Guards

Devin Booker FD - $9200 DK - $9600
Opponent - SAC
Proj Pts FD - 44.95 DK - 46.22

There is a solid group of guards at the top of the salary tonight but it's Booker who stands out the most as he checks almost every single box. It starts with the matchup as this game is expected to stay close(SAC -1), has one of the highest totals on the slate, and Booker faces a Kings team that is 23rd in defensive efficiency and 4th in pace. For Booker, he has been very consistent all season averaging around 5x at these prices and has been slightly better with Chris Paul out getting a little more usage and averaging around 3-4 fantasy points more per game. All things considered here, Booker is my top overall guard on this slate.

Ben Simmons FD - $7300 DK - $7100
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 38.94 DK - 40.91

The positional eligibility is all over the place at the moment between the two sites but I list Simmons here at his natural position. After being pretty much unplayable earlier in the season, Simmons appears to have returned to fantasy relevance lately. He isn't going to get much volume with Durant and Irving on the floor but is an elite defender and distributor and over his last six games is averaging 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 2.8 blocks+steals, and tallied 32 or more DK points in each of those games. The Nets are in a great spot here against a Magic team that has the 3rd worst defensive efficiency and while Simmons' price is on the rise, I will still have exposure in all formats.

Jose Alvarado FD - $4700 DK - $4300
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 30.24 DK - 30.11

It isn't too hard to find value on this slate and for that, we start with a short-handed Pelicans team that is still without CJ McCollum and is likely without Brandon Ingram tonight, as well. That leaves a lot of minutes and usage to go around and one player who likely picks up a ton of that work is Jose Alvarado. He has been less than impressive in his first two starts picking up just 13 total shots but did contribute nine assists against the Spurs and had four steals in those two games. Now, with Ingram likely out, I fully expect Alvarado to get double-digit shot attempts giving him a nice floor for cash games and at his price in this plus matchup, he also has lots of PTS/$ upside. Fire him up in all formats as one of our top PTS/$ value plays on the slate.

Small Forward

Franz Wagner FD - $6900 DK - $7300
Opponent - BKN
Proj Pts FD - 32.88 DK - 35.92

The Magic have more players out or labelled questionable than they do healthy players at the moment and that has allowed Franz Wagner to be the steady eddy in the lineup. He doesn't provide a whole lot in terms of secondary scoring(4.2 ast/4.3 reb per game) but it's just enough to go with his 19.5 points per game to make him viable night in and night out. He is hardly ever going to tank your lineup with a bad performance and he has also flashed his 45-50 fantasy point upside at times. In a matchup against a below-average Nets team, I want exposure to Wagner in all formats.

Also consider: Lonnie Walker(LAL) who has been playing some big minutes lately with one of Lebron or AD out every game and Walker has also tallied 25 or more DK points in five of his last seven games. In play in all formats.

Power Forward/Center

Nikola Jokic FD - $11200 DK - $11400
Opponent - HOU
Proj Pts FD - 60.29 DK - 63.82

There is no denying who our favorite overall play is tonight with Jokic leading the projections by nearly 10 full points on both sites. After a three-game stretch where he seemingly couldn't get over 45 fantasy points, Joker is back in elite territory averaging 58 over his last three games and narrowly missing out on a triple-double in two of those games. This game has the third-highest total on the slate and while there is some blowout risk, I just can't pass up this matchup as the Rockets rank 27th in defensive efficiency, 26th in fantasy points against centers, and is the 9th fastest team in the league. In GPP formats, I like running it back with Jalen Green who has been getting lots of usage and making the most of it lately.

Myles Turner FD - $7900 DK - $7500
Opponent - LAL
Proj Pts FD - 43.22 DK - 43.67

With Turner coming off an absolute dud and Joker likely being popular in a smash spot, we could get an ownership discount here. Either way, I am on board with Turner who has been tremendous before that dud averaging 21.2 points and nine rebounds per game while averaging 42.5 DK/42.9 FD points. Tonight, he is in a great spot with this game having the highest total on the slate while also expected to be close. While the Lakers are 8th in overall defensive efficiency, they have given up the third-most fantasy points to centers and may be without Anthony Davis. Turner is in play for me in all formats and is one of my favorite mid-range plays on the slate.

John Collins FD - $5400 DK - $5500
Opponent - PHI
Proj Pts FD - 30.86 DK - 32.19

One of the top PTS/$ plays in our system tonight is John Collins whose price has dropped around $500 on both sites despite coming off a monster game. That ceiling game came with Clint Capela out of the lineup with dental pain and is questionable again tonight which would give Collins another huge opportunity. On the other side, the 76ers best defender Joel Embiid is questionable which would also be a boost here. There is a lot to monitor throughout the day but there is definitely a path to Collins becoming a top overall play in our system by lock. Stay tuned.
