It’s an odd day in the NBA as there is the early, 3:30 game between the Knicks and the Bucks in London and then two games in the evening. This will be an abbreviated picks column because of it. The early slate has me worried on sites like FanDuel that don’t allow late swaps (it’s an eternity between the early game and evening slate). I’ll focus mainly on the evening games as I think those are a little easier to break down, but will give a couple of quick thoughts on the Knicks and Bucks guys as well.   Early Game The Knicks are an utter mess right now and there rotations make it a little tough to find value. That’s mostly because they consistently get blown out and subsequently the minutes are all over the place. Combine that with not knowing if Carmelo is going to play (or how much) and you have a total mess. If playing the early slate I would consider Cole Aldrich. But beyond that it’s really buyer beware. There will certainly be some guys who hit value for them (they are all so cheap because again, they suck) but parsing it out ahead of time is super dicey. On the Bucks’ side, we have some of the same uncertainty but for a slightly different reasons. Jason Kidd yanks around minutes like crazy, making the “safety” on some guys anything but implied. I would definitely consider Zaza Pachulia and Giannis Antetokounmpo but the minutes have dipped in the short term. Khris Middleton is intriguing but again, the run isn’t locked in. This is all mostly to say that this early slate feels like a total stay away for me. Great freerolls for miles over at Scorestreak, by the way. Get involved today by clicking the banner below! And they have a great offer: refer a friend, have them play $25 worth of games and get a $25 Amazon gift card.   Evening Slate Big Money Fair warning: This slate isn’t exactly the most ripe with value. This is for a couple of reasons. One is that you are going to...

Now go get that deposit bonus.   Passing Touchdowns Peyton Manning Andrew Luck I’m including these two guys as the top two in terms of passing touchdown expectations for a couple of reasons. The first is obvious: they rank one and two over the course of the season for passing touchdowns. If prior practice is any indication of future performance (which it isn’t obviously, but in this case I’ll take it) then why not get money in on the two guys who throw it into the end zone the most? (It should be said that Rodgers is in third but only by one passing TD.) The other piece that has these two as the top plays rather than Discount Double Check is the flow of this game should lend itself to a high-scoring affair. Vegas has the over/under at 54, the highest on the day with the Broncos giving seven. With the most points projected and two teams that really enjoy throwing in the red zone, then you are going to get your most passing TDs here. Slot them in as one and two in your ScoreStreak squads and then start hoping for a shootout.   All-Purpose Yards Demarco Murray All-purpose yards is tough this week. With so few teams going and those teams that are often choosing to spread their fantasy love all over the squad, you are left with very limited options in terms of big yardage upside. To start, I wouldn’t feel confident putting anyone in the highest slot because no one is close to a favorite to get there. Even the second slot, frankly, seems dicey. I’ll take Murray as the highest projection simply because he, among any other player on this slate, should touch the ball the most. That ideas alone is worth it. The Cowboys will need to rely on Murray to carry the load in order to keep the ball out of the hands of...

Daily Fantasy Football Week 17 Picks – DraftKings – “The Best Time of the Year”

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baseball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. Want picks for FanDuel, Draftster, and Draftster as well? Check em out. It truly is the best time of the year in so many ways. Food. Family. Presents. Booze. Laughter. Vacation. The appreciation of the upcoming New Year and what lies ahead. Tweet me your resolutions @brycemcvay, I’m looking for additional ideas. So far my favorite came from my British girlfriend, “I’m giving up desserts, except chocolate…that doesn’t count.” (You really have to read that out loud in a British accent to get the full appreciation). But sentimentalities aside, it begins the best time of the year for Sports. It’s the last week of the NFL regular season and the last week of true DFS competition (of course, the addicts will be partaking in playoffs leagues). With the NFL playoffs comes bowl season including the inaugural college football four team playoffs; ESPN you can no longer ask the question “who’s in?” I must say I do think the committee chose the most entertaining matchups from a neutral fan standpoint and I haven’t been this excited since the 2001 Miami Hurricanes. (Love the new 30 for 30 The U: Part 2). The finale of the football seasons is like having dessert before dinner, but the NHL and the NBA still appease our needs until my single most favorite sporting event, March Madness, kicks in only a couple months into the New Year. Yea, it’s good to be a sports fan and even better when you can make some dollhairs while watching. So let’s end this DFS NFL season properly by clean sweeping every double up we enter. I saw a sea of green last week as I cashed in every league I entered and if you followed my guidance, especially my Saturday tweets, then you too cashed handsomely. An important side note, I will be aiming at players that actually have something to play for. I also haven’t seen all that much value open up due to injuries, other than S-Jax. I...

Draftster has a ton of cool stuff going on including the a whole host of Freerolls.  Reminder: This article explores Draftster-specific value and will hone in on some of the major pricing differences we see there. Much like DraftKings, the Draftster model has wider range of salaries, offering some fantastic punt-play value. Keep this in mind. Quarterback Matthew Stafford - $5900 What I like about Stafford this week is fairly simple: he is in a must-win game against the Packers that should have the Lions playing from behind. The winner of this game gets the last NFC playoff spot and the Packers are a seven point favorite. Stafford is going to need to throw and throw some more. Granted, he's blown the last couple of weeks. But that's served to lower his price significantly after a couple of big weeks in a row. Green Bay's been an above average team against the pass mostly because they keep the ball in their hands for long stretches. But I think the game flow helps Stafford's fantasy implications this week and he is still operating with the best receiver in the business. Risky for sure, but of the quarterbacks that can put up a 300 yard multi-TD game, he is by far the cheapest. Bargain Bin Specials Case Keenum - $3700 Josh McCown - $3900 Brian Hoyer - $3000 (if he plays) Each of these guys stinks in real life. But there is a price you would play anyone. And for these guys there is a process that could have them in your lineups. They'd be taking the snaps and really like 200 yards and a touchdown from any of them would be...

And for DFSR users, they're prepared to offer you a no-strings attached $5 voucher for one of their games - not to mention their standard 100% bonus up to $200. And now - while their seasons overlap - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our basketball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Quarterbacks Thursday Games Tony Romo - FD 8700 DK 7600 DD 13900 DFSTR Mark Sanchez - FD 7600 DK 6800 DD 12700 DFSTR Thanksgiving features more tough defenses than I can remember in recent memory, so it's with mixed emotions that I present to you two guys who I pretty literally don't believe in at all from a talent perspective. Romo is clearly the safer play - he's got the weapons and the pedigree. But for upside? Sanchez might be your guy. While he could go busto on any given week, saving the extra money in a slate where NO QB is truly "safe," and you sort of need to spend up to find upside elsewhere, I think Sanchez becomes somewhat fascinating. Beyond these two guys, though? I can't picture the case you'd make. Sunday Games Aaron Rodgers - FD 9900 DK 9400 DD 17800 DFSTR Jee-zus. The Pats have been SCARY these last few weeks. So why does Rodgers rank as our safest QB play this week? A bunch of reasons. First, he's gone 2x on this FanDuel price in all but 2 games this season. Second, he's uniquely positioned against the Pats because the Pack isn't nearly as susceptible as many teams to having everything go haywire if their #1 receiver gets shut down. For all the Pats' recent...
