Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Saturday Early 11/7/15

Another packed Saturday in college football land. Some really high scoring games could be coming your way.

We're also selling lineups for every CFB slate. This week they include 1 DraftKings and 2 FanDuel lineups. They are $5 and are separate from our membership subscription. This season of our 69% of our FanDuel lineups have moneyed in cash games, and one won the FanDuel Redshirt tournament. Meanwhile 60% of our DraftKings lineups have hit in cash games. Don't miss out.

Quarterback

Trevone Boykin
I get it, Boykin oozes fantasy greatness and everyone in the DFS world knows. That said, he’s crazy expensive and with salary based lineups you can’t just drop 24% of your salary on one guy lightly. As the season goes on pricing begins to catch up to production reducing the amount value across the entire salary spectrum. The middle tier players no longer offer the same safety as they did in the early going. This creates a scenario where getting away from Boykin to save the dough doesn’t always improve your overall lineup. That was really just a long winded way of saying Boykin is the best in the business and even at such a salary offers more safety than any other player on the board. A track meet a cometh.

Greg Ward Jr.
Ward is my secret man crush and boy has he disappointed me the past two weeks. A couple weeks ago you can argue he just ran cold considering the amount of scoring Houston did, but last week he simply wasn’t very good. I didn’t dismiss Vandy’s defense going into last week, but it appears I still didn’t give them enough credit. Ward is the only reason you would get away from Boykin and I am more than willing to take my chances that Ward bounces right back to his normal productive self. Houston sits as 8pt home favorites over Cincinnati with a total in the low 70’s. It’s hard to say if peeps will be off of Ward due his minor slump, but if they are he could prove to be the GPP play of the day.

Running Back

Wendell Smallwood
At first glance I didn’t feel there was a ton of solid options at running back, but as I consumed and digested every ounce of statistical data I’ve come around to the group. The difficulty I see with this slate isn’t so much finding decent plays at running back, it’s having the money to roster them. Spending up at QB, which I feel is the best cash game approach, makes it more difficult to spend at running back, but the punt options are few. Smallwood doesn’t garner the attention of the big boys, but he has put together a fairly consistent game log. This game has all the ingredients for the Mountaineers best and most consistent offensive weapon to reach value. WVU has lost 4 straight coming into this game and sit as 8pt home favorites with a total pushing 80. Smallwood’s counterpart, DeAndre Washington, could also be a nice way to go.

DeAndre Washington
Yup, he’s a good way to go. Washington is having one of his most consistent rushing season in terms of production and more importantly volume. Tech is known for spreading it out and they certainly have a plethora of receivers to do just that, but they have too many for us DFS guys. Outside of Grant & Washington it’s hard to figure out who will benefit from this potent offense. Typically I avoid running backs who are playing as underdogs, but with a total near 80 there should be more than enough scoring by both teams. His ability to catch out of the backfield increases his floor a bit, but more importantly it keeps him on the field all 3 downs and keeps him involved in the game plan regardless of game flow.

Wide Receiver

Josh Doctson
Kolby Listenbee

My goodness he is expensive, but my goodness is he consistently awesome. TCU as a whole is the perfect fantasy offense. They have a seemingly stopless due in Boykin to Doctson and a seemingly stopless defense. Tons of injuries to the defense is mostly to blame, but who cares right. Well, I care about the health and well being of the players, but who cares about why their defense is bad. Just know they are bad and it forcers TCU to throttle it up every game. Doctson is arguably the #1 NFL draft prospect at the position. NFL talent typically dominates at the college level and Doctson has shown nothing to disprove that theory. He dominates. Week in and week out, he dominates the opposing secondary. Nothing should be any different this week. He’s expensive, but his floor is still one of the highest on a per dollar basis. Kolby Listenbee is pretty talented himself, but people want to see the bull and not the rodeo clown. His value rivals Doctson, but he is considerably cheaper making him outstanding value on both sites. Strongly consider both of these guys as your lead wingmen for your receiver squadron.

Gabe Marks
Dom Williams
River Cracraft

Now that I just dorked it out with a squadron reference which could be parlayed into a Vultron or Star Wars reference I will reel it in and get back to business. Washington State likes to pass. If you don’t believe me you can look it up, they have their own Wikipedia page. If you just searched that please just scroll to the bottom and purchase the lineups. Seriously though, the Cougars are all about the pass and they have the talent to execute. They also offer the amount of volume that makes their big three receivers are potential receiver options. Teams and systems like this present a strong case for stacking multiple receivers as a sound cash game strategy. Washington State and their bevy of talented receivers have proven they can move the ball against some of the best defenses in the country. Arizona State is not one of the best defenses in the country. Cougar Stack Attack.

Tight End

Jake Duzey
FanDuel has offered up petitions to help support the DFS cause, which I have gladly offered my support, but I feel that I should in turn begin a petition to remove the TE position. I would much prefer to select a defense or even a kicker opposed to a college a tight end. They haven’t figured out sifting through this pile of fantasy garbage is similar to that moment you realize your freshman dorm mate sucks and it’s only been 5 minutes into the semester. Please get rid of this wasted roster spot. I honestly don’t have little advice except they are all bad investments so pick the cheapest stock.
