A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!
Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Tyler Anderson(Rockies) & Colorado Rockies vs. Zach Davies (Brewers)
Park - Miller Park

I didn't mention the Cubs in this spot as I littered the main article with them. They are by far the top option in the early slate but if you are wanting to pivot consider both sides of the Brewers/Rockies game today. While the Rockies are a much better team in Coors they get a discount on the road and Miller park isn't a pitchers park by nay means. The Rockies also hit right handed pitching slightly better than lefties with a .340 wOBA and .187 Isolated Power. The top options are Charlie Blackmon, DJ Lemahieu, Carlos Gonzalez, David Dahl and Nolan Arenado.

On the other side of the ball the Brewers are in a nice spot today with a run total projection around 4.5. They now sit in the Top 10 in wOBA against left handed pitching and face off against Tyler Anderson today. After a fairly impressive start to his career on a team that calls Coors Field home, he has somewhat hit a wall recently. Over his last two starts he has allowed nine earned runs while giving up three long balls.  He has handled the left handed bats quite well this year but has struggled against right handers giving up a .327 wOBA and all nine of his home runs against. Jonathan Villar makes a nice safe play at the top of the lineup and comes with nice speed and run scoring upside. You can then grab some value with Keon Broxton if he is hitting at the top of the lineup and fill in around him with Ryan Braun, Hernan Perez and Chris Carter to get your power upside.
Philadelphia Phillies vs. James Shields (White Sox)
Park - U.S. Cellular Field

Looking at the evening slate there are some nice stacking options with some weak pitching on the mound tonight. Because of this I think the Phillies come in a bit overlooked as they just are not a powerhouse offensive team. They are, however, in a great spot today and project to score just south of five runs. What draws me to the Phillies isn't so much the bats but the opposition pitcher. They will face James Shields tonight who has been an absolute disaster this season. His K rate has fallen below six per nine and he is walking just shy of four batters per nine which is just terrible. He has been even worse lately giving up 27 earned runs including nine home runs in his last four starts. The top options I am targeting from the Phillies are Maikel Franco, Ryan Howard, and Odubel Herrera.
Also Consider - Minnesota Twins vs. Matt Boyd (Tigers)
