    Bad Boy Off Road 300

New Hampshire Motor Speedway - Loudon, NH
Track - 1.058 Mile Oval Intermediate Track
    12° Banking in the Corners

Chicago is now in the rear  view mirror with Martin Trues Jr. picking up the win and automatic advancement into the next round of the Chase. It came down to pit strategy as the #78 started overtime with four fresh tires and blew by everyone on the restart to grab the checkered flag. Forthe second straight year Kevin Harvick will be fighting adversity early in the Chase after getting caught on pit road during a caution which put him a lap down and eventually finishing 20th and putting him in the 14th position in the standings. Look for things to heat up as the first elimination race is just one week away.

This week NASCAR heads to Loudon, New Hampshire for the second race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a 1.058 Mile Oval flat track. The track can be compared to Phoenix as both are flat one mile tracks and require very similar car setups so I will closely at Phoenix results from March as well as the New Hampshire race from July. Qualifying will also be weighted heavily as track position will be key for drivers to get dominator points. For place differential points I will be looking at the value tab on the cheatsheet showing differential between Qualifying and Practice average.

The following is the initial schedule for the weekend:

    • First Practice - Friday @ 11:30 am et
    • Qualifying - Friday @ 4:45 pm et
    • Second Practice - Saturday @ 9:00 am et
    • Final Practice - Saturday @ 11:30 am et
    • Race - Sunday @ 2:00 pm et

Are looking to get better as fantasy NASCAR but don't have the time to conduct all the research necessary? Check out my DFS NASCAR Cheatsheet which will give you the edge to cash more consistently on DraftKings. The cheatsheet includes driver salaries, current form(Last 5 races), Track History(Last 5 Years), Loop Data, weekly salary trends,  and practice and qualifying ranks. I have also created a weighting system which changes weekly and takes in to account all of the things listed previously. I update the practice and qualifying as they happen which changes the overall rankings through the weekend. The cheatsheet will also be final shortly after the final practice. If you purchase the cheatsheet prior to final practice you will receive an email when the final lineup has been set.

If you have any questions about the cheatsheet throw me an email(jagerbombs99@gmail.com) or hit me up on Twitter(@jager_bombs9).

    Upper Tier Targets ($9,000+)

    Matt Kenseth
    DraftKings - $10,100
    Practice #1 - 11th
    Qualified - 8th
    Practice #2 - 3rd
    Final Practice - 7th

He won the race here in July, won the race here last fall during the 2015 Chase and has won three of the last six races here at New Hampshire. He has won races here from the 18th, 13th and 9th starting position and will start Sundays race from the 8th position. The form has been up and down lately with three Top 10's, a 13th and two finishes outside of 30th since the start of August. If he continues to show speed through the final two practices on Saturday he will be an elite play, safe in all formats as he comes in ranked 4th in salary.

    Kevin Harvick
    DraftKings - $10,700
    Practice #1 - 3rd
    Qualified - 19th
    Practice #2 - 9th
    Final Practice - 9th

If not for price Harvick would be my #1 pick this week. He was 3rd fastest in in first practice but had trouble qualifying and will start 19th on Sunday. This opens up a ton of place differential value for a driver who is more than capable of winning. He got a bit unlucky last week when the caution flag flew while he was on pit road putting him a lap down. He would not recover and finished 20th and now sits in a near do or do situation. Look for more speed out of the #4 team in the final two practices and roll with Harvick who will have tremendous upside for GPP's this weekend.

    Joey Logano
    DraftKings - $9,600
    Practice #1 - 13th
    Qualified - 15th
    Practice #2 - 14th
    Final Practice - 13th

He hits on almost every category I am looking at this week. He would probably come in #1 in my rankings if I only looked at the last couple years of track history as he had a rough stretch in 2013 and early 2014 with two 40th place finishes and a 14th. Since then he has a win and four straight Top 4 finishes. He comes into the second Chase race with nice form as well with six straight Top 10 finishes. His salary has also reached its lowest point since Watkins Glen two months ago and combine that with a 15th starting position and he is safe play in all formats.

Also Consider - Martin Truex Jr.

    Middle Tier Targets ($7,000-$9,000)

    Austin Dillon
    DraftKings - $8,200
    Practice #1 - 32nd
    Qualified - 29th
    Practice #2 - 23rd
    Final Practice - 22nd

Dillon had some issues in the first practice hitting the wall which forced the #3 team into a backup car for Qualifying and the race. They had minimal time to tweak the setup and ended up in the 29th starting position. His price is a little higher than I would like but he offers terrific place differential value and should be much better than a 29th place car. He is definitely not safe for cash games in a backup car but the possible bonus points makes him an excellent GPP play this week.

    Kasey Kahne
    DraftKings - $7,400
    Practice #1 - 6th
    Qualified - 9th
    Practice #2 - 13th
    Final Practice - 3rd

Tournament value seems to be the theme of the mid tier this week and Kahne is another viable option. He is the one non Chase driver I feel has a shot to win or at least push the top guys come the closing laps of the race. He has been showing Top 10 speed for a few weeks and is enjoying his best stretch of season with three straight Top 10 finishes and eight straight Top 20 finishes. He has some decent track history as well with a win(2012), two Top 5's and three Top 10 finishes.

    Also Consider - Greg Biffle

Low End Targets ($6,900 and Below)

    Regan Smith
    DraftKings - $5,200
    Practice #1 - 35th
    Qualified - 30th
    Practice #2 - 32nd
    Final Practice - 33rd

I will be playing a ton of GPP's this week as I love the value here at New Hampshire. I am jumping back on the Regan Smith train this week as he is the lowest price driver under $7K who has recorded a Top 10 finish here at New Hampshire. In fact, in his last four races here he has recorded 21.0 average finish. He will be starting Sundays race in the 30th position which should give him a bit of place differential value as he has finished each of the last four races inside the 30th finishing position. The price is hard to beat if you are trying to fit three elite drivers in your lineup.

    Also Consider - AJ Allmendinger

    Post Practice & Qualifying Update

    Qualifying Top 10

    1. #19 Carl Edwards
    2. #78 Martin Truex Jr.
    3. #31 Ryan Newman
    4. #48 Jimmie Johnson
    5. #11 Denny Hamlin
    6. #42 Kyle Larson
    7. #1 Jamie McMurray
    8. #20 Matt Kenseth
    9. #5 Kasey Kahne
    10. #24 Chase Elliott
