's horrendousness (special term coined for the Jags) is no fluke. What I really love about Ben in terms of his upside is his Red Zone usage. This will be a theme for this week, by the way, so get used to it. Roethlisberger has had the ball in...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baseball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. Want picks for FanDuel, Draftster, and Draftday as well? Check em out. Hit it Bryce:   Before we get started, here are three keys to success on DraftKings and daily leagues in general: KNOW YOUR VALUE You will consistently see me refer back to the term "value". Determining the value of a player only takes some basic mathematics (some fourth and fifth grade level stuff here, people!) In Draftkings, I always shoot for 3 points per $1,000 spent or in other words if a player costs $6,000 then I need him to get 18 points in order to reach his value. If all players I select reach value then each of my lineups should average 150 points which will guarantee victory in every single double up league and almost guarantee a minimum cash in any GPP multi-entry league. Disclaimer: 3 points per $1,000 is a HIGH value mark. In reality, if you can get 2.5 points per $1,000 then you should safely profit from week to week, but we're not looking for safe profit...we want MASSIVE GAINS! YOUR BEST WEAPON IS YOUR OWN TWO EYES The best way to know how a player is performing from week to week is by watching the game! I know, thank you captain obvious; but if you plan on putting up more than a couple bucks, I highly suggest watching as much live game action as you can. There are hundreds of sites that post positional rankings based on statistics of previous games and this is fine for your start 'em or sit 'em questions in your yearly "family" league. However, often times stats can be very misleading. Stats...

One Week Fantasy Football Picks for Scorestreak Week 2

Posted by on Sep 12, 2014 in Weekly Fantasy Football Picks | 0 comments

Weekly Fantasy Football Picks for ScoreStreak Week 2 Looking for our picks for traditional salary cap leagues like FanDuel and Draftkings? Click here. DFSR has partnered with ScoreStreak: a new, innovative style of DFS play. Gone is the salary finagling, mixing and matching, and hair-pulling that goes into setting lineups. ScoreStreak simplifies the process in an easy-to-use interface. Employing a prop-pick style, ScoresStreak leagues are specific outcome dependent with three categories: Total Bases, Hits, and for pitchers, Strikeouts. Check out their new promotion coming for NFL season where you can win a new Tesla! Also, new users who deposit through DFSR will get an extra $10 to play with.  And if you are new to daily fantasy football, make sure read our Free Football e-book. Also be sure to sign up for a free 3-day trial to access the MLB and NFL system and spreadsheets that help produce our picks. And give ScoreStreak a try. You'll like it as much as we do. Now go win that Tesla!   QB Touchdowns Drew Brees Brees came up small for us last week, but the three rushing touch downs the Saints scored should be the exception, and not the rule. The Browns allowed almost 400 yards to Ben Roethlisberger, so Brees should have plenty of opportunity to put up some numbers here. Tom Brady Yep! I'm taking Brady over Manning this week. Brady was so embarrassed by last week's performance that this has all the makings of a revenge game for him, Belichick, and what's left of the evil empire. While Minny's D looked great in week 1, they allowed the 2nd most passing yards of any team last year, and I think they don't get quite so lucky against what ought to be a recharged Pats team.   All purpose yards LeSean McCoy With 27 touches and 115 total yards, it is clear that the Birds plan on employing Shady just as actively as they did last year, even if they have Sproles to feed as well. The Colts allowed the 7th most rushing yards last year, and this could be a nice spot for him. Adrian Peterson Not a controversial play, I wouldn't think. The Pats got blown up by Knowshon Moreno, and Peterson is probably just a liiiiiiiiitle bit better than Knowshon is. I do think the Pats will have a solid lead, but that shouldn't stop AD from getting his and then some.   Receptions Pierre Garcon He's a target machine, and if the Redskins are going to play as conservatively as they showed during week 1, Garcon should exceed any reception total you'll need for him. Calvin Johnson It's hard to imagine Stafford getting away from Megatron in this one. A tougher opposing D in Carolina...

NFL Sleepers and Stacks for FanDuel, DraftKings, DraftDay and Draftster for Week 2

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, DraftDay and Draftster for Week 2 Could you be luckier? We're prepared to send you a free eBook on how the pros set both daily fantasy baseball AND football lineups, free of charge! Check out the details, and get your copies now! And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baseball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. A look back at week 1 Last week's column turned out to be very solid. As far as I know, we were one of the only outfits to give you Chad Henne, who could easily have been a part of winning lineups if paired with the right high priced stars. Chris Johnson was great as well. Marqise Lee was targeted 9 times. Kenny Britt and Shaun Hill were an abomination, and T-Rich didn't come through like he could of. But hey, it's a sleeper article! Not all of em will bring home the bacon! A peek ahead at week 2 If you want our full slate of picks for week 2, click here. I go position by position and give you whom I believe to be the best plays, dollar for dollar, for Week 2's games. This article is going to be a little bit different. Instead, I'm going to focus on particular lineup formation strategies that might help you get some separation from the field and get those value plays and sleepers that will let you spend money elsewhere while cashing in for cheap.   Sleepers The whole concept of a sleeper in one week fantasy football games needs to be adjusted. First of all, there's no real such thing as a "sleeper," in that you're not really going to sleep on a guy until he wakes up. What you're looking at with cheap plays are guys who are priced very reasonably who could go off if all things break right. Sniffing out the best cheap plays with upside is really the only way to have a chance in hell at taking down some of these utterly massive NFL tournaments. You'll pay up for the big names, and then hope your bargain plays pay off. That's where we come in - here are some sleepers that we love for Week 1. Another quick note:...

One Week Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, DraftDay and Draftster Week 2, 2014

One Week Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, DraftDay and Draftster Week 2, 2014 Week 1 is in the books, and it was great times here at DFSR central. It's the simplest daily fantasy football game in the world, and it might be your best bet to cash in without trying to do a ton of research.   Quarterbacks An eerily quiet week for Quarterbacks, with only 2 QBs throwing for even 3 touchdowns. I don't think this is any sort of indicator for the future, and I think a lot of QBs will feel like they have a lot to prove. All that said, I'm not taking toooooo much away from week 1 that we didn't already know. As a reminder, I like to spend more on QB in double ups and less in GPPs, simply because QBs tend to be less volatile on a week to week basis. Tom Brady - FD 8500 DK 7000 DD 13200 DFSTR 7700 If you're spooked by Brady's week 1 performance, let me talk you down off the ledge for a second. First of all, Brady aired it out 56 times against a Dolphins defense that was better than league average last year defending against the pass. While he didn't convert that into a huge day, one has to figure...
