Quarteback

Mike Reilly Edmonton  - 10,800

Through the first three games, the Eskimo's QB has been above average, throwing for 761 yards, with 5 TD's and 1 interception. He is averaging 29.4 DraftKings points per game, and draws a good matchup vs the Blue Bombers who have been weak against the pass so far this year by giving up 326 yards per game through the air. This game is going to be a shootout, and Edmonton is loaded with weapons on offense. I'm locking him in as my cash game play at QB.

Drew Willy Winnipeg - 9,000

And then there is the Blue Bomber's QB. He has thrown for 940 yards, with 4 TD's and 1 interception, but is only averaging 22.1 draftkings points per game. He can and will have great games, but he can be terrible as well. He is up and down like a roller coaster. This could be one of those weeks that he has a monster game vs the Eskimos who have given up a league worst 420 passing yards per game. Ouch. And the total for the game is currently set at 54.5 points according to www.pinnaclesports.com. I don't trust him in cash games but fire Big Willy up in your tourney lineups.

Running Back

Anthony Allen BC - 5900

There is never much to say about a CFL running back. There is very little safety and very little upside. They aren't always on the field and most of the time when they are, they end up in heavy pass protection mode. With that being said the former Baltimore Raven is seeing a decent amount of touches for a CFL back, and is making the most of them. Play Allen this week in all formats.

Andrew Harris Winnipeg - 7600

If you have money left over, spend it on Harris. He has been fairly involved in the passing game for the Bombers and the Blue and Gold have one of the most balanced attacks in the CFL. And like I said, there should be a ton of points scored in Winnipeg this week.

Wide Receiver

Adarius Bowman Edmonton  - 10,400

Derel Walker Edmonton - 9700

Here we have two stud receivers on one team. I am mentioning them both together because you can't really go wrong with selecting one or the other. Edmonton's defense has been horrid so far, so their offense is always firing the ball downfield. As a result they have been scoring a lot of points so there's a lot of love to go around for these guys. Bowman has 3 TD's so his stats look way better at the moment, but Walker could end up being the more consistent one of the two. I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but this game is going to be a shootout. Make sure one of these guys is in your lineups.

Ryan Smith Winnipeg - 7000

Jace Davis Winnipeg - 4300

Okay here it goes. Nobody really knows these two guys but that won't last for very long. Just trust me. Big Willy has throw to somebody and these two are amongst his favourite targets so far in this short season. Actually Davis is my favourite value play of any position in any format and Smith seems like one of the safer plays this week at WR. Edmonton's pass D will most likely get torched once again. And Remember wide receivers have a much higher floor in the CFL than they do in the NFL.

Brandon Banks Hamilton- 6600

Honestly folks, this guy should be in the NFL. He is a kick/punt returning machine and also catches a pass here and there. He is averaging almost 17 dk points per game and this week's matchup vs Montreal is supposed to be a low scoring game. What does this mean? A lot of punting. His floor should be high and a speedy kick returner always has upside. I'm playing him in a lot of my lineups. You should too.

D/ST

Hamilton 5500

This is always a crap shoot. I'm picking the Tiger-Cats because their game vs the Alouettes has the lowest total (47.5)  Also Montreal is simply just not very good in my opinion. The Cats are the most expensive choice this week but probably for good reason.

Good luck this week and if you have any questions, I check the comments section and the chat room often.

  1. Hey folks the Eskimos bombers game total on pinnacle sports is up to 55.5 and may be as high as 56 at kickoff at 8:30 et. It started at 53.5 on Monday. Get a lot of exposure to this game in cash games and tourneys. I like both Edmonton receivers I mentioned and both bombers receiver and Adams at 7400 is also a good play along with the RB Harris if u can afford him and if u can’t afford Hamilton d at 5500 the Montreal D at 4600 will work
