    Quarterbacks

    Rakeem Cato - FD 10400 DK 8600
Cato is easily the top big money play at QB. There really isn't much to say. He is always a popular and for good reason. He leads a fairly potent offense and has the ability to run when needed. Probably not much upside at this price, but plenty of safety.

    Anthony Boone - FD 7100 DK 7100
Boone is perhaps my favorite value QB for the early slate. He comes with a little risk, but he has been pretty consistent over the past two seasons. I think he slightly underpriced for the production he represents. Like Cato, Boone is a pass first QB with the ability to run. It also doesn't hurt to have a dynamic playmaker like Crowder on the outside. His current price offers decent safety along with significant upside. Im calling 350+ total yards and 3+ TD's.

    Cyler Miles - FD 7200 DK 6300
If you want to save a few hundge Cylis has the goods you seek. Miles missed week one due to off-field issues. Washington's offense struggled scoring only 17 at Hawaii. Back under center last week, Washington dropped 59 on E. Washington, but the defense struggled by allowing 52. Serious risk/reward here. Miles hasn't proven capable of passing with consistency and is still learning the offense. He does, however, bring a mountain of talent to the party. He rushed for 3 TD's and threw for one in his season debut last week. With the way Illinois plays defense the reward outweighs the risk.

    Running Backs

    Jay Ajayi - FD 9500 DK 7600
The all-everything back from potato land. This dude not only dazzles with his wavy dreads, but also with his All-Purpose do everything style. Through two games Ajayi is averaging 26 carries, 8 receptions, 2 TD's, and 230 total yards. Okay really? 34 touches, over 200 yards, and multiple TD's per game. That’s insane volume and he is certainly taking advantage. His price is high on FD, but probably still worth it. On DK the price is real tasty and you can rest assured he is one of the safest backs for the money

    Alex Collins - FD 5800 DK 5600
    Jonathan Williams - FD 4800 DK 5000
If Texas Tech doesn’t know Mr. Collins or Mr. Williams they will come Saturday. Look, Arkansas hasn’t been very good lately nor have they had an offensive line to open up holes for their backs so Collins & Williams do not get the pub they should. The Hogs are known to be a running team and have produced several talented backs that now play on Sundays. Alex Collins is paired with fellow backfield mate, Jonathan Williams, and together they make a pretty solid 1-2 punch. Tech will have its hands full with both backs and certainly feel free to play both. Collins is the lead back and will see more carries. I like both backs to pay their price in what should be a high scoring game led by the Hogs' two-headed rushing attack.

    Matt Dayes - DK 4400
You may not know who Matt Dayes is and I honestly wouldn’t blame you. He almost certainly will not make his hay as an NFL running back, but South Florida doesn’t have many NFL caliber guys on the defensive side of the ball either. There are two things I like about Dayes. One: he's usually good for 4 or 5 receptions per game. Two: he's cheap. Dayes has 3 scores on the year and hopefully he makes it across the goal line again this Saturday. At this price it's tough to go wrong. I will gladly play him across the board in order to squeeze higher priced guys in at other spots.

Alert: Thomas Tyner is curiously cheap at $5500 on DK - value play of the day potential

    Wide Receivers

    Devin Funchess - FD 7500 DK 6700
Michigan was shut out last week and Funchess still managed almost 20pts. Essentially, he is the their entire receiving corp. The Devin Connection is growing stronger by the week and in a landscape of uncertainty at the wide receiver position Funchess provides some relief. The Wolverines are playing Miami Ohio this week so you can safely expect they will want to make amends in front of the home crowd for the debacle against Notre Dame. Few options this week have a better chance to get in the end zone than Devin Funchess.

    Bradley Marquez - FD 6100 DK 6500
This price is still way too low for the top wide out in an Air Raid offense. Last week Marquez only hauled in 3 passes for a total of 33 yards. Good thing they all went for TD's. In two games he has totaled 14/217/5 – that’s a ridiculous average (though probably unsustainable). Texas Tech doesn’t have the defense to shut teams down so they usually get a full run offense and that means heavy volume for their wide outs. If you're a glass is half empty kind of guy and don’t think he will score again since he already had five on the year. Well, I'd rather be the guy that played him when he fails to reach the end zone opposed to the guy that passes on him when breaks the plain multiple times.

    Matt Miller - FD 7300 DK 5600
Jay Ajayi is the man in Boise and Miller himself would probably agree to that. However, the next guy in line is Miller and with the Boise offense there is enough opportunity for two. He finished last year at a torrid pace and seems to have picked up where he left off minus the TD rate. Last week Miller topped the 100yd barrier and scored for the first time this year. UConn is nothing to fret about so I expect Miller to top 100 and/or score. His price continues to be below market value on DK and he makes an excellent value play there. Still consider him on FD, but the price is a bit more.

    Justin Hardee - FD 5200 DK 3900
One of the tricks to building a successful lineup is finding punt options that offer a significant deal of upside. Hardee fits that mold perfectly. Last week he finished with 6/110/1 line, good for 26 points (FD scoring). Illinois appears to be a pass happy team or at least it seems that way on paper. They do have multiple options so Hardee is far from a safe bet, but at this price it’s a bet you can afford to make. This could be a wild game and you may see a crazy score when it's all said and done. If that happens then Hardee happens.

    Tight Ends

Having to pick TE's every week is like driving through a school zone when you're late for work. Intensely frustrating and yet inevitable. Oh how I miss you Jace Amaro.

    Eric Frohnapfel - FD 4300
Lets start with who's throwing him the ball. Rakeem Cato. Cato looks at his TE's a fair amount. Froh opened the season as a first year starter hauled in two TD's. He didn't play last week, but appears to be okay. Proceed with caution and check news.

    Gerald Christian - FD 3900 DK 3900
He's at least relevant in the Louisville offense. Gardner is replacing Teddy Bridgewater and young QB's use their safety valves more than others. Christian isn't a bad option.
