Point Guard/ Shooting Guard

Dejounte Murray FD - $8900 DK - $8900
Opponent - UTA
Proj Pts FD - 46.93 DK - 49.78

Trae Young is going to miss some time here with the hand injury which means this team gets turned over almost completely to Dejounte Murray. He sees increases in basically every statistical category and is coming off 25 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds last game against the Magic.

The price hasn’t moved enough to account for the new opportunity and we are still getting him too cheap on both sites. He gets a good matchup against the Jazz and will be chalk on this slate.

Bogdan Bogdanovic FD - $6600 DK - $6300
Opponent - UTA
Proj Pts FD - 35.87 DK - 38.14

In terms of playing time bumps, Bogdan Bogdanovic sees a somewhat considerable uptick moving into the Hawks's starting lineup to replace Trae Young. He’s kind of score or bust with his fantasy profile, coming off an 11-shot that saw him get to 17 points. Bog did add in five rebounds, and three assists, but he’ll need the usage to really hit any upside. That being said, with the minutes and the matchup, he’s still a play here with Trae Young on the shelf.

Dennis Schröder FD - $5400 DK - $4800
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 29.39 DK - 32.17

Ben Simmons is going to sit the second half of the back-to-back and Cam Thomas is doubtful with a sprained ankle suffered at the end of the Grizzlies game. That means we should see a lot of Dennis Schroder here for the Nets on Tuesday against the Magic. He played 26 minutes in the start on Monday, scoring 18 points while adding five assists. The minutes will, almost for sure, increase in this game with Brooklyn down bad in the backcourt.

Small Forward

DeMar DeRozan FD - $7900 DK - $7600
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 45.46 DK - 46.73

The Pistons are coming off a real tough loss on Monday and get to run it on a back-to-back here against the Bulls. Chicago has run tighter rotations, playing the starters tons of minutes when games stay close. DeMar DeRozan has averaged close to 40 minutes per game over the last month (couple of OT games in there, but still), keeping one of the highest minutes floors around. He definitely needs to score with the rebounding and assist numbers not spiking in this Bulls’ system. But that’s also keeping the price in check.

Lauri Markkanen FD - $8000 DK - $8100
Opponent - ATL
Proj Pts FD - 43.88 DK - 47.38

The Utah Jazz can be somewhat fickle with minutes for the starters, but that’s not the case with Lauri Markkanen who remains one of the better fantasy plays around. Over the last month, Markkanen is averaging 23 points and eight rebounds on insanely efficient 49/ 43/ 97 splits.

That’s about as good as it gets from an efficiency standpoint. Now he’ll play the worst defensive efficiency team in the league in the Atlanta Hawks. This game has the second-highest implied total on the slate (236.5) and we are going to want exposure to both sides of the ball.

Power Forward/ Center

Giannis Antetokounmpo FD - $11700 DK - $11500
Opponent - CHA
Proj Pts FD - 63.02 DK - 66.2

The Bucks seem to be turning a bit of a corner here, winning their last couple of games and looking a bit more cohesive. Giannis is averaging 32 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists in the last couple with even more of the offense running through him. The price is high, of course, but the matchup is also a good one against Charlotte. The Hornets are the fourth-worst defense in the league and don’t really have the personnel to handle Giannis in any way. He makes for an excellent payup option.

Nikola Vucevic FD - $8100 DK - $7800
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 45.08 DK - 47.61

Like we said with DeMar DeRozan, the Bulls are in a good spot against the Detroit Pistons on this slate. The latter are the second-worst defensive efficiency team in the league and aren’t projecting to get much better in the short-term. Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic continues to just do the same thing year in, and year out. He’s averaging 17.6 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, which are eerily similar numbers to what he’s done over the last half-decade. It makes him a reliable option nearly every night.

Keep an eye on the Rudy Gobert injury situation. If he were to sit again then Karl-Anthony Towns (FD 8500 DK 8200) and Naz Reid (FD 5800 DK 5700) would jump to the top of the value list.
