What We Know

 

Personnel

• The projection system's favorite player Bryce Harper has now missed three straight games but has yet to be placed on the disabled list. With Dusty Baker, no one really knows what will happen. Keep an eye out on the lineups as they roll in because he could make a sneaky play should he rejoin the lineup tonight
• Giancarlo Stanton was held out of the starting lineup on Wednesday but made a late pinch hit appearance and after a day off on Thursday should be back in the lineup in a great matchup vs. a lefty tonight
• Mookie Betts is considered day to day after being pulled from the game Wednesday and sitting out on Thursday. If he cannot go again on Friday(not likely) he will most likely be replaced by Brock Holt once again
• It is possible Carlos Gonzalez returns to the outfield tonight. He has missed three straight games and made a pinch hit appearance driving in three runs in last nights game
• Carlos Santana is considered day to day after being hit in the head with a foul ball in Thursday night's game. It doesn't appear to be a concussion so there is a chance he may miss only a game or two
• Matt Holliday has been placed on the disabled list with a fractured thumb after getting hit with a pitch last night
• The Astros have reported they have called up prospect Teoscar Hernandez. Watch for him in the coming days as he has not yet been added to the FanDuel and DraftKings database. The call up was due in large part to Carlos Gomez being designated for assignment
• The Tampa Bay Rays have activated Matt Duffy from the disabled list and he will move into the starting shortstop position

Looking at both optimizers today we see that Bogaearts shows up in 23 lineups on DraftKings and all 25 on FanDuel. He has struggled a bit as of last but continues to rake over the course of the season with an impressive .314/.370/.459 slash line. He also continues to crush left handed pitching with a .368 wOBA and 130 wRC+. Alex Rodriguez FD 696 DK 2600
Opponent - TB (Archer) Park - @NYY

If you haven't already noticed A Rod's price on FanDuel is $696 which is in relation to his carer home run total. He will be playing his final game before retiring tonight and will crush that value with just a walk. LOL. The matchup isn't ideal vs. Archer but for that price you will be able to pay up for pitching or as many bats as you want. It's more about what he gives you access to with the rest of your lineup. His price on DraftKings is also low but not low enough to consider outside a contrarian GPP lineup.
