A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!

Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Boston Red Sox vs. Archie Bradley (ARI)

The Red Sox put on quite a show last night scoring 9 runs, and I'm expecting them to have another big night.

They will be going up against Archie Bradley tonight, who has struggled mightily this season. He is coming into this contest sporting an 11.5 BB% to go along with 1.51 WHIP. Those statistics are just yelling out trouble to me, especially against an offense that is loaded from top-to-bottom. Not only does he struggle with control, but he also gets hit hard! On the year, opponents own a 38.1% hard contact rate against the northpaw. Giving up free passes and hard hit balls won't help you out against this dominant offense, so look for the Red Sox to pounce on the struggling 24-year-old.

My top 4 guys to stack: David Ortiz, Hanley Ramirez, Travis Shaw and Xander Bogaerts

Minnesota Twins vs. Dillon Gee (KC)

The Twins have just been on пожар! (That's fire in Bulgarian).

They have been the hottest team in baseball over the last 14 days, with a .374 wOBA, 136 wRC+ and .525 SLG (all highest in MLB). There is nothing wrong with stacking a team that is on feuer (fire in german), especially when they are going up against a pitcher that has been struggling this season.

On the year, Gee owns a 6.08 ERA, 4.86 xFIP and 1.73 WHIP. Those peripherals are all very attractive when looking for a pitcher to [stack against], but there is one other stat that stood out to me: Opposing hitters own a .327 AVG against Gee on the year (yikes). This is an excellent matchup for the hottest team in baseball, so I will have a ton of exposure to them tonight.

My top 4 guys to stack: Brian Dozier, Joe Mauer, Max Kepler and Miguel Sano.

New York Yankees vs. Matt Andriese (TB)

I had the Texas Rangers as my last stack to target (hint-hint), but then I realized we have an early slate! So the team I will be looking to stack in this slate is the New York Yankees. I know they don't have any big offensive threats like the Red Sox, but I do love the matchup. They will be going up against Matt Andriese, who is a solid pitcher, but I don't see him in there long.

He has not pitched more than 4 innings since June 10th, so I'm expecting this to be a bullpen game. And the good thing about that is that the Rays have one of the worst bullpens in the league. They own a 4.45 ERA and opponents own a .264 AVG (both 5th highest in MLB). If this does indeed become a bullpen game like I project, I expect the Yankees to put some runs on the board. They could indeed be a very sneaky GPP option today. And don't forget -- they are playing at home!

My top 4 guys to stack: Didi Gregorius, Brett Gardner, Jacoby Ellsbury and Mark Teixeira
