Welcome back to another night of daily fantasy hockey with DFSR. It's trade deadline day in the NHL and while most of the contending teams have already made some big moves, there is still some guys with fantasy impacting that could get moved today so stay tuned. There are six games tonight with some excellent matchups for potential fantasy production.

With so much going on today be sure to join me in the comments section below as I will keep you updated with trades and confirmed starting goalies for tonight's action.

Goaltenders

Antti Raanta
Opponent - CBJ
FD - 7900 DK - 7000

King Henrik will get the night off on Monday giving Raanta a shot to start in a great mathcup. He gets to face the Blue Jackets who rank 20th in league scoring and own one of the worst road records in the league. The Rangers made a big splash at the deadline acquiring Eric Staal from the Hurricanes improving their already elite status in the Eastern Conference.

Andrei Vasilevskiy
Opponent - TOR
FD - 7900 DK - 7900

With the Lightning playing on back to back nights, Vasilevskiy should get the start in Toronto this evening. He has been a terrific backup to Ben Bishop this season and has tallied a 8-1 record in his last 9 starts with a .911 save % and a shutout. The Bolts are red hot right now winning six straight games and should have no problem with Leafs who have packed it in months ago. Terrific GPP play tonight.

Also Consider -  Marc-Andre Fleury - Pittsburgh Penguins vs. ARI

CENTER

Steven Stamkos
Opponent - TOR
FD - 8600 DK - 7200

As mentioned above, The Bolts have won six straight games. Not one player has made a bigger impact in that time than Stamkos. He has scored in six straight games and has multiple points in two of his last three games. It does not appear is going anywhere today at the trade deadline and should keep producing at an elite level going forward.

Stack with - Alex Killorn, Ryan Callahan

Alex Galchenyuk
Opponent - SJ
FD - 4900 DK - 4700

While he isn't skating on the top line anymore he is still producing and provides excellent fantasy value under $5K on both sites. He has scored three goals in his last two games and will look to take that confidence into San Jose tonight to face the Sharks who are playing on back to back nights.

Stack with - Sven Andrighetto, Lars Eller

Also Consider - Claude Giroux - Philadelphia Flyers vs. CGY

WINGERS

Johnny Gaudreau
Opponent - PHI
FD - 8800 DK - 7300

Normally I only like mentioning Johnny Hockey when the Flames are at home as he has drastic home/road splits this season. He is red hot lately, making it impossible to fade in a good matchup vs. the Flyers. He is coming off a three point game and has points in seven straight and is now up to 65 points on the season. He is getting a little pricey on FanDuel but makes a great GPP play on both sites. We will have to wait and see who is skating with after morning skate as the Flames have traded Jiri Hudler.

Stack with - Sean Monahan,

Valeri Nichushkin
Opponent - DET
FD - 3500 DK - 3900

He has been bouncing around between lines trying to find his spot on the Stars and has been fairly successful while doing so. He has points in three straight games and is coming off a game in which he scored vs. the Rangers on a season high seven shots on goal. His salary is dirt cheap and is safe in any format in a tough matchup vs. the Red Wings.

Stack with - Ales Kemsky, Mattias Janmark

Also Consider - Kris Kreider - New York Rangers vs. CBJ

DEFENSE

Kris Letang
Opponent - ARI
FD - 7400 DK - 6900
Brent Burns
Opponent - MON
FD - 6800 DK - 7900

There are two elite fantasy D men playing tonight and if you play both sites you can play both tonight. Letang is $1000 cheaper on DraftKings while Burns gets the discount on FanDuel. Both provide safe floors with tons of shots and huge multi point upside. In the past 10 games Letang has tallied 11 points on 33 shots and added 14 blocks, 16 PIMs and a +1 rating. Burns has only recorded seven points in his last 10 games but added 47 shots and a +3 rating. Get them in your GPP lineups and expect low ownership as their are some nice value options on the back end tonight.

Michael Stone
Opponent - PIT
FD - 3800 DK - 4700

One of those value options is Stone who has tallied eight points in his last 10 games with 15 shots, 23 blocks, 12 PIMs and a +4 rating for the Coyotes. His price is about where it should be on DraftKings but comes at a terrific discount on FanDuel where he is a near must play.

Also Consider - Olli Maatta - Pittsburgh Penguins vs. ARI

  1. Who are the two best D men you could grab on draft kings for 9,300? I was going to go Streit and Stone. Any better ideas?

    • This is assuming Tyler Johnson is going to play. If he doesn’t, I would guess filpulla would move up a line, and in that case I’d have another 2200 to work with
