Welcome back to another night of daily fantasy hockey with DFSR. Really short slate tonight with only three games on the schedule. To cash we are going to want to find two or possibly three line stacks and make two lineups with your favorite goalies. Three of the six goalies (Bernier-TOR, Grubauer-WSH, Crawford-CHI) are already confirmed starting. Be sure to visit LeftWingLock prior to game time to confirm the starters.

Goaltenders

Philipp Grubauer
Opponent - TOR
FD - 7500 DK - 7200

He will get the start as the Caps are playing on back to back nights. He has been impressive in limited action behind Braden Holtby this season with a .926 save %. I am not worried about the back to back for the best team in the league as they get an elite matchup vs. the Leafs on Wednesday.

John Gibson
Opponent - MON
FD - 8000 DK - 7600

It isn't confirmed yet which Ducks goalie will start tonight and it really doesn't matter. Whichever one is between the pipes tonight will be in a nice spot. The Ducks have won eight straight games and haven't lost in regulation in over 10 games now. They get a nice matchup at home tonight vs. the struggling Habs.

Also Consider -  Jimmy Howard - Detroit Red Wings vs. CHI

CENTER

Evgeny Kuznetsov
Opponent - TOR
FD - 7200 DK - 6700

He continues to impress for the Caps as he has provided a terrific secondary scoring option this season. He has a goal in two straight games and 11 points over his last 10 games and now sits at 65 points on the year. He has spent time on the first line but is now back with Burakovsky and Williams on the second line and will be slightly less owned than Washington's first line tonight.

Stack with - Andre Burakovsky, Justin Williams

Ryan Getzlaf
Opponent - MON
FD - 8600 DK - 6300

The price is where it should be on FanDuel but Getzlaf is still under priced on DraftKings and makes a fantastic center option tonight. He has helped bring the Ducks back to life this season after an extremely poor start and has tallied 15 points in his previous 10 games including seven PP points and a +7 rating.

Stack with - David Perron, Corey Perry(PP)

Also Consider - Henrik Zetterberg - Detroit Red Wings vs. CHI

WINGERS

Alex Ovechkin
Opponent - TOR
FD - 10900 DK - 9100

Back on the picks list again after letting us down the last two games. There are two elite plays tonight at forward and on Draftkings where the salaries are close I will take Ovi with much more upside and a higher floor. On FanDuel, Ovi is scratching the $11K level while Patrick Kane remains under $9K. I will take the savings and a stronger lineup overall on FanDuel. Despite the two game scoreless streak, he still has nine goals and four assists in his last 10 games.

Stack with - TJ Oshie, Nicklas Backstrom

Teuvo Teravainen
Opponent - DET
FD - 4400 DK - 3900

If you are looking for a contrarian play tonight the Hawks third line could be very low owned. Teravainen is a high risk play as he has only tallied 26 points on the season in 15 min of ice time per game but you need to take a risk somewhere with only three games. The upside is that in his last 10 games he has picked up four points with three coming with the man advantage.

Stack with - Andrew Desjardins, Tomas Fleischmann

Also Consider - Patrick Kane - Chicago Blackhawks @ DET

DEFENSE

Sami Vatanen
Opponent - MON
FD - 5400 DK - 5100

He has been a very consistent fantasy option from the Ducks defense at an affordable mid $5K price tag. He has points in three straight and has 10 points in his last 10 games. Of those 10 points, seven came on the powerplay where the Ducks have been lights out lately.

Brooks Orpik
Opponent - TOR
FD - 4000 DK - 4500

Has been held pointless in his lat two games but still provides nice value, especially on DraftKings where blocks are rewarded.  He has tallied six points in eight games since returning to the lineup. Until his salary gets over $5K he makes a great low end value for any format.

Also Consider - P.K. Subban - Montreal Canadiens @ ANH

  • All the Capitals today! I will be stacking both lines tonight with a combo of Gibson and Grubauer.

    • Sounds like the best bet. Isles kinda burned me last night, but I took 1st in a $2 draft kings tournament with Pominville/Haula/ Nieddereiter/ Coyle and Parise. Wilds 3rd line could be a cheap force going forward
