Welcome to another night of daily fantasy hockey with Daily Fantasy Sports Rankings. Another terrific slate with nine games on the NHL schedule on Tuesday. The following six teams are all playing on back to back nights:

  • Buffalo Sabres (Road)
  • Detroit Red Wings (Road)
  • Toronto Maple Leafs (Road)
  • Colorado Avalanche (Road)
  • Nashville Predators (Road)
  • San Jose Sharks (Road)

There are six teams (BOS, PIT, NYI, DET, SJ, FLA) who battling for a playoff spot who enter very favorable matchups vs. teams who are out of the playoff picture. Target these teams in your cash lineups and if you want to be contrarian take one of the big underdogs and stack the top line.

If you have any questions throughout the day be sure to join the conversation in the comments section below. Also, be sure to check LeftWingLock to get confirmation on all of the starting goalies for Tuesday. Now onto the picks.

Goaltenders

Roberto Luongo
Opponent - TOR
FD - 9000 DK - 8300

After a slow stretch following the All Star break, Luongo is back on track winning two straight and three of his last four starts. He has faced 33+ shots in three of those four games giving tons of upside for any format. The Panthers will look to keep things rolling tonight as they sit tied atop the Atlantic Division after another Tampa Bay win last night. Luo gets a favorable home matchup vs. the Leafs who he has beaten twice already this year, stopping 54 of 56 shots for a .964 save percentage. Look for another strong game tonight.

Brian Elliott
Opponent - COL
FD - 9800 DK - 8500

After returning from a month long absence due to injury, Elliot has been phenomenal with three straight shutouts. The Blues defense has definitely played a huge role in the success as they have only allowed more than 19 shots once in those three games. Not to say Elliot hasn't been good because his biggest win was the 37 save shutout of the Sharks on the 22nd. He got a night off last game and is back tonight to face the Avalanche who are playing a back to back on the road. They might have tired legs but should be motivated as they are fighting for their playoff lives in the West. It should be a close hard fought, low scoring game but I feel the Blues are the better team and will come out on top.

Also Consider - Tukka Rask - Boston Bruins @ NJ

CENTER

Sidney Crosby
Opponent - BUF
FD - 9800 DK - 8100

What more can be said about Sid the Kid. He has put the Penguins team on his back in the second half and leads all players with 37 points in 27 games since the All Star break. In those games he has also logged an incredible +21 rating. It is really getting tiresome as a Flyers fan having to write about Sid every time he takes the ice but I am in the business of winning and don't care what jersey my players wear. With Evgeni Malkin out for the foreseeable future, look for Crosby to continue his amazing run through the end of the regular season and into the playoffs.

Stack with - Patric Hornqvist, Chris Kunitz

Aleksander Barkov
Opponent - TOR
FD - 6400 DK - 6600

The Panthers to line has been extremely consistent and all three guys come at a n affordable price. Barkov is starting to heat up again, coming off a two point game vs. the Lightning and has tallied eight points(three on the PP) in his last 10 games including 31 shots on goal for a safe floor. The Panthers get a terrific matchup tonight as they sit as big home favorites the Leafs come to town playing on back to back nights on the road and rank 23rd in goals allowed per game. FLA 1 will be my highest owned stack of the night.

Stack with - Jaromir Jagr, Jonathan Huberdeau

Also Consider - Paul Stastny - St. Louis Blues vs. COL

WINGERS

Joe Pavelski
Opponent - VAN
FD - 7900 DK - 7400

If you have been targeting the Sharks on the road this season you have been profiting nicely so far. You will get another opportunity tonight as they travel to face the Canucks who have plummeted off the face of the Earth losing eight straight games.  Pavelski has been on fire recently with points in three straight and five of his last six games. The floor has been extremely high as he has also picked up 26 shots on goal in those six games and added three PP points.

Stack with - Joe Thornton, Tomas Hertl

Patrick Sharp
Opponent - NAS
FD - 3000 DK - 6000

After an injury at the start of March which saw him miss two weeks of action, he has worked his way back onto the top line. Unfortunately for the Stars, it's without the services of Tyler Seguin fr the remainder of the regular season as the injuries keep piling up in big D. Sharp is coming off a two point game vs. the Sharks and gets the benefit of playing beside Jamie Benn. Oh ya and if you are playing FanDuel tonight, they are giving him away at minimum price. Jump on it now as it will be fixed by the weekend.

Stack with - Jamie Benn, Cody Eakin

Also Consider - Andrew Ladd - Chicago Blakchawks @ MIN

DEFENSE

Brent Burns
Opponent - VAN
FD - 7700 DK - 8400

My favorite D man to pay up for this season has been Brent Burns and that gigantic beard. He is coming off another multi point game and now has points in three straight pushing his total to 69 for the season. The floor is extremely high with Burns as he has tallied 44 shots in his last 10 games and has 329 shots on goal for the season. He is always a great option for GPP's as the highest priced D man on DraftKings but is close to safe in all formats with a price under $8K on FanDuel.

Calvin de Haan
Opponent - CAR
FD - 3200 DK - 4100

Normally I only tout De Haan on DraftKings where he has a very safe floor averaging over 3 blocked shots per game recently. He has provided some offensive lately with points in three of his last four games making him a viable option on FanDuel as well at near minimum price. You don't need a whole lot from a punt D man as the elite players you get because of the saving should more than make up for the lack of upside he carries.

Also Consider - Aaron Ekblad - Florida Panthers vs. TOR

so yesterday the gentleman that won 2k just stacked flyers

  • I was so close on my Flyer stack on DK to big money. Was just happy to see them win in OT. I love this time of year.

  • Had 39.3 pts on DK and finished 204th in the $7K enforcer(3 entry limit).

Had 48.3 on FanDuel and finished 2nd and 3rd in 100 man league and 224th in the $25K Breakaway

  • Both Pittsburgh and Florida stacks don't work! Any recondemations for lineups to use

  • SJ has VAN tonight.....i dont stack to often but im going PITTS tonight.

  • This is a last ditch effort. Doing 3 LUs in a huge Quintuple up. If I don't win with at least one I'm out for the rest of the week.

L1 SJ1 + DAL (Benn/Sharp/Eakin) with Burns/de Haan and Rask in the net.
    L2 FLA (Hubes/Jagr/Barkov) + DET2 with Burns/Braun and Luongo in the net.
    L3 PIT1 + STL2 with Suter/Ekblad and Elliot.

    Any suggestions?
