Welcome to the daily fantasy hockey picks article for DraftKings, FanDuel, and DraftPot for Saturday, December 19th, 2015. The Saturday night slate has 8 games due to the two games (CHI vs. BUF & CGY vs. STL) which are being played Saturday afternoon. It is definitely a night of value goaltenders which will provide us with many options for GPP tournaments. There are goalies making spot starts, filling in for injured starters, and rookies making their NHL debuts tonight.

Below you will find a few core plays at each position for Saturday nights games.

Goaltenders

Semyon Varlamov - Colorado Avalanche vs. EDM *Confirmed*
DraftKings - $7,300 FanDuel - $9,500 DraftPot - 5.70 DPPG

The Avs are at home in Saturday night's late game as -150 favorites to the visiting Oilers. While the Avs have struggled a bit at home this year so have the Oilers on the road. The Avs are currently riding a four game win streak and have won 7 of their last 10 games on the back of Varlamov's stellar play between the pipes. He has picked up wins in 7 of his last 8 games and has pushed his save % to .917 for the season. He is safe in all formats.

Matthew Murray - Pittsburgh Penguins vs. CAR *Probable*
DraftKings - $6,000 FanDuel - $N/A DraftPot - 3.00 DPPG

He makes is probable to make his NHL debut on Saturday night. He is only available on DraftKings and DraftPot and makes a fantastic punt play for GPP's. Murray has been excellent for the AHL Penguins going 12-4 with a 1.84 GAA and .938 save percentage. Both of these teams have been struggling but Pittsburgh definitely has more star power to turn their season around and it might start tonight with a fresh rookie between the pipes.

Also Consider - Jonathan Quick - Los Angeles Kings @ TOR

CENTER

Matt Duchene - Colorado Avalanche vs. EDM
DraftKings - $6,100 FanDuel - $8,90 DraftPot - 3.55 DPPG

The Avs have been red hot lately winning four straight and 7 of their last 10 games. It has been the secondary scoring options carrying the offense lately keeping the salaries of line #1 to an affordable level. Tonight could very well be the night they break out at home vs. the Oilers playing their 4th road game this week. Duchene comes in as the best value on DraftKings and for the season has recorded 28 points.

Stack with - Gabriel Landeskog, Nathan Mackinnon

Mikael Granlund - Minnesota Wild @ NSH
DraftKings - $4,500 FanDuel - $5,700 DraftPot - 3.25 DPPG

If you are looking to save on the 2nd Center spot, Granlund makes a fine choice. He is a setup machine who has picked up 7 assists in his previous 9 games and now has 16 on the season. His floor has been high averaging close to 3 shots on net a game over the last few weeks and provides upside centering a line with Zach Parise and Jason Pominville.

Stack with - Zach Parise, Jason Pominville, Ryan Suter

Also Consider - Claude Giroux - Philadelphia Flyers @ CBJ

WINGERS

Jakub Voracek - Philadelphia Flyers @ CBJ
DraftKings - $5,700 FanDuel(LW) - $7,400 DraftPot - 3.15 DPPG

The Flyers are climbing the standings after a slow start and have won two straight and own a 7-2-1 record over their last 10 games. The turn around can be credited to the offense finally kicking it up a gear. Voracek, himself, had a slow start to the season but has been cruising lately with a 3 game point streak and is a solid value tonight in a projected high scoring game.

Stack with - Claude Giroux, Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds

Patrick Sharp - Dallas Stars vs. MON
DraftKings - $6,400 FanDuel(RW) - $7,100 DraftPot - 2.93 DPPG

During Friday's practice, coach Lindy Ruff moved Sharp back on the top line with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. This alone boosts his value, even in a tough matchup vs. the Canadiens. Sharp is ranked in the Top 30 in iCorsi/60 with an average of 17.7. He is the cheapest member of a very high powered line and is safe in all formats Saturday.

Stack with - Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, Jason Spezza, John Klingberg

Kyle Palmieri - New Jersey Devils vs. ANH
DraftKings - $4,600 FanDuel(RW) - $4,100 DraftPot - 3.68 DPPG

He continues to provide value at a very low cost and is one the top PTS/$ players in the projections on a daily basis. He has 25 points on the year with a +3 rating and 83 shots on goal. He has added an additional 21 minutes in penalties which are a bonus on FanDuel. He makes a nice salary relief to help roster multiple high end fantasy producers.

Also Consider - Dale Weise - Montreal Canadiens @ DAL

DEFENSE

Sami Vatanen - Anaheim Ducks @ NJ
DraftKings - $5,000 FanDuel - $5,900 DraftPot - 3.33 DPPG

He has been a very consistent fantasy producer with a nice floor lately. He has picked up seven points with 25 shots on goal in the last 10 games and is coming off a game in which he picked up eight shots. He gets over 20 min of ice time and close to 3 min of that is on the powerplay. He makes a nice mid tier D man Saturday night.

Ryan Suter - Minnesota Wild @ NSH
DraftKings - $5,900 FanDuel - $4,200 DraftPot - 3.38 DPPG

He is my favorite D play on FanDuel every game the Wild play as his price is extremely under priced. He has 24 points on the year and contributes in the peripheral stats as well. He has added 54 blocked shots(bonus on DraftKings) and 75 shots on goal. He is a must play on FanDuel and a GPP play on DraftKings and DraftPot.

Also Consider - Justin Faulk - Carolina Hurricanes @ PIT
