A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!
Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Colorado Rockies vs. Jeff Locke (Pirates)
Park - Coors Field

This slate is a very odd one as while the pitching options are very slim, there is no singular offense that jumps off the page. The team that is close for me is the Pirates and Jeff Locke. Locke has been very bad this year as evidenced by his .347 wOBA and 8 home runs allowed against righties in only 50 innings. The Colorado Rockies on the other hand, are a complete different team at home in Coors Field. Thus far into 2016, the Rockies have sported a .372 wOBA at home against left handers. If you are playing an early slate or an all day slate, make sure you get some exposure to the Colorado Rockies.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Tyler Wilson (Orioles)
Park - Rogers Centre

Moving on to the main late slate, we will start off with the Toronto Blue Jays against right hander Tyler Wilson. While I will target the Jays primarily against lefties, Tyler Wilson is an exception as he has struggled over the course of his career against both sides of the plate. Dating back to his debut in 2015, Wilson has exhibited a .329 wOBA that is backed up by a 4.79 xFIP. The Blue Jays as a whole have hit right handers well as they hold an above average .313 team wOBA. However, their top hitters have much better numbers, and get dragged down by the lesser players.

Washington Nationals vs. Miguel Gonzalez (White Sox)
Park - U.S. Cellular Field

While you would assume there would a ton jumping off the page on this slate, it wasn't too easy to find the 3rd and final team here. All of the Vegas totals look similar and the potential weather concerns do certainly worry me to an extent. Onto the match up, the Washington Nationals are taking on a horrible right hander in Miguel Gonzalez. Gonzalez has been insanely bad this season with a .337 wOBA that is backed up by peripherals like a 5.39 xFIP and a line drive rate of 23.5% against righties. When you combine his struggled with the Nationals offense and enter that in U.S. Cellular Field, you have problems. My favorite bats on the team are going to be Murphy, Harper, Revere, Werth and Ramos. This could of course change in the blink of an eye if something unexpected happens with the lineup.

  1. There is a mistake with the date listed for today it says hitter stacks for 5-4-16. But it’s June 9…….. This has been pretty frequent for typos with this sites advice that I’m noticing. Yesterday it was lamb being a recommendation for the late games when he was an early slate . Let’s try and make things more accurate from now on please so I don’t hesitate to listen to the predictions please .

  6. How does your nats lineup change with Ramos and revere out?

    • ML’s dipped on them by almost 1/2 a run which is a ton. Not as bullish on them anymore though Harper is still an easy cash game play
