Welcome to another night of daily fantasy hockey with Daily Fantasy Sports Rankings. Huge night on the ice Wednesday with 11 games. Only the Boston Bruins are playing on a back to back tonight home to the Panthers. The Philadelphia Flyers and Los Angeles Kings are both playing a third game in four nights, all on the road.

With so many games tonight it will be very important in cash games to identify players with not only high floors but upside as well. With 13 of bottom 15 teams in defense in action tonight, their could be some high fantasy scores. For GPP's it will be important to stack and to differentiate yourself you can pivot to a strong offensive teams second line or powerplay combination. Paying up for both D men is also a nice contrarian strategy as most will combine two values or one value and one stud.

If you have any questions throughout the day be sure to join the conversation in the comments section below. Also, be sure to check LeftWingLock to get confirmation on all of the starting goalies for Tuesday. Now onto the picks.

Goaltenders

Marc-Andre Fleury
Opponent - NJ
FD - 9700 DK - 8300

The Penguins, lead by Crosby and Fleury, have moved into third in the Metropolitan Division. They have won six straight and eight of their last 10 games and it appears the have flipped the playoff switch early. Fleury has won five straight starts and has only allowed more than two goals once. He has pushed his season record to 32-16-6 with a .922 save % and will look to improve on that tonight. The Penguins are huge favorites(-285) in a home matchup vs. the Devils who own the leagues worst offense. Fleury is in a better spot than any other goalie to get a win tonight but should be reserved for cash games as the Devils rank last in shots per game.

Devan Dubnyk
Opponent - CGY
FD - 8100 DK - 7800

The Wild are coming on strong at the end of season as they try and catch the Nashville Predators for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference. They have won three straight and six of their last 10 games but it hasn't been enough as they haven't gained any ground(actually lost one point) in the last week. They will need all hands on deck with eight games remaining and a little luck with some Preds losses but it can be done. Dubnyk has been one of the hottest goalies in the league lately going 7-1-1 recently with a .921 save percentage. He gets a home matchup tonight vs. the Flames who own the leagues worst road record and whom he has already beaten once this season.

Also Consider - Pekka Rinne - Nashville Predators vs. VAN

CENTER

Patrice Bergeron
Opponent - FLA
FD - 7500 DK - 7400

The Bruins are the only team on back to back tonight and play a tough divisional game at home vs. the Panthers. While this might scare some away form the Bruins tonight, I believe this is a perfect GPP play. Bergeron is an elite center and thrives in tough matchups. He broke out of a four game slump last night with an assist vs. the Rangers and i fell he is just getting heated up for the final run of the regular season. In three previous games vs. the Panthers this season he has two goals and three assists with a +4 rating. He has Luongo's number.

Stack with - Brad Marchand, Lee Stempniak

Brandon Pirri
Opponent - TOR
FD - 5000 DK - 3900

This play hinges on what the Ducks do with their line combinations tonight. He was moved to the first line last game with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and if it stays that way for tonight's game, he makes a terrific value play regardless of matchup. It just so happens the Ducks get a fantastic matchup vs. the Leafs. Pay close attention to the Ducks morning skate for line combos or check the comment section throughout the day as I will relay any updates.

Stack with - Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry

Also Consider - Anze Kopitar - Los Angeles Kings @ WPG

WINGERS

James Neal
Opponent - VAN
FD - 6700 DK - 6000

As I mentioned above it has been the Predators keeping pace with the chasing Wild for the final wild card spot in the West. They have gone 6-2-2 over their last 10 games and the second line has been on fire. Neal had a slow start to his second season as a Predator but has come on since the All Star break with 18 points in 23 games including 11 in his last 10 games. He has provided a safe floor all season with shot volume, averaging over three shot a game. He has recently shown how high his ceiling is with three multi point efforts in his last four games including a hat trick vs. the Oilers.

Stack with - Ryan Johansen, Calle Jarnkrok

Nino Niederreiter
Opponent - CGY
FD - 5300 DK - 4400

He makes a great low owned pick for tournaments tonight and has been playing very lately as of late. Before the Wild's 2-1 loss vs. the Kings on Tuesday, Niederreiter was riding a five game point streak including two multi point games. The Wild will be home favorites and should be able to score some goals tonight as they face the Flames who rank dead last in goals allowed per game.

Stack with - Erik Haula, Justin Fontaine

Also Consider - Tomas Hertl - San Jose Sharks vs. EDM

DEFENSE

Brent Burns
Opponent - EDM
FD - 8000 DK - 8300

Small slate, large slate, doesn't really matter. Burns provides the biggest upside of any D man. He has experience as a forward and uses that to his advantage from the blue line. He handles the puck well and takes a ton of shots leading to plenty of offensive upside. He is second behind Erik Karlsson in points by a defensmen and 11th overall. He is on a bit of a cold streak lately with only one point in his last four games and hopefully that pushes most people away tonight creating even more value at a low ownership.

Michael Stone
Opponent - DAL
FD - 4000 DK - 5100

Surprise, surprise, Stone shows up as a value D mean again. It is just really hard to ignore him when constructing cash game lineups. He has provided a very safe floor recently averaging over three shots on goal per game over his last 10 and for DraftKings has added an additional 23 blocked shots. His role will start to decrease a bit with the return of OEL but the price is just too juicy, especially on FanDuel where they are practically giving him away.

Also Consider - Jake Muzzin - Los Angeles Kings @ WPG

  • After a night off from the hockey world I am back for a huge night in the NHL. There are some great matchups with 13 of the bottom 15 teams in defense on the ice. Should be a high scoring night. Might be a night where I run 3-6 LU's in GPP.

I will post a cash LU later on in the day.

Lets cash tonight boys and girls!

  • I need it Chris!
I was looking at stacking CGY1 + SJ2 with Burns/Byfuglien and Gibson protecting the net. Good idea or bad idea?

  • Tonight's DK 50/50 lineup. As always feedback welcomed. I always tend to spread the lineup out on nights with 10 plus games. Not a huge fan of stacking more than two players in. 50/50 contest.

    Kopitar
    Pavelski
    Bjorkstrand
    Ward
    Landeskog
    Fowler
    Weber
    Eakin
    Mrazek

  • I loved my lineup on Tuesday but because of Gibson can my Habs, I lost my 50/50's and ended my awesome streak, but still managed to win 2 head to heads to minimize the pain slightly because both opponents had Gibson also. Tonight is time for revenge. I'll post my cash lineup later also. A lot of huge favourites tonight. Great for fan duel because of us minus and a lot of stud goalies to chose from. DK is good also because I like cheap D men who block a lot of shots. Let's kick ass

  • Justin - I don't like CGY for Cash but very contrarian on the road with the least popular SJ line of the top 2 with two high priced D men. Great GPP LU if it goes off.

  • With so many favorites tonight who is going to be the big dog to win? I think possibly Edmonton or Arizona

  • Good picks today Chris. A huge value D man I found for 2700$ on DK is Stephen johns Dallas Stars. Solid floor for cash games. Also gardiner for Tor. I love the Pirri. Stack the entire line for gpp and pair him with Perry every where in cash games. Leafs have been better but Anaheim should score 3-4 goals. Pirri is only 3900 on DK? Wow. My goalie in cash lineups is Rinne. Can't go wrong with fleury but Canucks shoot more than the Devils but they still suck big time.

    • any advice on cash lineup is it worth stacking san jose and pens advice lets see some lineups

  • Whats everyone thought on Kunitz? NJ playing a rookie goalie tonight & might be overwhelmed. I have jussi in right now but leaning towards the Crosby/Kunitz stack

  • Just a reminder no article again tomorrow with only 3 games. If you wanna chat though, i will be hanging around this thread as i will be playing a couple GPP;s tomorrow
