Cheat sheets for fantasy college football on FanDuel and Draftkings

Listen - it'd be nearly impossible to create a whole projection system for college football, but Casey is willing to sell his cash game lineups through DFSR.

If you want to see how these plays and some others fit into lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings you can purchase a CFB pack that includes three FanDuel lineups, three DraftKings lineups, and a cheatsheet with analysis on a variety of other plays for $5 by clicking the PayPal button below. This service is separate from our NFL projection system.

Quarterbacks

P.J. Walker - DK 5900
I am not totally sure what Walker has done to upset the DFS algorithm gods, but his price is once again well below value. Temple is coming off a bye week so they should be well rested and well prepared to face a shaky Tulsa team. Tulsa ranks 121st against the pass, so Walker should have little issue moving the ball through the air. Don’t forget he adds a little sizzle with his feet too. The only negative about Walker this week is he isn’t available on Fanduel. My guess is Walker won’t be the highest scoring QB, but he should be one of the best value plays at the position.

Everett Golson - FD 9000 DK 8200
Golson and the Irish are coming off a gutsy performance in their quality win over Stanford. This week they get the for North Carolina. This has the makings of a letdown game with Florida State up next, but NC is just that bad. College is a little bit different whereas one slip up can cost you a shot at the title. Nevertheless you should mildly consider the Irish come out flat. I'm holding on to the thought that if the Irish do come out flat it will simply mean more Golson will do with his feet. Slow start or not, Golson one of your best options this Saturday.

Brad Kaaya - FD 5900 DK 6600
Kaaya probably isn’t a cash game play, but I wanted to bring you something a little different. Other than people reading this article I’m not sure anyone will be playing Kaaya, which is perfect for us. Cincinnati has been atrocious on defense, both against the pass (124th) and run (120th). Kaaya is cheap, super cheap. Certainly a volatile play, but Kaaya just may be part of the winning tourney lineup this Saturday.

Running Backs

Anthone Taylor - FD 7600
Taylor has 72 carries for 441 yards and 6 scores over the past two games. That’s some seriously sick volume. Now the Buffalo Bulls take on the 114th ranked run defense of Eastern Michigan. That’s a hefty workload for a back, but it’s not totally uncommon in the college game. Buffalo should once again rely on the uber productive Taylor. I guess it’s a bit much to expect another 200+ three score game, but shucks, why not. Go Bulls.

Samaje Perine - FD 7800 DK 6000
Who is this cat? A couple weeks ago he made his first start for injured starter Keith Ford. Samaje went off for 242/4. After a week off, Perine took on the stout run defense of TCU and finished with an 87/3 stat line. His YPC was down, but he got the rock 25 times and was the main option inside the 10. This week the Sooners prepare for the 2014 Red River rivalry game. The Longhorns are down this year, but these games have a tendency to be close. Regardless, with Ford still on the sidelines its quite obvious how the Sooners will use Perine. You guessed it. Early and often and especially at the goal line. Perine is going to sail down this year's Red River rivalry in a yacht.

Melvin Gordon - FD 11100 DK 8600
Guess who’s back? Melvin’s back. Back again. Gordon has been absolutely sensational the past few games. In the last three games Gordon has totaled 693 rushing yards and 8 scores. He did this on 72 carries. Uhhh, that’s 9.6 YPC over a three game stretch, which included Northwestern who was holding opponents under 3 YPC. Here’s another stat, over the past three games, Melvin scored every 9th rushing attempt or approximately 11% of his carries went for scores. Now past performance does not guarantee future results, but if I can snag a guy that has that kind of stuff and gets to take on a weak Illini defense (111th against the run) at home. You bet your sweet ass I'll do it.

Update: With Todd Gurley' suspension, Nick Chubb makes an excellent plug-and-play at the minimums.

Wide Receivers

Kevin White - FD 8300 DK 8600
I want to apologize for taking the highest salaried receiver on the board. It’s unoriginal and reeks of obvious, but hey, points are points. Even at his current sky high price tag, White stands to exceed expectations. Vegas says this game is going to be high scoring and what Vegas says happens. Unlike the Texas Tech Raiders, WVU doesn’t spread the ball around quite as much, but they still air it out often. The Mountaineers have been fairly impressive this year losing tough games to Alabama and Oklahoma. Tech doesn’t offer nearly as much defense as those other schools, but does bring some offense. This game should be back and forth all day and Tech doesn’t have anyone that can really matchup up with White on the outside. Expensive, but worth it.

Jakeem Grant - FD 7000 DK 7200
White’s counterpart. Grant should too have an exceptional day. As I mentioned above, Tech spreads the ball around a bit, but Grant sees the most consistent targets. If I forgot to mention this game is supposed to be high scoring. Grant is not always a lock to score, but he still pays the day with his volume. You have to love a guy that typically pays off without scoring because when he does score Grant crushes his number. This game offers as good an opportunity as any for Grant.

Jalen Fitzpatrick - DK 4800
Fitzpatrick makes for a real solid play today. As mentioned in the Walker spot, Tulsa is ugly bad at stopping the pass and Temple really only has one receiver. Jalen has been consistent all year and should have no issues continuing that consistency again this week at the Linc. He has only gone over 100 once this year (last game vs Conn), but has scored in all four contests. Tulsa is going to have trouble stopping Walker and he looks Fitzpatrick’s way often. Two Temple guys in one article – sheesh.

Tight Ends

Maxx Williams - FD 3900 DK 3000
Williams is a guy I will look to target on DK. Maxx has an 8/104/3 stat line over his last three games. Mind blowing I know, but that’s about as good as it gets. Look, TE is such a vast wasteland of lost fantasy hope, so don’t be afraid to plug in the “best guy” that fits your money needs.

Consider:
Dan Vitale, Clive Walford, David Grinnage
