Daily Fantasy NBA Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftStreet for 3/26/14

Hello, my best friends in the whole wide world. Okay, you're not all my best friends. But I feel like we've been through a lot this season, you know? Anyway, we've got a massive slate of games tonight with not a ton of terrific plays. I've outlined the best of the best below, and hope you avoid whatever traps lie in wait on huge nights like tonight!

Point Guards

Jarrett Jack - FanDuel $5,000 DraftKings $5,800 DraftStreet $12,382
It feels weird leading a column with Jarrett Jack, but I'm a pretty weird dude in general. Jack takes on a Detroit team that has given up a startling 20% more FPs than league average vs. opposing PGs, and with Kyrie out, Jack has played very well on this price to begin with. On a night where the expensive PG options are pretty uninspiring, you could do a lot worse than Jack.

Jeff Teague - FanDuel $7,000 DraftKings $7,400 DraftStreet $14,999
Teague is back in early season form, and is taking on Ricky Rubio's matador-esque defense (you love the Spain reference). Minny is giving up 12% more FPs to PGs than league average in their last 2 weeks, and Teague stands to hit the higher end of his extremely consistent recent performance. I'm picturing 35-40 FPs tonight.

Shaun Livingston - FanDuel $4,700 DraftKings $4,300 DraftStreet $9,941
Livingston is one of the most reliable sources of 5x pts/$ going, as FanDuel and company just refuse to acknowledge that he plays 33 minutes a game, and plays them pretty well. He's basically the perfect Double-Up play, and if you have upside elsewhere, I don't mind him for GPPs either.

Deron Williams - FanDuel $7,000 DraftKings $7,100 DraftStreet $13,726
Don't look now, but D-will has paid almost 6x pts/$ on this price 3 times in his last 5 outings. In the other 2 games he laid a total stink bomb. Not for the faint of heart by any means, but Kemba Walker is another offense first PG, and my guess is that the good Williams shows up. Play at your own risk, in any case.

Chris Paul - FanDuel $9,800 DraftKings $10,100 DraftStreet $20,768
CP3 is the only remotely inspiring big ticket point guard, for me. The price is really getting high, but Paul has a very nice match-up regardless of who covers him on the Pels, and the presence of Davis down low shouldn't bother him very much. I'm anticipating a nice game - something like 45-50 FPs - perfect for DUs, nothing to write home about for GPPs.

John Wall - FanDuel $8,700
Say what you want about his home/road splits, but this is a great price against a quick Suns team.

Shooting Guards

Dion Waiters - FanDuel $6,000 DraftKings $7,100 DraftStreet $11,648
Waiters is playing like a star recently - lighting up Toronto last night, and easing right into the feature guard role on Cleveland. The only issue is that this Cleveland team might lose to Waiters' old Syracuse team. But seriously, Waiters is a tremendous play until Kyrie comes back, and I'm loving him against the Pistons.

Tyreke Evans - FanDuel $7,900 DraftKings $7,600 DraftStreet $14,605
'Reke has settled in around this price, and has turned into a pretty steady producer. There's upside and safety in play as the Pels take on the Clips and their league average performance against opposing SGs this year.

Joe Johnson - FanDuel $6,100 DraftKings $6,600 DraftStreet $11,877
JJ had a streak like this earlier this year, and Kidd seems to believe in his production. He's playing more minutes recently, and his production is scaling nicely. The Bobcats allow 5% fewer points to opposing SGs than league average, but JJ should still be good for 30+ FPs.

Marco Belinelli - FanDuel $4,500 DraftKings $4,500 DraftStreet $9,535
Belinelli has been playing very consistently recently, averaging better than 5x this price in his last 6 games. Denver is pretty lousy against opposing SGs (giving up 4% more FPs than league average for the season), and Belinelli has increased upside if the game gets out of hand. Very solid play for DUs and GPPs.

Rodney Stuckey - FanDuel $4,300 DraftKings $4,500
Stuckey has been one of the primary beneficiaries of Jennings' reduced playing time, and has significant upside against a Cleveland team that gives up 4% more FPs to SGs than league average.

Gerald Henderson - FanDuel $5,600
Henderson is far from a consistent play, but if you're hunting for upside, Henderson is very capable of a huge explosion. Brooklyn has been playing better against SGs recently, but is still below average for the season - I'm avoiding him in DUs and playing him in GPPs.

Small Forwards

Luol Deng - FanDuel $6,000 DraftKings $5,900 DraftStreet $12,064
Deng seems to be rounding into fighting shape, and his price still remains depressed from his injury-plagued last few weeks. He draws a phenomenal match up in the indifferent J-Smoove, and this should be a perfect fit for Deng's game. Detroit has given up a pathetic 16% more FPs than league average to SFs in its last 15 games, and Deng should take full advantage.

DeMarre Carroll - FanDuel $5,900 DraftKings $5,100 DraftStreet $10,907
Carroll is an incredibly reliable source of minutes, and seems to thrive against weaker competition. Enter Minnesota, who has been absolutely abysmal in defending the SF position recently. They've given up 6% more FPs to SFs for the season, and a whopping 19% more than league average in their last 15 games. Ripe for the picking for Carroll - love him in this spot.

P.J. Tucker - FanDuel $5,500 DraftKings $4,800 DraftStreet $10,045
Tucker's ankle didn't slow him down a whit against Atlanta, and when his hustle stats are rolling in (11 boards, 3 steals in his last game), he's capable of 30-35 FPs. It's a nice match-up in Washington, and I think Tucker is primed for a very solid performance.

Paul Pierce - FanDuel $5,200 DraftKings $5,500 DraftStreet $10,115
The Truth has a few warts on his game log to be sure, and Charlotte is no slouch against the SF position, but he's also got some 7x performances on the game log to go with the clunkers. He's an upside play, pure and simple - and while he shouldn't be in your DU lineups, he could absolutely be a part of winning GPP teams.

Al-Farouq Aminu - FanDuel $4,200 DraftKings $4,600
Another benefactor of Eric Gordon's absence, Aminu is capable of significant boom or modest bust. A nice play if you want to go heavy on the NO-LAC game.

Power Forwards

Drew Gooden - FanDuel $3,500 DraftKings $4,900
I never thought I'd headline the PFs with Drew Gooden this season, but here I am. The gist is this - the bargain basement price is an absolute joke for Gooden, who hasn't paid less than 6x on this price since his minutes jumped on 3/15. Lock him into your lineups.

Amir Johnson - FanDuel $6,200 DraftKings $6,700 DraftStreet $13,455
Johnson has turned into one of the steadier PF performers, and while FD isn't forcing you to play him simply due to his price, he still remains a terrific option, especially against a Boston team who has, are you ready for this, given up 30% more FPs to opposing PFs than league average in their last 15 games. Terrific play.

Anthony Davis - FanDuel $10,900 DraftKings $10,200 DraftStreet $22,166
Not a controversial play, and not a lot of context is needed here. You're getting a superstar who plays 44 minutes per night in a favorable matchup against the Clips, AND a game where he'll want to lay it down against the flashier Blake. Best big $ play on the board tonight, and it wouldn't be close, except for...

Blake Griffin - FanDuel $10,100 DraftKings $10,000 DraftStreet $20,562
The Blake show is another dude who rises to the occasion in high profile matchups. You think he hasn't noticed all the Brow love recently? He has. He will dunk many times in this game, and could easily put up 50-55 FPs. Like him for DUs and GPPs, and if you can save money elsewhere, I REALLY love stacking him with Davis tonight.

Amar'e Stoudemire - FanDuel $5,400 DraftKings $4,400 DraftStreet $11,445
Amar'e has been steady, if unspectacular recently. I'm writing this before the game against the Lakers - but recently he's been a very nice double-up play at these prices. I'm not totally feeling the upside against Sacramento (who is reasonable against PFs) - but definitely figuring he gets 20-25 FPs.

Paul Millsap - FanDuel $7,900
The so-underrated he's overrated Millsap makes for an interesting play against Minnesota. He's been a little uninspiring recently, but that feels very fluky to me, unless he's hiding an injury or something. The truth is that Millsap is very capable of a 6x explosion against the Wolves.

Kenneth Faried - DraftStreet $14,115
The price creep on Faried isn't quite as severe on Draftstreet - and he could easily produce value on this price against the Spurs tonight.

Centers

Gorgui Dieng - FanDuel $5,100 DraftKings $5,400
Dieng sure seems like a real player, to me. I cracked up when he crushed Sacto, I laughed uncomfortably when he put up 10x against Houston, and I grimaced when he put up 6x+ against Memphis. He's a real player, and has a favorable match-up against the Hawks. Strongest Center play on the board for my money, as odd as it is to say that.

DeMarcus Cousins - FanDuel $9,900 DraftKings $9,700 DraftStreet $21,570
Boog has been back to his old awesome self recently, and while I don't think he has the pure upside of Dieng, I think he's a close 2nd. The ailing Chandler will be dealt all he can handle tonight, and I think Cousins makes the most of this for 50+ FPs.

Timofey Mozgov - FanDuel $4,300 DraftKings $4,000 DraftStreet $8,374
With Hickson dead and buried for the season, Mozgov rates to have a much bigger role and production. Our system liked him even before knowing he would be thrust into greater minutes, so I think he's poised for a very nice run while he's at these depressed prices.

Tiago Splitter - FanDuel $5,400 DraftKings $5,500 DraftStreet $10,966
After a routine game off, Splitter will return to action against a Denver team that has given up 6% more FPs than league average to opposing Centers this season. He's had some very nice games recently, and I think he'll bring extra energy against Denver after the rest.

Marcin Gortat - FanDuel $7,600 DraftKings $6,500 DraftStreet $14,793
If the above options feel a little spooky to you, I present Marcin Gortat. Gortat's minutes are steady, and he's been paying 35+ FPs pretty steadily recently. Utah is no great shakes against Center, and I think Gortat hits the higher end of his range.

Enes Kanter - DraftStreet $9,838
Kanter has been very solid recently, and the price on Draftstreet doesn't reflect it. Very nice value play.
