Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftStreet

You thought NBA was over? No chance. It's the playoffs baby! Still time to get some coin in on the hardwood. We've got some truncated picks for you for that NBA itch you've been needing to scratch.

Quick note about NBA playoff DFS. Gone are the Sixers, Bucks and Lakers of the world to feast on. Only the good teams are left. And the superstars are priced accordingly. The margins are thin here. Tread carefully.

Be sure to sign up for our FanDuel Projection system which is available for the playoffs.  And give a follow on Twitter @dailyfantasysr. Let's get to the picks.

Point Guards

Mike Conley - FanDuel $7,300 DraftKings $7,300 DraftStreet $14,235
I think I'll be spending money other places that point guard today, even though that Curry/ CP3 matchup has me straight giddy to watch. Conley is a case of OKC defending PG slightly worse than league average against point guards. For our purposes, that is enough to consider any PG facing them. Conley is coming off a nice late season run of games that saw him upwards of 20 points more than a few times. He should be able to find places to attack the OKC D. With few available punts, you will need to target midrange guys for your upside. I see Conley as that type of play.

George Hill - FanDuel $4,300 DraftKings $4,700 DraftStreet $9,208
If you are running out double up squads, I'd consider putting Hill in them. His pricetag is low and he gets the minutes. Indiana, I think, will be motivated to end this thing early. I'm playing a bunch of Pacers today as I think Atlanta offers the weakest defense of the teams going. That's one of primary goals, along with getting players in the from the biggest o/u game (see a little below).

Shooting Guards

DeMar DeRozan - FanDuel $7,600 DraftKings $8,000 DraftStreet $14,021 and
Terrence Ross - FanDuel $4,100 DraftKings $4,100 DraftStreet $7,129
I like both of these guys for pretty much the same reason. Brooklyn is about league average in defending the wings and both guys should see their share of shots. The concern here is the slow pace of the game. The problem in recommending anyone else though is their matchups are completely terrible. Klay Thompson could really be put in check, the Nets guys are suspect and Stephenson is really only suited for a tournament play at this point.

Small Forwards

Paul George - FanDuel $8,700 DraftKings $8,800 DraftStreet $15,855
I think he is going to come out thinking he has something to prove. He would be right to think this. These playoffs are important in how George is perceived as a player going forward. His offense has really sputtered at times this season. But he's been able to dial it up here and there. The Hawks have allowed 5% more scoring than league average to opposing small forwards. Getting Durant into your lineup will be super tough. Take option 1A at SF today with George.

Draymond Green - FanDuel $5,200 DraftKings $5,800 DraftStreet $10,601
This is contingent on him starting. As of post, Jackson hadn't announced the starter, he or Jermaine O'Neal. If it's Green, get him into your lineups. This will be a scorching fast game, up and down the court. You'll want to get some low end dollars in on the upside. Green would fit that scenario perfectly.

Power Forwards

Blake Griffin - FanDuel $9,700 DraftKings $9,400 DraftStreet $18,854
I think Blake is where I'll be spending my big money today. Of all the big salary guys, he seems to me, to have the best chance at paying the day. This game will be wide open with tons of scoring. Bogut won't be there pissing him off and David Lee is an atrocious defender. The Warriors don't have much in the way of being able to stop Blake. When I'm ponying up the dollars he'll be my guy.

David West - FanDuel $6,700 DraftKings $6,600 DraftStreet $13,701
Continuing the theme of picking on the Hawks, Millsap and company allowed opposing power forwards to score about 4% more than league average. West has tried to pick up some of Hibbert's slack over the last couple weeks of the season and should continue that here.

Centers

DeAndre Jordan - FanDuel $7,500 DraftKings $7,700 DraftStreet $16,226
This one to me seems obvious. Bogut is out for the Warriors and in the last couple of weeks, with him shelved, the Warriors have been allowing 22% more rebounds than league average to opposing centers. They are going to have a real tough time on the glass with Jordan.

Jonas Valanciunas - FanDuel $6,400 DraftKings $6,200 DraftStreet $13,492
Was a completely different player over the last couple weeks of the season. Part of this was that his minutes were finally there consistently. Not sure if that's a chicken or the egg thing, but the results aren't in dispute. He was crushing. The Nets don't have a legit center down low and their defensive numbers have suffered there. Jonas could grab a bunch of rebounds.

Pero Antic - FanDuel $4,200 DraftKings $4,300 DraftStreet $6,670
You are going to need to save money with these short slates that don’t include any scrub teams. Enter Antic who will be starting for the Hawks. He should give Hibbert some matchup problems around the perimeter. Again, this isn’t an easy call. Antic is one of the worst centers in all the playoffs. But the price is good enough to get some bigger money guys in elsewhere.
