Welcome to the daily fantasy hockey picks article for DraftKings, FanDuel, and DraftPot for Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015. It is the last night of games before the Christmas break. There are 10 games tonight with the following teams playing on back to back nights:

Lets take a look at some of the top plays for Tuesday night. Merry Christmas everyone!

Goaltenders

Roberto Luongo - Florida Panthers @ OTT *Probable*
DraftKings - $8,000 FanDuel - $8,900 DraftPot - 4.72 DPPG

The Florida Panthers are home favorites on Tuesday night and looking to push their win streak to five games. Luongo has picked up three straight wins himself and will look to turn the table on the Senators who scored three times and beat Luongo two weeks ago. He makes a nice high end GPP play on Tuesday.

Jimmy Howard - Detroit Red Wings vs. NJ *Probable*
DraftKings - $7,400 FanDuel - $8,300 DraftPot - 4.48 DPPG

He is coming off of three straight overtime losses in which he made at least 35+ saves  in each game. He has pushed his save percentage to .922 for the season to go along with has 7-4-4 record. The Red Wings are in a nice spot on Tuesday as -18 favorites to the visiting Devils making Howard safe in all formats.

Also Consider - Ben Bishop - Tampa Bay Lightning vs. VAN

 

CENTER

Henrik Zetterberg - Detroit Red Wings vs. NJ
DraftKings - $6,200 FanDuel - $7,000DraftPot - 3.40 DPPG

He has been a consistent option for the Red Wings, especially at home where they own a 11-6-4 record. He has recorded points in 6 of his last 7 games and has been averaging over 3 shots on goal per game over the last couple weeks. Detroit is one of the leagues top puck possession teams and can still flash offensive upside, especially on home ice.

Stack with - Dylan Larkin, Justin Abdelkader, Niklas Kronwall

Mark Sheifele
DraftKings - $5,100 FanDuel - $6,200 DraftPot - 3.50 DPPG

He is a player that the projection loves almost every time the Jets are playing. He is again  projected for over 3.00 points on both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight and can get to that point in a few different ways. He provides a nice floor as he averages 15.5 iCorsi/60 which has produced around 3 shot on goal per game. He also sits with 22 points in 33 games and has added a +11 rating. He makes a safe option in cash games and has the multi point upside needed for GPP tournaments.

WINGERS

Johnny Gaudreau - Calgary Flames vs. WPG
DraftKings - $6,500 FanDuel(LW) - $8,900 DraftPot - 4.95 DPPG

The Flames have been hot lately winning 7 out of their last 10 games and are a far better team on home ice. That will be the case on Tuesday night as they host the Winnipeg Jets who rank 26th in goals allowed per game. Johnny Hockey has been red hot lately with 13 points in his last 10 games and has incredible road/home splits. In 13 home games he has recorded 24 points, 38 shots, and a whopping +15 rating. In 18 road contests he has only recorded 10 points, 46, and a disappointing -10 rating. He is a must play every game on home ice, especially in elite matchups like tonight.

Stack with - Sean Monahan, Jiri Hudler, TJ Brodie

Nikita Kucherov - Tampa Bay Lightning vs. VAN
DraftKings - $5,900 FanDuel(RW) - $6,400 DraftPot - 4.15 DPPG

He has is getting close to his 2014/15 pace where he picked up 65 points. The struggles early on have been a direct result of a lack of offense and poor powerplay. They are finally starting to trend in the right direction and so is Kucherov. He has 10 points in his last 8 games and is really starting to thrive with Steven Stamkos. Vancouver has been a struggling team, especially on the road, and puts the Lightning offense in a great spot Tuesday night.

Brad Marchand - Boston Bruins vs. STL
DraftKings - $6,400 FanDuel(LW) - $8,300 DraftPot - 3.90 DPPG

He makes a terrific cash game play in a tough matchup vs. the Blues. He provides a high floor as he is very close to a point per game player and picks up peripheral stats when not picking up points. He averages 16.5 iCorsi/60 which has produced 98 shots on the season. The upside is limited and is probably a better play on DraftKings where is price is still under $6,500.

Also Consider - Kyle Palmieri - New Jersey Devils @ DET

DEFENSE

Aaron Ekblad - Florida Panthers vs. OTT
DraftKings - $4,900 FanDuel - $5,700 DraftPot - 2.68 DPPG

A mid range option on the point that the projection system loves tonight for around 3 fantasy points on both FanDuel and DraftKings. He is a young guy who made the jump from junior straight to the NHL and has enjoyed success averaging over 20 min of ice time per game. He makes a great cash game play as the offensive upside is limited in Florida. He has 6 points in his last 8 games with 20 shots and a +8 rating.

Dustin Byfuglien - Winnipeg Jets @ CGY
DraftKings - $6,400 FanDuel - $8,100 DraftPot - 3.75 DPPG

If you are paying up for defense tonight, Byfuglien makes a great option. He has a nice floor as he averages 16.2 iCorsi/60 which has produced 113 shot on goal for the season. He is also coming off a game in which he fired 10 shots on goal. He has 9 points in his last 10 games and will carry multi point upside into a matchup vs. the Flames ranked 30th in goals allowed per game(3.36).

Also Consider - Kevin Shattenkirk - St. Louis Blues @ BOS
