And over the last month or so, he’s averaging a crazy 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists per game. A true triple-double every single night has him making sense even at these crazy prices. Fred VanVleet FD - $8600 DK - $8600Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 47.21 DK - 50.2 The Rockets are still without Alperen Sengun and will be for the foreseeable future. That’s left a lot of production for the dudes who remain with Fred VanVleet, getting major minutes and usage in the short term. His shots per game are up about 15% and over the last three, he’s averaging 20 points, 10.7 assists, and five rebounds. Sure, the price has come up, but it’s in line with production. Now, he gets the league’s worst defense in the Washington Wizards who are playing shorthanded. This is a very easy play. Jalen Green FD - $7900 DK - $8100Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 43.09 DK - 47.09M Similarly, Jalen Green has become a much more reliable fantasy threat in the short term with Sengun on the shelf. And over the last month, the dude has seen a steady diet of minutes and shots. He’s averaging almost 25 points per game in that stretch, taking more than 20 shots in each of his last two games as well. Green can heat check with the best of them and the price on both sites is still totally reasonable considering the context and the matchup. The latter was chalk on both sites, crushing his projection in a big way with 17 points, 11 assists, and four steals. The shooting was a little run hot (6-9 FG, 4-7 3PT), but the 32 minutes are encouraging. They should be there again for him tonight. This is an easy play considering the price didn’t really move. Gradey Dick FD - $5300 DK - $5200Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 25.75 DK - 28.4 If Gary Trent remains out, I think we are still getting moderate value on Gradey Dick here who has been starting, running 30+ minutes in each of the last four games. During that time, he’s putting up 11.5 points on double-digit attempts per game. He needs to knock down threes to really hit a ceiling, but that is for sure in his range of outcomes. It’s crazy to think about paying these prices happily in cash, but the performance warrants it. Immanuel Quickley FD - $8300 DK - $8500Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 46.23 DK - 50.04 The Raptors are in a bit of an injury mess lately, and don’t seem all that incentivized to win either. It’s making for a somewhat tricky situation fantasy-wise, but we should also see a ton of minutes and shots from Immanuel Quickley here. RJ Barrett has already been ruled out, and IQ should run a lot of the offense. He’s played 36 or more minutes in five of his last six games, averaging 21 points, and 10.5 assists per game in that stretch. He’s been one of the big ceiling fantasy changes over the second half of the season after the trade, and amazingly, the price hasn’t all the way caught up. Tyrese Haliburton FD - $9100 DK - $9400Opponent - CHIProj Pts FD - 46.25 DK - 50.3 The Pacers are on the second half of the back-to-back which could be a bit problematic, though I still expect Tyrese Haliburton to run full minutes here. He played 36 minutes last night against the Thunder, going for 18 points and 12 assists in the win. His price has stagnated some in the short-term thanks in part to major struggles shooting. He’s sub-20% from three over the last couple of weeks. It should just be a blip, but it’s limited the scoring for sure. His price is still pretty reasonable, all things considered, and Memphis isn’t going to provide much in the way of resistance, either. And we should see more minutes and looks from Bogdan Bogdanovic with Johnson out of the lineup. The former is in the starting lineup, and the minutes will be in the 34-35 range if the game is close. He needs to put the ball in the basket to really hit, but 15 or so shots should be in the diet here considering the state of the Atlanta team. Vasilije Micic FD - $5400 DK - $5300Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 28.59 DK - 31.68 It might be a bit weird to start things off with Vasilije Micic, but we have some good reasons to do so. For starters, he’s in the starting lineup now with Cody Martin (and LaMelo Ball) on the shelf. And there’s a chance Tre Mann sits this game out as well. Over the last three games, with an increased role, Micic is averaging 15.3 points and 5.7 assists while getting after it on the defense end as well. The price doesn’t totally reflect the new opportunity and there’s a chance it even expands if the Hornets are down another guard. That’s going to have a trickle-down effect on the rest of the lineup in really every area of the box score. With Victor Wembanyama off the court this season, Devin Vassell has the highest usage at 25.3%, and he sees the assists and rebounds tick up as well. This game’s 238 over/under is the highest of the slate, and while there’s some blowout risk for sure, Vassell isn’t priced like a guy who is now playing without Wemby. Lonnie Walker IV FD - $4800 DK - $4600Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 33.64 DK - 36 Cam Johnson has been ruled out for the Nets after tweaking his ankle last game. That should mean Lonnie Walker moving into the starting lineup or, at worst, seeing considerably more minutes for Brooklyn who is already without Cam Thomas in the backcourt. Walker has the best +/- on the team and will take shots at a decent enough volume, even when running with the main group. Keep an eye out for the starters here, but even if coming off the bench in a sixth-man role would mean a cash game play at these prices.
