Daily Fantasy Picks for Draft Street 12/16/13

A nice little Monday shaping up in the NBA. Eight games on the schedule and a ton of great prices going off in Draft Street. Hope you've been reading and taking using our picks, because if so you've been making money. Take a look back at last night's plays for proof. If you got our five big recs in your lineup, you probably cashed. Let's take a look at tonight's picks.

Guards

Jeff Teague $10,219 - This pick has one of two possible outcomes. Either it looks super savvy and Teague bounces back tonight after a dreadful performance against the Knicks (7 FPPs in 27 minutes for a PG is remarkable, in a "Hey look at that remarkable color of my vomit" kind of way), or this is the last time you'll see him appear on the DFSR picks for a spell. There is no in between. His matchup against a very confused (ing) Lakers team is choice and his price is nearing the bottom of starting point guards. Something has to give. I’m starting him tonight. (RECAP: 33.5 FPPs $$$)

Martell Webster $7,689 - Are you kidding me with this price? I’m legit in shock. Yes there’s a bit of injury concern. And yes, three of his last four games are nothing to write home about. But this price is impossible to ignore. Knicks are about average against shooting guards, but honestly, they could defend the position well and I’d still start Webster. He’s especially enticing in GPPs. I’ll take him in cash games all day long as well.**Editor's note: Bradley Beal may come back today, which would cut into Webster's production. (RECAP: 42.25 FPPs $$$$)

Deron Williams $14,579 - Typically I advocate starting anyone you can against the Sixers. But I’m headed away from that tonight as the prices don’t seem like great values, except Deron and Pierce (see: below). DWill’s been a beast since returning from injury and is averaging close to 29 FPPs in his last three, which includes a blowout win verse the Clips where he sat for long stretches at the end. He’ll take full advantage of the Sixers tonight, and I’m not too concerned about a blowout. (RECAP: 34.5 FPPs $$$)

*If you start these three guards, there’s still a ton of money left over for the rest of the lineup. With a little finagling, you might be looking at two big superstar types in your squad.

Keep an eye on either MCW or Tony Wroten, whoever is starting for PG for Philly

Avoid Brandon Jennings $15,186 - Tony Parker $12,965 - And Magic Guards

Forwards

Paul George $16,678 - I tend to avoid throwing out superstar types in this column, and with George already garnering some (albeit misguided) MVP consideration we can consider him a superstar. But below 17K and against a Piston team that should keep the game close enough, George will be heavy play. This might be the lowest you see his price the rest of the season so don’t miss your chance. (RECAP: 29.25 FPPs $$)

Evan Turner $13,758 - Turner’s last four games have gone something like this: Awesome, s@#$storm, Awesome, abominable s@#%storm.  And that, fair readers, is what you call expert analysis. I have a soft spot for Turner as I’ve been lucky to run him out there on the awesome nights and avoid the turds he’s laid. Tonight against the Nets he fulfills my every-other-night gambler’s fallacy. (RECAP: 16.25 FPPs $)

Keep an eye on and probably start Jared Sullinger $10,545 -  Paul Pierce $10,915 -

Avoid Greg Monroe $14,827 - Blake Griffin $16,768

Center

Center is a mixed bag tonight and I really don’t love the position. Too many question marks. Brook Lopez might be back, but recent injuries worry me. Chris Bosh has a nice price but the Heat might beat the Jazz by 213. I think the best value is…

Spencer Hawes $13,087 - As stated above, Lopez might be a bit gimpy, and if Brook can’t go Hawes gets undersized Reggie Evans or, to a lesser degree Andray Blatche. Though Hawes gets out on the perimeter a bit more than the average center, so size doesn’t play as much of an issue. But expect to see his rebounding get a boost. Hawes can easily put up 30+ FPTs and I think he does it tonight. (RECAP: 12.75 FPPs Yuk)

Keep an eye on the guys mentioned above and Roy Hibbert $14,180

Avoid Andrea Bargnani $10,566 -  Andre Drummond $17,614
