Welcome back to another night of daily fantasy hockey with DFSR. We a nice big 10 game slate in the NHL tonight with tons of value for daily fantasy. There are several top goalies in action tonight with elite matchups. At this point in the day there are only 3 goalies (Bernier, Neuvirth, Korpisalo) who are confirmed so be sure to check out LeftWingLock before finalizing your lineups.

I have started interacting through the comment section and answering questions about lineups, strategy and just about anything you wanna talk about. I pop in and out throughout the day and will be active for about an hour leading up to lineup lock at 7:00 pm ET.

Let's dig in to the action and find some core plays for tonight.

Goaltenders

Roberto Luongo
Opponent - ARI
FD - 9100 DK - 8200

Luongo has been mediocre since the All Star break with five straight games allowing 3+ goals against. He brok e out of the slump last time out saving 29 of 30 shots in a 3-1 win over the Jets. This should kick start his second half and the Panthers quest to the playoffs. He has been excellent this year overall with a 25-14-5 record and .925 save percentage.

Jonathan Quick
Opponent - EDM
FD - 8600 DK - 8400

He gets a great matchup tonight as the Kings are home favorites to the Oilers. In three previous meetings this year Quick has beat the Oilers stopping 90 of 97 shots in all. He has had Edmontons number in his career with a 17-1-5  record with a .937 save percentage. He is a great option in any format tonight.

Also Consider -  Cory Schneider - New Jersey Devils @ CBJ

CENTER

Tyler Seguin
Opponent - WPG
FD - 7600 DK - 8600

His salary has dropped off on both sites and presents a tremendous window for some elite DFS value. His best value will come on FanDuel where he will cost only 14% of your salary cap vs. 17% on DraftKings. He provides a high floor as he averages around 3.5 shots on goal per game and carries multi point upside into every matchup. In his last 9 games he has tallied 11 points with 6 coming with the man advantage. I haven't even mentioned his matchup tonight vs. the Jets who rank 25th in goals allowed per game.

Stack with - Jamie Benn, Patrick Sharp

Jeff Carter
Opponent - EDM
FD - 6400 DK - 5800

When looking at even strength lines, the Kings have shuffled things around a bit lately. One thing has remained the same lately and that is the powerplay. He is skating with Kopitar and Toffoli on the top PP unit which has been converting at over a 25% clip in February. While the offense has gone a bit cold for Carter(5 points in last 10 games) his floor has remained fairly high as he averages close to 4 shots on goal per game.

Stack with - Tyler Toffoli, Dwight King, Anze Kopitar(PP)

Also Consider - Artem Anisimov - Chicago Blackhawks vs. NSH

WINGERS

Daniel Sedin
Opponent - OTT
FD - 7800 DK - 6500

The projection system is in love with Daniel tonight. While I don't believe he will put up another 3 point game, he is in a terrific matchup and great spot to continue his current point streak. He now has points in five straight games including two multi point games for the Canucks. He is now up to 56 points on the year and is a very consistent fantasy option. Safe in all formats tonight.

Stack with - Henrik Sedon, Jannik Hansen

Kyle Palmieri
Opponent - CBJ
FD - 5000 DK - 5300

If you are looking a good mid range value, Palmieri makes a option. He has been very consistent lately with five points in his last 10 games including 27 shots and 17 blocks. The Devils are the lowest scoring team in the league so he won't record many multi point games but is a terrific cash game play.

Stack with - Reid Boucher, Travis Zajac

Also Consider - Johnny Gaudreau - Calgary Flames vs. NYI

DEFENSE

Jake Muzzin
Opponent - EDM
FD - 5200 DK - 5300

The Kings are loaded with talent on the back end. You can pay up for Doughty or go value with Martinez. Tonight I prefer settling right in the mid range with Muzzin. The Kings get a great home matchup tonight as the Oilers come to town. Muzzin has tallied 6 points(3 on the PP) in his last 10 games including 30 shots on goal and 18 blocks. He is a safe option in any format tonight.

Michael Stone
Opponent - FLA
FD - 3700 DK - 4600

He has been a tremendous value play for the Coyotes lately. He has picked up 8 points in his last 10 games along with 18 shots, 21 blocks, 2 PP points, and a +4 rating. He will be a GPP play only tonight as the Yotes face a tough matchup o the road in Florida.

Also Consider - Justin Faulk - Carolina Hurricanes @ TOR

  1. Stacking the Stars top line just became a little cheaper as Nich is skating with Seguin/Benn at morning skate.

  2. Be very careful with playing Canucks players tonight. Daniel is a decent play because of his high shot volume but I wouldn’t start anyone else in cash because of the fact that Anderson is red hot right now. I’m playing Daniel because he’s well Daniel. Good call on the starts too line Chris. Hutch is starting for peg city and he’s due to let in about 7 goals. Play klingberg also I cash and gpps. I didn’t have a spot left for palmeiri so I am playing Reid Boucher at LW for nj. 3800 on FD and prob almost minimum on DK. He’s on palmeiri’s line. He let me fit Seguin and Daniel in. For goalie it’s luongo all day for me. Not even thinking twice about it. Let’s go get em folks

  3. Or Blandisi at same price . Depends which jersey line u like. And I love jagr at 5800.

  4. Jagr is almost a must play most nights in cash. Always contributing somehow. I love the value Devils for cash as well. Rarely us in GPP’s as they just don’t score much.

  5. Exactly. I like Dallas so much tonight that I’m using nishkushin and Seguin on line 1 and Spezza also from line 2. Also klingberg. That’s aggressive for cash games but the jets are a huge mess and take a lot of stupid penalties. And yes jagr is a must for cash at this price point. I’ll still update u on new guys for the system. I enjoy doing that especially now when a lot of new guys will be appearing regularly

  6. Oops I forgot about quickie. He’s 500$ cheaper. I don’t usually do this but I prob will split my cash games in half with quick and bobby Lou

  7. Blandisi is on 3rd line now don’t use him. I changed my mind I’m playing jokinen and jagr together for cash games because the other lines don’t look good, here’s what I’m going with tonight for my cash lineup
LW Boucher jokinen RW jagr Spezza C Seguin Kopitar D klingberg stone and G half luongo half quickie. I’m liking how I got it to work out

  8. Good luck tonight. I gotta peace out and finish lineups quick and go on a BEER RUN

  9. BEER RUNNER!!!! Ya man. U too good luck. Ha Boucher owned by almost nobody gets me a goal
