Quarterbacks

Jameis Winston - FD 10200 DK 8400
What's not to like? Catchy nickname, dazzling smile, umm, that whole thing that happened last year. Ok, so there might be things not to like. But he helms the preseason number one ranked team. All joking aside this dude is for real. All signs point to Jameis winning the Heisman and being the first overall pick in the NFL draft so my guess is Mr. Winston and FSU don’t want to do anything to mess that up. He lost his best WR in Benjamin, but I don’t think that will slow him down. Probably not a ton of upside at this price, but the numbers he's capable of putting up justify his lofty price tag. Cash game play all the way.

Dak Prescott - FD 9600 DK 7700
My man pots and pans. Im all Dak'd up on Dak. Another seemingly out of nowhere stud from last year. Not quite Cam Newton, but Dak is big, strong and fast. He runs and throws with consistency. He is also the center of a famous text between me and fellow shark Doug, "good stay away on Prescott. His mom just died." That’s a true story. What's also true is Dak went off Tecmo style the weekend of his moms passing. I'm not sure his game translates to the NFL, but it certainly translates to superb ROI (Return on Investment).

Jeff Driskel - FD 5900 DK 5300
Driskel isn't exactly a fantasy dynamo, but at this price he doesn’t have to be. Florida runs a somewhat controlled offense and doesn’t ask Driskel to do much. The Gators have immense talent in the backfield and very stout D so expectations should be tempered. Still, at $5900 Driskel may pay this price in the first half (before being pulled because its 75-0)

Trevor Knight - FD 8400 DK 6600
The enigmatic Trevor Knight. Early comparisons to Johnny Football and unexpectedly winning the starting gig last year put Knight on the map. Only thing is he was downright awful. I mean slit your throat awful. He ultimately lost the starting job to the Belldozer. Knight got another chance as the starter and hasn’t looked back since. Knight dropped 45 on Bama last year at the Sugar Bowl. Good enough for me! Oh and Belldozer has been moved to TE.

Consider Jameill Showers

Running Backs

Karlos Williams - FD 5400 DK 5500
Love the prices here. FSU has arguably the best O-Line in football and there is no way anyone can stack the box on him with Winston under center. Both lead backs from last year are in the NFL and Williams quietly ran for 730yds and 11 TD's on just 91 carries. Williams is the unquestioned lead back on a team projected to score 900 points per game. Clear eyes, full hearts, Karlos Williams.

Javorius Allen - FD 8100 DK 5000
Silas Redd was last year's starter, got hurt and in came Tre Madden, who did awesome. Madden was injured and in comes Javorius. Allen was scintillating and sensational. He absolutely destroyed opposing defenses, both between the tackles and out of the backfield. This game may be a blowout and USC has a plethora of talented backs. His workload is the only red flag here. My guess if the game gets out of hand Allen had something to do with it.

Keith Ford - FD 6700 DK 4600
I was really, really hoping he would be cheaper. Mixon did his best Ray Ray impression and punched a lady in the face, ya know out of self-defense. Coach Stoops responded by suspending him for the entire season. That means Ford has less competition for carries. His lack of track record coupled with his price has me a little leery, but the upside cannot be ignored in what should be a pretty lethal offense.

Kelvin Taylor - FD 5400 DK 4100
Son of HOF RB Fred Taylor, Kelvin showed some of the moves he inherited from his father last year. He became the starter after a rash of injuries to the other backs. He is still the expected starter even though Jones & Brown are back and healthy (I think). IF and that’s a big IF, Kelvin gets a full load he is a steal at this price. Idaho is really really putrid compared to the Gators so his day may be very limited. 10-12 touches is probably all he needs to payoff.

Consider Texas RB’s. I’m lumping them together because Malcolm Brown and Jonathan Gray are both talents, but they are probably going to split reps. That being said, the Longhorns will run for 1K yards in this one.

Wide Receivers

Rashad Greene - FD 7400 DK 6400
Greene was the go to guy when Winston started doing his thing. Then Kelvin Benjamin took over as the go to guy and Greene's production slipped. KBenj is in the NFL and Greene is back in the WR1 position. With the best QB in the country throwing him the ball, Greene makes a very logical and safe play. I will probably have him in all my lineups

Jameon Lewis - FD 6200 DK 6100
Another human video game. Lewis does it all. He catches. He runs. He returns kicks. He also passes the ball. Lewis was 3 for 3 with 3 TD's passing last year through the air. Small in stature, but big in play making ability. SoMiss is a really bad team and will yield a small fortune to the Bulldog's offense. If it ain't Dak its Lewis. Play em both!!!

Nelson Agholor - FD 7300 DK 6000
This is super juicy. The only problem is USC has a load of capable backs and an unproven QB. Still, I like what Nelson brings to the table. Big and fast, he will dominate the secondary and especially in the Red Zone. You can safely play him, but blowout risk is present. Hopefully Fresno can keep it close considering the loss of Carr and Adams.

Jaydon Mickens - FD 5900 DK 3800
I am a little uncertain what the Huskies offense will look like. Price, Sankey, and Jenkins are all gone. The uncertainty is mitigated by the Rainbow Warriors – really Rainbow? Intimidating I know! Mickens seemed to overtake Kasen Williams last year as the better receiver. Both WR's should make solid plays this week – we’re going with the cheaper guy.

Tight Ends

Nick O'Leary - FD 4900 DK 4400
This one is easy. Jameis throws him the ball. He has great hands. He is a favorite target of Winston in deep and actually has the athleticism to make big plays down the middle too. If your TE is someone different you're doing something wrong (unless it’s the next guy).

Randall Telfer - FD 4300 DK 2000
Very unknown and very unproven. However, new USC coach Sarkisian has a serious track record of using TE's in his offense. This borderline wasted $$$ since we really have no idea what role Telfer will play, but this move allows better players in other slots.
