A peek ahead at week 8 Looking for the week 8 picks? Follow the link! I go position by position and give you whom I believe to be the best plays, dollar for dollar, for Week 8's games. This article is going to be a little bit different. Instead, I'm going to focus on particular lineup formation strategies that might help you get some separation from the field and get those value plays and sleepers that will let you spend money elsewhere while cashing in for cheap.   Sleepers Weekly disclaimer: The whole concept of a sleeper in one week fantasy football games needs to be adjusted. First of all, there's no real such thing as a "sleeper," in that you're not really going to sleep on a guy until he wakes up. What you're looking at with cheap plays are guys who are priced very reasonably who could go off if all things break right. Sniffing out the best cheap plays with upside is really the only way to have a chance in hell at taking down some of these utterly massive NFL tournaments. You'll pay up for the big names, and then hope your bargain plays pay off. That's where we come in - here are some sleepers that we love for Week 8. A note on week 8 This doesn't seem like the week to punt away from WR. We give a few options below, but in general, prices are climbing on guys who actually get the ball thrown their way. Jerick McKinnon - FD 5800 DK 4900 DD 8350 DFSTR 3700 I wrote about McKinnon in the week 8 picks and mentioned him in the week 8 podcast, so I'll try not to belabor the point here. It would just be irresponsible not to mention him in any article dealing with great value plays. Darren McFadden - FD 6100...

Want picks for FanDuel, Draftster, and Draftday as well? Check em out. One question I am constantly asking myself is, “Has daily fantasy sports hit its peak?” Based on the revenue projections of FanDuel and DraftKing’s, clearly the sites expect much more participation in the future. As I have mentioned in my previous articles, this is my third year of playing Daily Fantasy sports and every year I see a spike in advertisement and player participation. Recently, I have been playing a lot of poker. I mean a lot. No limit Texas Hold’em specifically, cash game and tournaments. If you didn’t already know, the poker world and the daily fantasy world have melded quite nicely. The competition, the analysis, even the user interface of DraftKings reminds me of a 2014 online poker website (college; those were the days). When playing poker for 8-12 hours in a row, you’ll find yourself in constant conversation about sports; betting lines, the weekend’s big game, the local team’s disappointments (Tampa Bay Bucs and Rays for me). However, every time I bring up daily fantasy to a table of 9-10 players, very little speak up. One out of the ten normally seem to know exactly what I am talking about leaving me to guess they actually have an online account. Another two or three admit to knowing that it exists, but their basic questions show they’ve never actually put together a team. The rest of the table either refuses to take out their headphones or shows genuine interest in something they’ve never heard of before. The fact is that daily fantasy sports HAS NOT reached its peak. In my opinion, not even close. If daily fantasy sports can stay legal under the “fantasy loophole” then I expect to see more and more new players, easier competition, and bigger payouts. I did not post a Thursday article this week for two reasons. Massive amounts of poker being the first while the second was the oddities of last...

This piece will examine some Draftster-specific value as this site tends to quickly adjust prices quickly and severely. This is great news for you as identifying players who are priced as punts is a money-making venture for you. Here we go.   Quarterbacks Joe Flacco - $6300 Our system loves the dollar value on Flacco in a week when separating strong quarterback play from the prices is relatively difficult. He isn’t necessarily a boom or bust guy, though he did boom in a big way last two weeks ago against the Bucs. That won’t happen often/ ever again, but he does offer fairly consistent production and this week faces off against a Bengal team allowing more than 270 yards per game through the air to opposing quarterbacks. The Bengals are struggling and though the Ravens have found some consistency in their run game (see below) I’m still buying Flacco priced well into the second tier. Ryan Tannehill - $7400 Very much falls into the same category for me as Flacco. He’s a guy who won’t necessarily hit the stratosphere in terms of his production, but his week-to-week consistency is just turning into a real thing. Averaging about 240 yards per week through the air along with just a hair under 2 TDs per contest, Tannehill faces a Jags team that shows no real interest in defending the pass. Or even pretending to. It’s sad. Jacksonville allows more the 270 yards per game passing and if you are looking for a quarterback to exceed his season average to date, this might just be the guy. Obviously consider Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers if you can save enough in other spots.  ...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 8 – FanDuel, DraftKings, Draftday, and Draftster

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 8 - FanDuel, DraftKings, Draftday, and Draftster A very weird week in the NFL which had me simultaneously rooting for and against Le'Veon Bell on Monday - ultimately cashing 95% of my cash games and 5% of my GPPs. I feel both gross and great, somehow. I'll stop my ruminating. On to the picks! By the way - we're prepared to send you a free eBook on how the pros set both daily fantasy baseball AND football lineups, free of charge! Check out the details, and get your copies now! Don't make another lineup before reading this book! Each contains crucial mistakes your competitors, and maybe you!, are making. We also have a new partner with a dynamite football product over at Draftster. They're a forward thinking player in this space, and we think they're destined to make some huge waves. They also have a couple thousand bucks in freerolls every week, and they're still small enough that you can get in on the ground floor. And for DFSR users, they're prepared to offer you a no-strings attached $5 voucher for one of their games - not to mention their standard 100% bonus up to $200. Click the banner below to get involved! Ready to make the leap and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks? And try out our partner ScoreStreak for a totally fresh take on fantasy football. You can also check out our week 8 ScoreStreak picks for some solid lineup advice. It's the simplest daily fantasy football game in the world, and it might be your best bet to cash in without trying to do a ton of research. Last thing! The week 8 podcast is live. Hope you enjoy it!   Quarterbacks Andrew Luck - FD 9900 DK 8800 DD 16300 DFSTR 9000 An off week for Luck compared to what we've gotten used to, but an off week for the game's best fantasy quarterback still looks like 300+ yards and 2 touch downs. Luck easily has the lowest floor of any QB this side of Peyton Manning, and he also has the transcendent ceiling to go with it. Now he's the Steel Curtain, which has been parted by such fearsome opposing QBs as Brian Hoyer and Mike Glennon this season. I especially like Luck here given the lack of the effectiveness of the Colts' running...
