Point Guard/ Shooting Guard

Tyrese Maxey FD - $9000 DK - $8900
Opponent - ATL
Proj Pts FD - 49.71 DK - 53.02

We have a lot of value on this slate and there are almost too many plays to mention as we get going here. That being said, Tyrese Maxey has to be at the top of the list with Joel Embiid set to miss another game with a knee injury. Maxey’s usage really spikes with Embiid off the court, and he’s coming off a 24-shot game against the Jazz on Saturday.

He finished with 25 points and nine assists in that one (a loss mind you). This matchup is a dream against the Hawks who play the second-worst defensive efficiency and run the fifth-fastest pace. Maxey isn’t priced all the way up for Embiid out so we are still getting a value here.

Tre Jones FD - $5600 DK - $5800
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 33.08 DK - 35.04

Tre Jones is going to stick in the Spurs' starting lineup now, and that’s great news for his fantasy prospects moving forward. He’s been there for two games now and has averaged 34 minutes, 18 points, five assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. The floor is high enough at his current price points, and he’s gifted with a matchup against the (also) bottom-feeding Detroit Pistons here on Wednesday. The sites haven’t fully adjusted his price for the starting role, and we can safely run him in cash games.

T.J. McConnell FD - $7000 DK - $6700
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 38.06 DK - 39.79

Tyrese Haliburton is going to miss extended time with the hamstring injury he suffered on Monday after doing a major split when slipping on a drive during the game. It should mean a ton more run for TJ McConnell, who is one of the best fantasy points-per-minute guards we have. He might not draw the start (it could be Andrew Nembhard), but I’m expecting a ton of minutes from TJ, who averages about 15 points, ten assists, five rebounds, and two steals per 30 minutes this season.

Jaden Ivey FD - $6400 DK - $1
Opponent - SA
Proj Pts FD - 36.03 DK - 38.77

Cade Cunningham is going to miss the next few games at least, and Jaden Ivey is one of the clear beneficiaries from a fantasy perspective. He put up a team-high 17 shots on Tuesday against the Kings, finishing with 22 points, six assists, and five rebounds. He also played the most minutes for the team as well. This is a good matchup against a Spurs team that isn’t good on defense. Plus, Ivey’s price has fully adjusted to the new role.

Josh Richardson (FD 5000 DK 4600) is interesting if he’s starting for Kyle Lowry.

Small Forward

Miles Bridges FD - $7900 DK - $8200
Opponent - SAC
Proj Pts FD - 43.17 DK - 46.16

Miles Bridges was a chalk play against the Bulls on Monday. Now he’ll get a pace-up game against the Kings who are coming on the back-to-back. With LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward out of the lineup, Charlotte has needed a ton of minutes and shots from Bridges, who’s averaged 26 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.8 blocks+steals over the last four games. His FanDuel price is still very much a value. I think we could see higher ownership once again on this slate.

Kevin Huerter FD - $4800 DK - $4700
Opponent - CHA
Proj Pts FD - 26.29 DK - 28.6

Kevin Huerter was slotted back into the Kings’ starting lineup on Tuesday. He promptly went out and played 29 minutes in the win over the Pistons. When he’d started before the minutes weren’t exactly robust or secure, so this was a good sign about what’s to come with his rotations if remaining a starter. He shot just 2-11 from the field, which killed his line, but the 0-6 from three isn’t likely to continue. We are still getting him at solid price points if he’s the starter with full minutes.

Power Forward/ Center

Kyle Kuzma FD - $8100 DK - $7800
Opponent - IND
Proj Pts FD - 44.35 DK - 48.81

The Wizards get a great matchup here against the Pacers in a game that rings in with a whopping 254 over/under. That’s easily the highest of the night. We are going to want exposure to this one. If the Wizards can keep in games (a big if) then Kuzma should see minutes in the mid-30s.

He’s taken 21 or more shots in four of his last six games while coming off a 22-point, 15-rebound set against the Thunder on Monday. His price has stuck in this range on both sites over the short term because the minutes have been a bit all over the place. Most of that has to do with blowout, which isn’t as likely in this game against the Pacers.

Myles Turner FD - $7700 DK - $6800
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 41.74 DK - 42.88

We haven’t spent a ton of time on the Pacers here, but it’s worth noting that they get the very best DFS matchup around against the Wizards. Washington ranks second in pace and dead last in defensive efficiency. That’s the sweet spot for when we are rostering guys on FanDuel and DraftKings. I do think Myles Turner has a high enough minutes floor here and has upside if the pace gets to be a track meet, and he can stack up blocks against a bad Wiz team.

Strongly consider Nikola Jovic (FD 4500 DK 4700) if he’s in the starting lineup again.
